While Juneau is already isolated from the rest of Alaska, this renovated 1929 Scandinavian log cabin places you on the far edge of town, right on the coast, and with incredible views of the ocean and surrounding wildlife. The property has all the amenities of home, but the environment pulls you to the panoramic view of the maritime highway, watching the tides rise and fall throughout the day. Great hosts, clean cabin, comfortable beds & warm wood stove. Amazing stay!
Even saw a bear eating apples the final day. Juneau is beautiful. Amazing view from the cabin.
We loved this cabin from the moment we walked in! Rustic but clean and comfortable. Plenty of space for our family of 4 and the kids loved being able to look for rocks on the beach right outside the front door or sit by the firepit. Close enough to town so that it's no big deal to drive in each day but far out enough to get your dose of wilderness. Make sure you have the right vehicle for getting down that steep driveway!
The property was spot on as advertised. The hosts gave us great tips on fishing, restaurants etc The view over the water is hard to leave to explore elsewhere ! Loved our first visit to Alaska ?
