Oceanfront Beach Cottage with private yard, and 50 yards too the sand

Cosy furnishings, well equipped kitchen, comfortable couches in living room, access to beach for surfing and walking path, and great happy hour food and drinks at restaurant next door. Something for everyone!

This home was perfect. The location was ideal, it was very clean and well maintained, and it had everything we needed. I would recommend this home to anyone!

The property is simply stunning. There is not a better location. The owner was so wonderful and helpful. The amenities and instructions were impeccable. The bedrooms were so comfortable and the bathrooms amazing but the outdoor patio and yard area was the absolute deal maker. We are already planning our visit for next year.

We had a wonderful time. Property was exactly an advertised. The hosts were fabulous, the cottage was in a great location and beach access was less than 5 minutes door to sand! Couldn’t ask for anything more.

Such a cozy place to spend a rainy Christmas vacation. The hosts were friendly and readily available. The house was immaculate. The beds were comfy. The kitchen had everything we could possibly need. We enjoyed the fire pit. The beach was only a 2 minute walk across the street. We will book here again.

The location was fabulous. So easy to get in and out, lovely beach not overcrowded, the property right on 101 and yet somehow so private!Everything needed for cooking, eating, relaxing in shared or private spaces. Perfect location! Easy walk to restaurants, village, and direct beach access across the street. Patio was perfect for viewing the amazing fall sunsets. The house was clean and equipped with everything you need.

We have stayed at many Carlsbad beach rentals over the years, but this is THE ONE. Photos cannot do justice to the experience of staying in a home that is so welcoming and comfortable. We seniors enjoyed the lovely decor, the well-thought-out appointments, the convenient parking, and the beautiful grounds. But the best of all are the fantastic views and the perfect location. Can’t do any better!

This house was perfect! It was much larger than we expected, but it was exactly as shown in the pictures. The view out the living room window was wonderful. Our days were spent at the beach, out to dinner, and then back to this beautiful home to enjoy the views with a glass of wine in the evening. Thank you to Pam and her husband for making our stay wonderful. We hope to be back next year.

What a great host! Zero complaints and we felt like we were at home! Clean and tidy with beach toys, chairs, shade that were of great quality.

The location is beautiful and so close to everything. The home is spotless and well stocked with everything you could need. It truly felt like home away from home. I loved the outside patio area where we were able to eat and play cards. This was a much needed getaway and the house did not disappoint. Thank you Pam for being so attentive! Great home! The location was perfect, view of the ocean and a short walk to Carlsbad village. Also, provided everything needed for a day at the beach!

We have stayed here quite a few times over the years and the house has everything you will need for a day at the beach. Accommodations are very comfortable and the kitchen is well stocked for cooking and grilling.

Best decision I’ve ever made on VRBO! This house is a historic landmark that was renovated years ago. It was the PERFECT location for our vacation! A private home with 2 bedrooms and 2 1/2 bathrooms! We (my husband and I) stayed here with our two adult children (18 and 20) and had the time of our lives. We surfed, had a BBQ, hung out at the beach, watched cable TV, sat by the fire pit on the deck and ate at all of our favorite restaurants. We also went fishing in a nearby lagoon. Everything is within walking distance. This house has a private parking space to the left of the garage so we never had to worry about parking if we left to go somewhere. Pam and Al were amazing hosts! They literally have everything in the house that you could possibly need: chip clips, griddle, stain remover for clothing, etc. We will definitely be back! You can rent a 335 sq ft room at a resort in Carlsbad for 400 a night or you can rent this private beachside house right on the ocean for the week at a reasonable price. We are SO glad we found this place! I cannot say enough wonderful things about the memories we made here. Just incredible!

This is the largest and most well-appointed house we've rented in the North County area so far. Incredible view from the front, a nice stroll from Carlsbad Village, and across the street from the beach are all added bonuses. Very well appointed kitchen, great appliances, I can't think of a single negative. Great communication from the hosts.

MPut together a spur of the moment trip and stayed here for five days. It was the most amazingly perfect stay in absolutely every single way. The hosts were so phenomenal and accommodating to any need we could have thought of. The time flew by so quickly that we were saddened to leave. We are actually looking forward to planning a future stay.

Loved spending time in Carlsbad. The village has lots of interesting shops and really great restaurants. This location was walking distance to the village and beautiful beach.

I was disconcerted to see that 50 yards to the sand meant that you have to cross a 4-lane road to get to the beach. The space is lovely and immaculate and perfect, except for the non-mention of the road.

We loved the location of this house so close to the beach and the window in the living room was the cherry on top! What a great place to reset and have a perfect set up for conversation and rest! The listing said there was a hot tub, it wasn’t important to us but maybe that should be updated.

Our stay was better than expected and we are looking forward to staying there again. The kitchen is stocked, there is everything you need to have a fun beach day and the couches that pull out into a bed are very comfortable. The beds in the rooms are also very comfortable. We highly recommend this location!

My adult family of 5 stayed for the week and it was the perfect location and home for our son's wedding in the area. Vigiluccis is on the same block and is an excellent restaurant. It is close to Carlsbad Village shops and eating establishments. Try 264 Fresco too. The owners are close and were very accomodating. We absolutley loved our stay and highly recommend. Location, location and location. Parking was also easy for 2 vehicles. Kitchen has everything you need. Thank you Al and Pam for a perfect home away from home.

First of all the owner of the property was warm and welcoming. The location was great the view and proximity to the beach and the walking area along it was fantastic. The actual home was clean well stocked with dishes and utensils and the living are was comfortable. If I had any issue, and it’s only mine was the steps within the units to get from the living/kitchen area to the bedrooms and bathroom, i have a bad back. But that was a minor inconvenience that didn’t impact the enjoyment of the property
