Oceanfront Beach Cottage - Rockaway Beach

The house is older and has some quirks. But we loved it. It was everything you’d imagine a beach cottage to be. It was comfortable and the beach was right out the door

Quirky home with all of its unevenness, but somewhat charming. Very very difficult to use range top because the whole stove sits angled toward the wall. Leveling it would help a lot. Same with fridge. Very little cupboard space.. why not pull out the whole stack of saucers that take up valuable space? I’m sure theyre not used. Great shower and counter in bath. Love the 2 decks, you could get out of the wind. Thermostat in master Controls what ?We would have cleaned out fireplace, but there was not a metal container around to do so. Needs a little TLC re paint, etc and perhaps a touch of updating. Rear deck needs replaced.. a little dangerousRealize this is a pet friendly place; but there was pet hair that seemed to get in food & on counter.

My husband and i have rented this home on the ocean several times. We love the views and location. The home is older but clean and cozy and we always have a wonderful time rain or shine on the coast. I would recommend staying here to anyone. We look forward to visiting again.

It’s been 27 years off and on of staying in this perfect little beach heaven. It’s got everything you need or want and is quite private and cozy.

Older but comfortable oceanfront home with deck, covered patio and private yard. Can walk to shops in Rockaway and easy beach access.

This was our 2nd time at this house. The location is key as we love the ocean front. Perfect size for us and the layout is nice. Unfortunately it wasn’t the cleanest. Food particles in kitchen sink and on stove top, spare hairs in bathroom, the tub needs a good bleach scrubbing for sure. We had a bit of an ant problem. I do understand it’s a pet friendly home but lots of fur coming up from carpet. We had a lovely stay at Rockaway.

Absolutely darling beach cottage! My husband and I and our sweet dog stayed 5 nights. The cottage was amazing - spotless and furnished with everything we needed for our stay. I also very much appreciated receiving check-in information well in advance of our stay.

We had the best time and I the house was amazing. I knew that it was stocked with many amenities but was happily surprised that they even had more than I imagined. As far as kitchen supplies, towels, shampoo, just everything. I will definitely stay here again.

The property is special, great house, awesome views right on the beach~ nice yard and deck, plenty of chairs & tables outside, decent furniture inside~ plenty of towels & blankets~ they listed the price and then charge you 20$ more a night which stinks and they would not honor the listed price so that was really unreasonable and awful. Too bad because it’s a great place~ don’t think I will use Vrbo again with this situation.

Location is fantasic. Wonderfull outside. Neighbourhood is nice and quiet. It is an older home. Very clean.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. There is nothing like being right on the beach. One of the trails to the gorgeous sandy beach was right next to the home. I appreciated the couch cover on the one couch so my dog could be comfortable just like at home. The beds were comfortable and the house was stocked with everything we needed. Loved the hammock and the chair that sat right at the edge overlooking the ocean. Thanks for the fun stay!
