Oceanfront 5-Bedroom Home in South Bethany - Dog-Friendly

This property is wonderful! The beach access made shuttling little ones back and forth so easy. The kitchen and living area are terrific. We’ll definitely return!

The view from the living room and deck was wonderful. The living room and kitchen combination were updated and very nice. all the bedrooms need updating and the downstairs where the laundry is located is very dark, spooky and smelled like a cellar. Overall the house was in a beautiful location and the view was great. However, looking up prices of the neighboring very large and completed updated homes on the same street, the cost of a 4 day stay was more expensive than a full week at the other homes. We were allowed to check in earlier on our first day which was very nice.

It was an amazing trip to Bethany, right on the beach! Location can't be beat and the weather this October is perfect for a escape to the beach.

My friends and I have been making this trip to the beach for 11 years now. Our first stay in this house and we are already looking to book it for next year! It had everything we needed and the view and proximity to the beach was beyond incredible!

While only four adults stayed in this property the week of Sept 14, 2024, it would be the perfect property for multi-generational families. The bedrooms were comfortable, and the kitchen had everything we needed for three good cooks. The weather was very windy and cloudy most of the week but being able to sit on the deck and enjoy viewing the ocean was great. We also brought our dog who loved being on the beach.

The positives first: The property view is magnificent. The house floor plan is open in the main area and is conducive to really being together and enjoying vacation time and having fun! The deck is wonderful with plenty of heavy duty seating and gorgeous views everywhere. Plenty of bedrooms. It really could be so much better with just a bit of attention! It also could not have been easier to check in with Vacasa. Excellent communication and just super simple to receive the front door code and go right in! We had an amazing time and though we came home today, I miss that view already! The negatives/suggestions are for the benefit of the property management company and the owners: whoever you are paying a great deal of money to for the purposes of cleaning--it is not getting done. We had to vacuum immediately upon arrival. We didn't do under beds or beside/behind any furniture or fridge but it sure does need it. The hall shower has a moldy shower curtain liner. The bedroom with the bathroom in it needs a scrubbing from top to bottom. Just a little more attention would be great. And though it did not diminish our overall enjoyment of our vacation, with these prices--a clean floor and bathroom aren't too much to ask for I don't think! I know in a beach environment humidity can be a problem. Mattresses are not very comfortable and sofa could use a good cleaning and refreshing as well. TV's in every room would be a nice thing as well I think! Had a great time-we love Bethany!

It is an older home. Main area open and comfortable. Bedrooms dark and need freshened.

You can’t beat the location of this house at the edge of the Bethany Beach dunes. Unfortunately from the moment we walked into a fly infested house, the property left much to be desired. Mattresses were uncomfortable, bedding and towels were scratchy and low quality, dated furniture, dust and cobwebs were easy to find. The whole place needs a deep clean. The view and deck are spectacular, though an umbrella would be a nice addition. Also to note, there were problems with the dishwasher (didn’t work) and dryer (vented inside the house). Vacasa sent maintenance people who confirmed they didn’t work but did not fix anything. We were reimbursed about $300 and seemed to be dismissed by Vacasa staff, which left a bad taste. Overall, I would keep looking…

Just what we were looking for…location was quiet, house was clean and comfortable, dog loved it as well.

Loved having a huge set of windows looking out on the beach. Loved the upstairs area for the kids. Will definitely be returning. Already looking at dates.
