The host was great to work with. Lovely house, and great location.

Needs alot of painting and a deep clean on most surfaces. Gravel under deck and new mattress on twin rooms. Carpet in rooms stick locks on bathroom doors dont work. Check deck for safety. Better rugs not torn in bathrooms. It was ok but was expecting as nice as pictures. Thank u for our stay. Sorry to be so honest...

This was exactly what we needed! Perfect size for our family, ideal location, and had all the amenities needed. Having the beach chairs AND a dolly to transport to the beach was ideal.

This is a classic beach house. Location is perfect. Great AC - kept us Northerners nice and cool in the heat. Space was just enough to accommodate our family members.

The house is right on the beach and you can hear the waves beautifully. The house has everything you need to cook and to relax. The owner's even have plenty of beach chairs to use while there, which makes it so convenient.

Another great summer at Sunset Beach. The house is comfortable and the owner goes out of his way to make sure things are well kept. Look forward to next year!

Great house at sunset! North of the Pier and 2 houses from the walkway. A nice walk to the inlet. The kitchen is minimal so if you are a cook you should take a good knife and your go to pans. No crab pot! Screen porch is awesome as is the outdoor shower. We will definitely go back!

House was perfect for our family! Grandchildren who range in age from 3 - 17 loved it . Adults did too! Many happy memories made!

This house was so pretty and very accurately described! When the wind tore a screen, they were there to fix it very quickly. There was great communication between the owner and our group. He was quick to solve and issues that came up. While the beach cannot be accessed directly from this house because of the dunes, it was very easy to walk the two houses down to get to it. I do recommend a beach cart for transporting your things if you have more than a drink and a towel. You can see the ocean from the porch, but the dunes were very high at the time we were there. So it was not quite as visible as I had hoped, but it was still nice to see what we could.

This property was well maintained and very clean. Loved the outdoor firepit. Enjoyed the back porch where we were just steps away from the ocean. It was so peaceful and we really enjoyed our stay. Did not like the VRBO check in. Would love to rent again but not through thos company

Eight adults (women's book club) stayed and we didn't feel crowded at all, the home is so spacious. The large kitchen is well equipped with everything we could possibly need for cooking and we really appreciated the use of beach chairs and bikes. Perfect place for our weekend getaway.

Extremely clean. Kitchen excellent. King mattresses excellent. Everything fine. 6 old card playing, wine drinking, shopping women intend to come back.

Clean, spacious, beautiful views of sunrise and sunset. Quick walk to the beach. Very relaxing time at beach house. Loved hearing the ocean waves sounds while sitting in screen in porch.

Our 2 week stay at The Escape was terrific, as usual! We especially appreciate the kitchen, open living area, porches, king beds in ocean-facing bedrooms, covered parking, lower level laundry and outdoor enclosed shower.

Just what we needed! Everything as described. We will hopefully be back!

The property is right on the beach and has great views. Its easy to get to the beach access. There are plenty of chairs and umbrellas for use, which makes it nice for families.

Great location. Short walk to the beach access. Loved the screened porch and sun deck overlooking the dunes! Beautiful kitchen and large open floor plan! Could use a little bit of a refresh with decor and flooring. Bedrooms get a little stuffy with doors closed,ceiling fans would be helpful, but box fans were available to use. Overall very nice! Would definitely stay again!

This is the fifth time we have stayed at the Escape. The place is roomy enough for our family of seven plus one grandchild to be very comfortable. Pat is a very attentive host. We can hardly wait to return next year

Not only is Sunset Beach family oriented, so is this property! Very child friendly. Had a wonderful screened in front and back porch. The grandkids loved running from one end to the other while the adults could sit back and watch. Great proximity to the beach. The house had plenty of room for 5 adults and 2 children. Great accomodiations!!! Thoroughly enjoyed our stay! It was a pleasure meeting Pat Haynes! Was nice to put a face to the owner! :-)
