We are a group of 9 lady cousins who get together a couple of times a year to catch up on life’s happenings. We chose this house because of the beauty of its location, the size and layout of the home to accommodate us and the large kitchen area. The home did not disappoint! The kitchen was well stocked and had 2 fridges which worked out great for us. There was plenty of room for us to spread out and a large dining table for us to gather for meals and game playing…oh, and there is a game room as well!! The home was very clean. We also met the caretaker who is a wonderful lady. She made herself available for anything we may need. The view from this big and beautiful home is to die for! This home is definitely on our list for a return stay!
Location and house itself were lovely and as expected and beautiful. Undrinkable water was not expected and should be put on the sinks as we did not see the notes on the 2nd fridge before we had drank it and gave it to our dog. The furniture needs updating too, nothing matches anything, the rocker recliners were dirty and broken, bar stools don’t match each other and one has a huge chip in it, the Velcro sectional couch kept coming apart and was very uncomfortable. The water did not come out of the spigot in one of the bathtubs, only from the shower. We only had one used sponge and 2 dish towels for our kitchen cleanup. The drawers have crumbs in them and need to be wiped out. But it was well stocked kitchen and plenty of bath towels in the bathrooms. The beds were comfortable and sheets were nice. The outdoor space was great!
Beautiful and comfortable home. Views fabulous, kayaks too much fun!...I love the mgr, Denise, very receptive. We go to Maine at least once a year, hoping to hit this home again as its lovely.
The ocean was right up to the property, which made the teens and kids thrilled to go out and explore the tide pools at low tide, and kayaking the bay at high tide. Bedrooms and entire home was spacious. Ample necessities were provided and of good quality. The home is luxurious feeling and far enough away from city life that you can shut it out when you want, but plug in and access points of interest when you are ready for more action. Definitely recommend.
We loved our stay at this beautiful home in Harpswell! Great house with everything we needed, including a wonderfully wheelchair accessible bathroom. Thank you for a perfect vacation-can’t wait to book for next summer!
We didn’t want to leave!
Awesome place, right on the bay which provides beautiful scenery! Everything was clean and there was more stuff provided than I had expected! Very fun trip, everyone agreed this place was awesome.
Booked this house for a birthday long weekend celebration. House is beautiful with ample space. Amazing views with great decks and outdoor spaces. Star gazers and nature lovers will not be disappointed! The game room with pool table and old school arcade games made the stay extra fun. Would highly recommend.
My family of 5 and I stayed in this home during Christmas holidays and the photos don’t do this justice. This is a wonderful property, in a wonderful area and the property owner is beyond gracious. He has a maintenance and cleaning crew who are very responsive and so nice! I will be staying here again if I am in the area again! Thank you so much for your hospitality.
If you plan for a large group to stay at this house / it will sleep 6 adults and 4 children comfortably. There is a fourth room (not shown) that may possibly have been an office that has 2 beds. This room is adjacent to the laundry and water softener pumps. Which can be loud at various times . The house has an amazing view off the kitchen. The fire pit is a great addition. And fully stocked with wood. We highly recommend the house. The area and the view. We would definitely rent this home again
We were in town for a family wedding. This location gave us plenty of room for everyone to get ready. We really enjoyed the beautiful view. We had all that we needed to prepare family meals.
Very impressed! Super clean and spacious. We had 8 adults on the trip and it never felt crowded. Highly recommend this place
Beautiful property with breathtaking views of Casco Bay. My group included a wheel-chair bound father and sister with Down Syndrome, so accessibility is a factor for us when booking vacations. It was so nice that the property is equipped with a wheelchair accessible downstairs and truly brings the ocean to your doorstep for those who have difficulty walking to the beach. At the same time, my husband and I are very active, so we could enjoy kayaking every morning on the Bay. Nate and team were lovely to work with and the house was equipped with everything we needed. We loved our stay and hope to come back!
We loved this home, and had a wonderful time in Harpswell. Nate was very responsive to our questions, and we met Dee, the caretaker, who was very friendly and truly wanted to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. The house was immaculate and very well equipped with things like toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, hand soap, bags to use for your trip to the grocery store, and jugs of drinking water. There was also plenty of firewood for campfires and propane for the grill. For groceries, we went to Hannafords in Brunswick, and Uncle Pete’s right up the road for a few things we forgot and to pick up a few extra adult drinks. The house does not have AC, except a single unit in one of the bedrooms. It was smoldering hot the first few days of our trip, and the house was pretty unbearable, but thankfully the heat broke and we were able to enjoy the cooler breezes, and sleep in comfort. There are fans throughout, which helped a little. The location of the house cannot be beat. The views all around are stunning, especially at sunrise and sunset. It is a very quiet and safe area, although some people drive too fast on the nearby road, so you have to be very cautious walking, especially with all the blind curves. We enjoyed kayaking (there are several kayaks and life jackets), watching the tides come in and out, and searching the beach for seaglass. We highly recommend walking to Potts Point (check it out at high and low tide for two totally different experiences) and Graveyard Point. We saw so many crabs, hermit crabs, and periwinkles… it was amazing! We also took a trip to Bailey Island and explored the beaches there to continue our treasure hunting. There aren’t a ton of super close restaurants (we had no idea Estes had closed, so that was a bit of a bummer for us), but Dolphin Cove was a short drive with scenic views, a nice atmosphere, and really good food, as well as Erica’s for a laid-back vibe and yummy lobster rolls. For ice cream, check out Pammy’s, and/or drive to Brunswick for an interesting selection of flavors at Gelato Fiasco, as well as lots of restaurants to choose from and shops to peruse. We went to Pepper’s Landing, and the food was fantastic… try the pickle brined chicken! We noticed that the water at the house felt slimy, so it seemed difficult to rinse soap off when showering, washing hands, and washing dishes. Definitely did not ruin our trip! There is so much to explore in the area, and we hope to return in the future!
This amazing property is just 50 minutes from downtown Portland. On the water with nice sea breezes which we relished during this very hot week. Loved sitting by the fire pit watching the gorgeous sunsets and then shooting stars at night. Within 5 miles we were able to get lobsters right off the boat. The Dolphin and Cook's restaurants were an easy drive. Lots of day trips for the explorers. Host quickly responded to any questions we had to ensure we had a great stay.
This is a very special place. Right on the cove, with fantastic tidal variation. Glorious to wake each morning and see the birds, hear the lobster boats and just be present with the beauty of this secluded Maine waterfront home. Nate is a wonderful host-we had a great vacation with friends and family here.
