Ocean Views From Every Bedroom, Private Beach Access, Hot Tub, Game Room, WiFi

Overall the place was everything you would need. Well stocked, comfortable, easy access to the beach. The three things that diminishes my review are as follows. The house is literally on the highway. If there wasn't a hedge/fence, you could spit on the highway while standing on the sidewalk against the house. Maybe I missed that in the description or didn't take it so literal. Sleeping was very difficult due to the road noise in the upstairs bedroom on the east side. Secondly, although there are steps to the beach, they really are just huge rocks that were set in such a way to be used as beach access. Very wonderful to be able to be right on the beach without dunes to hike over, but for older people and young ones, these rock steps are HUGE! Reviews and pictures are there to make people aware. The deck is a little bit in disrepair. There are a few rotton boards that if someone weighted enough, could possibly fall through. Be careful! The last thing is the fact that housekeeping doesn't clean the drains. The upstairs bath is very slow and the downstairs bathroom sink seems to have some linkage problems with the drain and is also very slow. Unfortunately, that is just gross to me and is common in all house rentals. it is slightly overpriced for these reasons, but it was clean and right on the beach. The description is accurate in my opinion. The host was available in a timely matter and we had a great week here. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your lovely house!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this ocean and beach-front property. Direct beach access and breathtaking ocean views, including unforgettable whale and sea lion sightings from the comfort of the family room, made this property truly special. The house itself is comfortable, featuring two family rooms, comfortable furniture and mattresses, and a kitchen stocked with the basics. The hot tub was a fantastic amenity. Though located on PCH for convenience, guests should be aware of highway noise, especially in the front bedroom (the two back bedrooms remain peacefully quiet and offer equally fantastic views). Bring charcoal and lighter fluid if you plan to use the grill, and a Bluetooth speaker if you want to stream music while you’re there. Waldport and Yachats are close by.

We loved our stay at The Dreamer By the Sea! It was the perfect space for our family of 5 and conveniently located to the lovely stretch of coast between Florence and Depoe Bay. The beach felt like our own private getaway and we saw whales spouting and surfacing every night our our windows. Teri was a fabulous host and was so responsive. The only very small negative was the proximity to the road. Traffic noise competed with the waves in the early morning and evening, but we got used to it quickly. Overall, a wonderful stay!

We had the best time. Location was great! We saw tons of animals and can’t wait to go back!

The view was great and the home was cute and cozy. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need to cook. There was a great selection of tea and coffee that we enjoyed. Beds were comfortable. We enjoyed the hammocks and the parking was good. On the downside, the dining room table only fits 4 people, which made it a challenge to play games with all our family. The ants are a big issue and were all over in the cupboard we put our food in and on the counters. Which resulted in us have to throw food out. Behind the downstairs couch there is tons of dead ants. We noticed that when switching on the lamp. Although the beds are comfortable, the pillows are terrible. The upstairs bath/shower barely drains. The path to the beach was really over grown, luckily we had small trimmers with us to clean up the path so we could access the beach. The hot tub had a lot of sand in it and the temperature of the water was cooler than it should be and we were unable to adjust it. Next to the hot tub there is a large hole in the deck that one of our guests fell in and cut her leg. Very small amount of toilet paper in the home and we ran out half way through our trip. That was definitely an issue for us. Those types of essentials should be stocked enough for a guests stay. There is a lot of expectations that make it challenging to complete by checkout when trying to make breakfast, pack up and getting ready for the dayWe paid a lot of money for our stay and were disappointed.

Great stay, outstanding property, great ocean view!

We had a wonderful time at the beach house. The views and beach access were great and I also appreciated the beach themed decorations throughout the house. It was cute watching the bunnies in the yard every day and on our first day we got to see a bunch of by-the-wind sailors on the beach. The only issue is that there were some ants around the house, especially downstairs. But the owner was very responsive and immediately sent traps which helped. I do recommend that people check the hot tub to make sure that it is set to the desired temperature. It may be on a timer which may reduce the temperature. There was some noise from the highway in the back bedroom, but all of the rest of the rooms were able to enjoy the sound of the ocean. Overall it was a lovely house with fantastic views and we had a great time!

This property is well maintained, secluded, well located between Waldport and Yachats, and had lots of comfortable places to chill, all with incredible views of the ocean. The best part was being able to walk down to a largely empty beach. Only minor issue was ants in the kitchen, so just make sure to keep crumbs to a minimum and food bags secured. Otherwise, we look forward to being back here again!

This house was tons of fun the game room was perfect for our kids to play video games and watch movies. The hot tub and the view of the beach was great but it rained for most of our trip so we spent alot of time inside enjoying the view from the upstairs living room!!

Three generations here that all love this house! There is room to spread out and have your own space or two family rooms and game room to hang out together- not to mention outdoors! Everyone enjoyed the views from their room, deck and hot tub. We had some germaphobes with us that didn’t have one bad thing to say- very clean and organized. Loved all the amenities the house had and the friendly host that helped us with a couple requests. We can’t say enough good things about our stay. We are already planning our next trip. Thank you!

We love this house so much! We’ve been coming back here for a few years now and love the updates every year like the high-tech fridge, chargers in every room and the updated menus the owners get from local restaurants. The owners think of everything and more- we really appreciate that! Teri is super responsive and is helpful with any questions. The house is always clean, comfortable and spacious. The views are amazing! Thank you for another great stay and we will be back!

I have stayed on many places on the Oregon coast and this was not the best bang for my buck. I really wanted to enjoy this place because the pics online are so beautiful but they are deceiving. It’s much smaller than it looks online, not very cozy. There was an ant infestation all over the house. The smoke detector chirped the whole time so we went and purchased a battery just to find out the smoke detector was expired and the back door handle was rusted closed so my we spent our own money for that as well and my husbands time to fix it to be told there would be no compensation for that because she didn’t approve it. However I didn’t approve renting a home I was going to have to repair but here we are. The view was very pretty the steps to the beach aren’t safe. Overall a lot of deferred maintenance.

We stayed for Christmas this year. Very easy drive to Waldport, Newport and Yachats. The views from the hot tub were incredible! Plenty of room to spread out (2 living spaces, big bedrooms) and easy access to the beach. Clean, quiet, everything we needed. Will book this house again and again!

We loved this coastal house! Right on the beach with views to die for. The hot tub was divine. I would definitely return.

We stayed here in mid October. The beach was virtually empty, so it was like having the whole place to ourselves. The location is good, close to Waldport and also not far from Yachats. The kids enjoyed the hammocks in the game room (converted garage). There was plenty of room for 6 of us. The views are incredible, but the windows are likely impossible to keep clean from the ocean salt. Would definitely recommend this if you're looking for something on the beach!

Stunning beach. This property was overall fantastic and yet the main thing I wanted in renting this cute home, was to sit with my coffee in the morning in my bed downstairs, in the living room, or on the deck as my kids slept, with the advertised views to the ocean. All photos are deceiving in that, other than the upstairs sitting area, you can only see the beach by standing up. The overgrown hedge is over 5’ high and since the house is well above the beach, privacy would not be compromised had it been trimmed as in the photos. Even accesses to the beach and the bench were not trimmed as photographed. Seems like renting out at this rate could have warranted a quick hedge trim. Great privacy fence separating house from the road but traffic noise can be significant so may want to bring ear plugs for sleeping. Wonderfully appointed kitchen but no kettle so had to microwave water to avoid coffee taste of hot water through coffee maker. No dishrack was present. All mattresses were foam so if you don’t like firm beds be prepared. The rate seemed fair for the location and the interior decor was just wonderful. The plastic shower liner was therefore a surprise. Two screens were bent and didn’t work great. A smoke alarm was chirping our third night there so apparently batteries were not regularly changed. The host suggested we change it! Had to get up on a tall chair to do so as there was no ladder. Outdoor chairs are all plastic. Steps to the beach were discussed but FYI BIG.

This was our third time staying at the house and it once again was fabulous. The owner is super nice and easy to communicate with/very responsive. The views are superb, love the beach-facing hot tub and all the space is great for a trip with friends. Love that they added extra chargers/adapters throughout the house. The location is nice - quiet and away from other neighbors enough to where you feel like you have your privacy but close enough to town to make an easy trip in for food, shopping or touristy things. Would for usre stay again.

Great location. Nothing better than the sound of the ocean. Outside area was perfect to enjoy the scenery. Traffic noise was a bit annoying.

We loved the layout of this house. For mom and dad with two young boys it wad perfect! The boys could hang out in the game room on the first floor while mom and dad were working or watchjng tv on the second floor. The boys could even play on the beach while we watched from the upstairs windows. The hammocks where the highlight for our boys. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking tools. Wr loved that all the bedrooms had proper blackout curtains. That helped us getgood sleep. The views and beach access were impeccable.

Clean, comfy, spacious, well-appointed and with great views of the beach!

Wished I could have stayed a few more days.
