Very lovely house with great light and beautiful views
We liked the layout of the home, but were disappointed that we were unable to use the hot tub (it was supposed to be fixed the day before we arrived) and the grounds could use a little TLC. It would have been nice if there was a table umbrella on the patio. We were unable to check in at 4 pm because the housekeeper was still cleaning it. Aside, from all that, we did enjoy our stay and love the area.
Easy to find, well kept, clean, all we needed in a stay.
a well equipped kitchen, nice bathrooms
Wonderful stay…just wish the hot tub had worked.
A very comfortable home on beautiful property with flowers everywhere, huge updated kitchen. A very nice place to stay!
We had a wonderful time at this house in Albion. It is really well kept, very clean inside, and has a nice outside space. The hot tub with an ocean view is great. The kitchen is newer and spacious, great for cooking for a couple (which we were) but would also be excellent for a group/family. It's a quiet neighborhood, and although there is a little noise from Hwy 1 it felt cozy and private. It's an easy drive to a lot of great spots along the coast, and right next to the Albion river. Check in was straightforward and simple. Vacasa manages this property and we received several ready-made texts from them about our experiences (check in, cleanliness, check out, etc), but no response to the messages we sent through VRBO - not an issue, just a little impersonal. Overall this was a good experience and we would stay here again.
Nicely updated rustic home Easy access for all Good to get away and recharge!
Our stay at Albion Ocean House was an experience to say the least. The home is beautiful and well equipped. The views are stunning. But we had the misfortune of being caught in a “bomb cyclone”. Nobody’s fault, just bad timing. We lost power and water in the storm. Again, nobody’s fault. But the local Vacasa staff stepped up. They understood our dilemma and refunded us for the time without utilities. Amazing!! We will definitely be coming back to Albion Ocean House (in better weather)!
The home was very clean and well stocked. There was a toaster oven, microwave, and coffeemaker as well as standard kitchen supplies. The home functions well as two separate primary bedrooms, with each having a full bathroom. The bed in the primary room with the bathtub could be replaced as it was a bit soft. The home felt so much more spacious that we expected and had big windows of the ocean views in the living room, dining room, and one of the primary rooms. The hot tub was just a couple of steps out the back door. There was a somewhat funny smell from the water in the hot tub. Although the tv was mounted in the dining room, it had the ability to be turned so that it could be seen by anyone sitting in the living room. The wifi worked well and we were able to use wifi calling with ease while at the home. Overall, we really enjoyed staying at this home and would return in the future.
My husband and I enjoyed our stay at Albion Ocean House. Only issue was that a big storm came through the area and we were without power for most of Saturday. Since the pump for water was also electric, we were without water as well. It may be good to place a backup generator for instances of this type.
Great location. Beautiful views. Excellent kitchen. Comfortable beds. Just perfect.
Close to excellent restaurants and activities
Ocean view home with free WiFi, private hot tub, furnished deck, & gas grill Star Star Star Star Star Spent hours driving to Mendocino 6mi to get service to reach out to Vacasa The front door didn’t lock and the internet connection information was wrong. 3days to get service, our friends has to leave early because they couldn’t work with out the internet. The last night a stranger enter’s the house while we were at dinner left the door open with our dog inside and the house is on Hwy 1. They left a iPad on the kitchen counter , when we called t property manager they had no idea who was there!! Service from the Local Manager was terrible and we were only offered $75 compensation . We are going to challenge the fee with our credit card company Date of arrival - April 30, 2022 Reservation ID #F14PNH1K
The house is larger than I'd guessed. Rooms are well appointed and kitchen is wonderful. All the cooking amenities we needed. It was quiet in this neighborhood. Loved all the flowers around the property and the scents of eucalyptus and ocean were a bonus.
We liked everything about this home, from the mass of pink rhododendrons welcoming us at the front gate to the modern and well-stocked kitchen, to the dining table perfect for card games and family-style meals, to the 2 en-suite bedrooms with baths at opposite ends of the house. We slept so well here! The house is across the street from a great restaurant and you can walk down to the Albion River and rent a kayak. We hosted my elderly parents here and we all loved it.
