First of all, the view and location are hands down the best. This cute little home in Gualala was just as described. The bedrooms were comfortable and it was nice having one room upstairs for the teenagers to escape too. Having 2 1/2 bathrooms was also a plus. I would return here in a heartbeat. We spotted several deer, sea lions and starfish from the deck. We also saw ships, boats, and beautiful sunsets every night. The sound of the ocean was absolutely soothing. The kitchen was adequate and we had everything we needed to prepare our meals. Living room couches were comfy. yes they were ants, but that was also part of the rental description and it was not a dealbreaker for us. Some of the dressers were a little aged and drawers were harder to open, but it was manageable. Overall, I think this is one of my favorite rentals to date.
The view was magnificent but house needed some updating badly. Main downstairs bath particularly. Living room furniture very uncomfortable and all furniture mismatched:old. Main bed downstairs very comfy and loved the hot tub. Beautiful spot with some updates could be magnificent!
Beautiful ocean views! We came prepared for no dishwasher and washer as the other reviews had called it out. The kitchen is stocked for basics so we didn't bring much. Overall a great stay!
Clean, well-stocked with essentials, beautiful view, lots of light, and plenty of room for privacy for 2 couples.
This place has spectacular views and is walking distance to town. There was enough room for our two families which consisted of four adults and two teenage boys (14 & 17), although there were only 5 dining chairs so we had to improvise. The larger beds, King upstairs and queen downstairs, were comfortable, however the other two beds (double downstairs and twin upstairs) were uncomfortable and could stand to be replaced. I wish I’d known there was no washer/dryer or dishwasher, although I realized afterward they weren’t listed as an amenity. We also brought our own BBQ. You really can’t beat the location of this place though! We all enjoyed our time here!
Clean and comfortable. Watched dolphins, sea lions and whales. Some windows showed how hard the environment is on glass but the critical windows were fine.
We had a spacious home with beautiful views the ocean. We had everything we needed to be comfortable. I would stay here again. It was so fun to watch the wildlife.
This property has breathtaking views and you can easily fall asleep to the sounds of waves crashing. The kitchen is adequately stocked with pots and pans for cooking needs. Will definitely return to this property in the future.
Nice view but that is the only positive thing I can say. The property is not just dated but downright shabby and poorly supplied….no dishwasher, no BBQ, “fireplace” (silly little gas stove) that we found impossible to operate. We would never stay there again.
This was a beautiful property and worked perfect for our family. The house was clean and comfortable and the hot tub, with a view, was amazing. The only down side is no BBQ or access to a washer and dryer, but we knew that when we booked. The beds were comfortable and they offered plenty of blankets and pillows to get cozy. Thanks for a great stay!!!
Great stay. Looking forward to booking again. Would recommend a mattress cover for master bedroom suite... older mattress has stains that are unattractive even though clean sheets. Spa was awesome and great for viewing stars. House a bit dated and should really consider replacing some of the light switches as they could short easily. Proximity to ocean hard to beat. We came to the area to celebrate my wife's 50th birthday, to relax and to hear the waves pounding on shore... this property exceeded the desire. We were able to cook and enjoy our stay without needing anything else. We did being our own small BBQ... there did not appear to be one at property? Overall a great stay. Didn't want to leave. Would be willing to help with repairs if we could stay more often? Scott
This property is ocean front fabulous. In neighborhood of modest homes on cliff above the sea. Great views from every room. Very clean home. Easy check-in/out.
What a perfect getaway for our family. Hot tub was great and the view was unbeatable. We will be back as soon as we can
Beautiful home
Check in was so easy. Breathtaking view of the pacific ocean. Nice and clean home. Close to general stores and restaurants. Hot tub was a plus.
An awesome place to truly relax
Fantastic location.
Quiet neighborhood, gorgeous view. Yep -dated decor and one tiny tv, kitchen pots pans were scraped up, no disposal or dishwasher. But if you want to be outside with a breathtaking view and have a great base for exploring - this is perfection. Great water pressure. Gualala is the cutest. We tried Vue for dinner (great), Anchor Bay Thai (busy but great), wish we had discovered Tink’s sooner- section of heat & eat soups, lasagne looked nice. We did laundry one day at the Anchor Bay laundromat and had coffee across at White Cap with chess. Hikes around Sea Ranch were close and fun. Seals and the cool forests were our faves.
House is dated and I suggested to them to replace the very old mattresses and box springs but it was clean and the views were amazing!
It’s a perfectly good house perched above the ocean in a beautiful spot. It’s got a hot tub outside and plenty comfy inside. I could leave the review with that because that’s the most important part of my stay there. I will add though that the acrylic panels that protect the hot tub from the wind are so aged they make seeing through them difficult. Think of wearing extremely dirty glasses, especially when the sun is it just the wrong angle. I found myself thinking for this amount of money per night they should be replacing these pieces of plastic so I can see the beautiful view I came to stare at. So that’s a note for you owners to consider replacing those. On a different note the lovely giant tree in the front yard is horribly overgrown with an ancient ivy plant that is threatening to kill it. You can see the tree is already dying and is ridiculously overweighted with likely a couple thousand pounds of ivy. It was super windy when I was there and I found myself hoping it wouldn’t blow the tree over onto my car. So I feel that the ivy is both a threat to the tree and to who’s ever near it if it ever falls over. That tree trunk is not designed to hold the weight of that ivy. Other than that it was great and I’m really glad I got to stay there. Thanks.
