Ocean-view home with amazing sunset vista, pool access, steps to beach boardwalk

Dead bugs everywhere, mold on vents, dirty dishes in the cabinets, dirty carpet, stains on beds and pillows, stains all over couches including brown splatter stains. Very far from the description and photos online.

Pros: less than 5 min walk to ocean, beds were comfy, quiet neighborhood, very close to DQ, plenty of room with 4 bedrooms. Cons: only 1 of the 3 tvs worked, house was not the cleanest when we arrived, pots and pans and kitchen utensils could use some updating as well as stove. Family time we had was priceless! Vita Bella could use a few adjustments but it served us well as we pretty much just slept there. Weather was close to perfect! Will definitely be back to Avon next year! It’s our paradise!

We made a last minute decision to make a trip to OBX and found this house. We enjoyed our stay and everything we needed was available at the house.

This home was on a quiet street, just steps from the boardwalk to the beach. Our family of 6 stayed here comfortably. However, we saw 6 different cockroaches during our stay and reached out to vacasa many times who said they'd send someone local to check in and never did. Otherwise, the house was clean and had absolutely beautiful views from the deck. The outside shower was a hit with our kids and we went daily to the Hatteras Club Pool with our family after we'd spend hours on the beach. The house was minutes from grocery stores, ice cream shops and cafes and bakeries and we walked to get coffee one morning. All in all, we had a great stay here, but please, get an exterminator.

Overall we enjoyed ourselves very much. Location was great and the house was wonderful. Other than that small water leak and the upstairs bathroom shower curtain probably should be replaced because it has a lot of mold on it it was a great stay

House was very clean and perfect for my wife, daughter and I. We enjoyed the “loft living room” and beds were very comfortable. The walk to beach short. I would recommend chairs on the top deck and a tv in the bedroom.

Stayed for a week. The house was nice, had everything we needed and the location/proximity to the beach was great (along with the price). However there is a significant leak in the house and bc it rained off and on for the whole week we had quite a bit of water coming in from the celling in the dining area. Like enough that we had to put out a bucket and dump it several times in a day. We notified the rental company and they said they would have someone fix it, but it seems to me like it's going to take quite a bit of work to get it fixed properly. Other than that we enjoyed the house and would even consider returning if we knew for sure the repairs had been made.

I will start with the good! Location is amazing. Restaurants are plenty and not a bad meal. Walk to the beach is easy and super close. House was big enough for us all to be comfortable! Now.. my feedback on the home. Mattresses we low quality and not in the best condition. There had been previous water leak that was still not repaired. The fridge make noise all night and the ice maker never quit. The decks (both) had amazing views but were in serious need of repair. All in all we had an amazing time but this property needs some TLC for sure.

We appreciated the close vicinity to the beach, however, we had to climb a sand dune and walk through an enormous amount of heavy sand to get to the beach. This normally would not be a problem but when you are weighted down with beach paraphernalia and gear and have bad knees, it is torturous. It would have been nice to know that in advance. It would have influenced where we stayed.

We had a good time at the house. The dryer did not work, some leaks in the house during a thunderstorm, some mold and unpainted drywall, but for the price it was a nice house that was close to the beach. We were a little unhappy with Vasaca... wanted to get into the house early (it was clean and ready to go) but they were unaccommodating. We may consider staying next year.
