Ocean Perch, Dock, Open Water Views, 80' Heated Pool, Tennis, 20 Min to Key West

The location and views were awesome. Prooerty was very clean. Unfortunately other guests were loud and obnoxious during all hours. Used our outdoor equipment, filled our trashcans. Called property management and they did not seem to care.

Everything was good. We were able to see alot of things and do alot of things.

The kitchen was well equipped, the host was very responsive, the views are amazing!The property could use a little maintenance. There are several broken pieces off outdoor furniture and all kinds of clutter (pictures and old TV) stored inside the closet. The location was great. Close to Bahia Honda State Park and many great restaurants:)

It was a very nice place. Beautiful views! Loved grilling and sitting by the water. Loved the pool at Venture Out. Nothing better boat rental delivered and picked up our boat rental. It was a very convenient spot. Host had good communication.

Communication with host was good, being right on the water, neighborhood seemed friendly & safe, Convienient to things.I loved having the washer & dryer. The VRBO listing/photos do not represent what the place is today. The whole place inside/outside needs a facelift. Everything is old, broken outdoor furniture, the beds are not good.The frames themselves are too big for the small rooms. In the master I kept my kneecaps knocked off as I was walking through to the bathroom. The bed to the left was rickety, seemed like it was about to fall apart. A lot of the décor, furniture is not what you see on the VRBO add. The shower in the master leaked bad at the head and shower door is broken at the bottom. I couldn’t understand why the master bedroom mattress was so uncomfortable. My neck/shoulders kept bothering me when I would get up and I would keep a headache. I took the bedding off on the corner to see what kind of mattress it was, so I would never buy that brand, only to find that the whole pillow top mattress was flip completely over, all along I was laying on the bottom springs part of the mattress. Honestly, I was scared to flip the mattress because I couldn’t understand why it was that way to begin with. So over half of my vacation was laying on the bottom of a mattress, and my body stove up all the next day. Bring extra toilet paper/towels.I don't have enough space to type everything I wanted to. Just know the VRBO add is not representing it's current state but a nice host.

We had another great time at this wonderful spot. The deck is absolutely lovely over the water. Sunrise is stunning every day! The house is well represented in the pictures on the site and is well stocked with practically everything a visitor might need. We already made a reservation for next year and we are looking forward to it!

We had a great stay! It's more of a 40 minute drive if you are going to old Key West but either way we loved the house and the views are gorgeous. It was so nice to sit out on the porch and drink coffee in the mornings.

The unit was clean and had a wonderful view, however it was not in good repair. The windows were difficult to open and almost all the blinds were broken and could not be raised. The deck had broken furniture and needed to be stained. There was a fee to enter the complex which was an RV Park.

We enjoyed our stay. Only stayed 3 nights. Didn’t use any of the facilities but still had to hand over 125 bucks for them .

Everything went smooth and communication with Susan is a plus. Thank you for letting us stay a bit extra!

Great place with a great view

Enjoyed or stay. Great location.

The house has a great layout, kitchen was nice. Good sized bedrooms, nice clean baths. The upstairs patio offers amazing sunrises, with the groun floor patio a great option when it warms up. Wonderful views of the water.

Our recent VRBO stay had a lot going for it, especially the location—it was truly ideal. Whether we were heading to the ocean, pool, other Key or exploring the local area, everything was conveniently close and easy to access. The property itself had potential, with a nice layout and outdoor space that could have been perfect for relaxing. Unfortunately, several maintenance and amenity issues detracted from the overall experience.Both beds were in poor condition, with visible lumps and sagging that made for uncomfortable nights. Three of the outdoor chairs were broken, limiting our ability to enjoy the outdoor area. The sliding door lock was also problematic, requiring manual manipulation to secure it properly. Additionally, the absence of beach towels and a cooler was disappointing. We've stayed at many VRBOs before, and these items are typically standard, especially for beachside properties. These oversights made the stay less convenient and enjoyable than it could have been.

The host Jennifer was great with contact. The house was fantastic and we absolutely loved being on the water and the fabulous view we had. It was so relaxing and just a wonderful place to stay. We will definitely be making the trip again in the future.

I think it's horrible that after our requests to stay was approved and paid for we were informed that facility that we were staying in would be charging us an extra 125 just to come throw the gates. We didn't use any of that park's amenities and hadn't planned on it.

The property online looked well kept and maintained, but this was not the case. For the most part the cleaning people did a good job. The inside and outside need some updating. The deck paint is peeling off, several of the exterior chairs are broken, the grill is not covered and weathered. There was only a coffee pot for use that worked, the toaster handle was broken, and no other appliances for a house that most would use on a vacation in the keys. There were only a few glasses/mugs that if you drank coffee/water/juice you would have to wash them due to only having a limited amount of some in the cabinet (we had 4 adults) The bed in the 2nd room squeaked if you barely moved and the floor was soft in several spots making one wonder if they would fall through. The ceiling fan in that room also had constant scratching noise, not conducive for sleeping soundly. The floor in the hall bathroom was questionable in several spots as well. The Venture Out fee of 125.00 (129.99 with taxes and CC charge) for the amenities (pool) since we did not travel with a boat or RV was a little much due to limited amenities that we could/would use. I would definitely say the view was nice, but the house was not worth what we paid.

Fabulos house ,excelent location , we had a great time .

We enjoyed our stay, the property was nice but definitely dated. Could use a few updates. More information regarding the parking of an extra car would be nice. We were aware that only one car could be parked at the house and that there was extra parking there for 5.00 per day, but not that the parking would fill up and you would have to get parking at locations off site. We didn’t get there until 9:30 at night and none of the offsite locations were open or answering their phones. We ended up having to drive into Key West to park in the Home Depot parking lot until parking became available at Venture Out. Other than that issue we had a good time and now that we know about this and can plan for it in the future we would definitely stay again.

It was just what we were looking for, as a family

Annual boys trip to the keys, for sun, fun, and fishing. Location was outstanding, great views, and close enough to Key West to make daily trips if needed. Would definitely recommend, and easily stay there again. Check in/out process was easy, everything as advertised Thank you!

While the accommodations are basic, the view and location more than make up for it. Easy check in, the community is quiet, well kept and lovely to explore. The home itself could use a few updates, but you’ll get what you need. We were too distracted by the views to really notice or care. Happy to have a peaceful refuge from what can sometimes feel chaotic in Key west, Just a short drive over

Great neighborhood and with community amenities included. House could’ve been cleaned with more attention. Looked a bit like it was a rushed house pick up before our arrival but overall the home was comfortable for our short stay in the keys! Easy to find and check in!

This unit is very old and dated. The mgmt was very communicative so that was a plus. The wifi was not secure so not able to do work related items, although the manager did offer another option for a couple of days to use a diff unit until someone else checked in. The location was nice to be able to be right on the water, but the unit smells very moldy/mildew. It needs a serious overhaul. Would not pay the price that we did for this unit again.

Enjoyed the stay and beautiful view

You can't beat the views. We loved the deck and covered patio. Right on the water. Fun to cool off in the ocean. The house needs a bit of TLC -- lots of broken blinds, missing pull cord on a ceiling fan, etc. But overall, a fantastic place to spend a week.

We had a great time , we did however did not recueve any warning that the piwer would be shut off both days until 3pm

We love the location but house was dirty, and rundown. The pictures on Vrbo had to be from 10 years ago. No TV in 2nd bedroom. Blinds were in bad shape. The roof on porch had been torn off in previous storm, and not replaced. It needed a lot of TLC. Contacted owner about the cleanliness and she said in a round about way we were hard to please! You pay a cleaning fee and expect it to be clean. The best part of the trip was time spent with family and the gorgeous view. I would recommend the view and that is all!!

Lovely two bedroom waterfront property is reminiscent of a beachfront cottage in New England or the Outer Banks. If you're expecting a Marriott timeshare on an expensive island in the Caribbean as some of the previous reviews seemed to be then then perhaps look elsewhere. But if you want a comfortable winter escape in an absolutely perfect location both within the resort as well as where it is in the Keys then this is for you. We enjoyed the beautiful view from both the upper deck as well as the shielded downstairs patio (beautiful sunrise), grilled several times and swam every day in the community pool and the ocean. We'll be back.

Location was on the water it was in a trailer park. The house was not clean I personally swept the floor twice. Floor needed to be wet mopped ceiling fans worked and were quiet. but blades were dirty Propane grill was filthyNothing like the pics. They said we could only park one vehicle in the driveway. This driveway could have held three cars. We were supposed to park the additional car in the overflow lot. That was full. So we had to park in an off site area. Kind of silly to just not use the driveway that was available. Florida HOA. Have had trouble with Venture One in the past.

We loved the house! Thank you for being so flexible with us. We thought the second bedroom had 2 beds when we booked online but it only has 1.

We stayed 3 nights. The community is very nice. The views at this specific location are to die for!!!!! It unit itself is perfect for a short term stay-pans need a good cleaning or updating. Could also use touch up paint/floors are in need of attention. There’s a spot in bedroom #2 doorway that is so soft-soon someone is going to push through. Communication with host was awesome-she even allowed an extra hour for check out-which was greatly appreciated. I could not stay here -long term-however for a short stay it was perfect for us. It DOES need some attention

It needs some tlc the floor in the second bedroom needs fixing it feels like your going to fall through it. And the place didn't look like it was cleaned the stove was dirty, the toilet had uren around the base, and the floors weren't swept

The view was amazing but the inside needs some work. Soft floors in one of the bedrooms and bathroom. There was one spot that we had to step over to avoid going right thru the floor. Outside furniture was in need of repair, chairs with broken slats. Most of the window blinds were either broken or didn't open at all. Compared to other properties in Venture Out (we had family staying in two other rentals two roads over) this was overpriced compared to the others we saw.

The location and view made up for everything else . It’s in a community called venture out and they make you pay 125 fee upon arrival for amenities . We did not utilize amenities ..Our place was what was expected as I had read other reviews about the floors being dirty etc Yes floors were very dirty , we brought stuff to wipe down all the countertops in case . We go to the keys a lot and some of the things people mentioned about the place was fine for us ( broken chairs, ripped towels) It would have been great if there were kayaks or bikes to use on premises . We noticed the rental next door had those to use. It’s def a plus when you go stay there . Jennifer was always very responsive with me , I did appreciate that . Overall not sure we would rent here again

Unit could use a deep cleaning. Main sliding door lock is broken. Master bedroom shower lacks adequate hot water. Had to take lukewarm showers.

We picked this place for the view and it didnt disappoint. We brought our electric bikes and used them pretty much everywhere.

Second time staying at this Venture Out resort, forst time at this specific property. Location is a dream and waterfront is a blessing. Quick drive to KW and a bunch of the state parks and beaches. With that being said, we never felt truly at home.or welcome here. Constabt signange of what is forbidden and how much the penalty / fee will be. Difficult to get a hold of the host - the propane tank for the grill was empty upon arrival, but without a response from host we couldn't grill, unfortunately. Overall, I would recommend, but comms could use an upgrade.

Renter be ware. This house is gravely misrepresented.  It is NOT safe to stay here. The property manager (Jennifer) and the owner (Susan) don’t care about fixing the problems at this house.  It has wet rotting wood floors (we have photos and videos that we shared with both Jennifer, Susan and VRBO). There is also a mold problem. Jennifer will tell you that it was simply that the AC line was clogged during our trip, but that is not the truth. They are just covering it up and continuing to rent this property so they don’t have to fix the problems. IT SMELLS AWEFUL. It’s not just a musty smell — it smells so badly that we couldn’t sleep there.  It’s a lazy rental - they place is on the water so you get sucked into that — and I will give the property that it has a nice view, however beyond the awful smell, the house isn’t clean, dogs at a shelter have better towels than the ones they provided, if you have 4 people, only two of you could enjoy a glass of wine. It’s a joke. They offered us another place to sleep (in a motor home on the canal) - not even close to what we rented. Our vacation was short, and we made the mistake of not going somewhere else right away. Never again. They wouldn’t refund us a DIME for this horrible vacation. I rarely leave reviews and most of the time I won’t leave one unless I can give it 5 stars, but this was so awful, I had to share my experience to let anyone know that this is a joke of a rental and you will be sorry you stayed here, unless you can’t
