Ocean or Bay steps away- Beach House with charm and comfort

Our stay in San Diego was great and in big part to Lee and this house. Close to just about everything. Walking distance to Belmont park for the kids, great restaurants, and shopping. Lee was responsive and very helpful. Highly recommend!

This was truly an outstanding property with an outstanding owner. Check-in was great. The owner met us at the property and showed us around the house. He helped us navigate, by phone, to the property after I made a wrong turn while driving there from the airport. The house was excellent, very clean. The garage was large by Mission Bay standards. We only had a Toyota Corolla, but we could have parked a full-size car in there. The kitchen was fully stocked with utensils in case you decide to cook. There is a large bedroom on the ground level, With a full bathroom. The master suite is on the top floor with a full bath and a small deck. The second floor has a bedroom, a half bathroom, the kitchen, dining area, and living room/common area. The house is only a three or four-minute walk from the boardwalk on the Pacific Ocean side and about a two-minute walk to the Mission Bay side. There are two good restaurants right across the street on Mission Boulevard and another restaurant about two blocks south on Mission Boulevard, which has outstanding burritos. The owner has conveniently supplied menus for all of these restaurants available for your review. I would definitely stay there again on my next vacation to San Diego

Lee is an incredibly welcoming host. He is responsive, kind and sincerely wants to ensure guests are comfortable in his place. The space was perfect for our 3 generation family weekend. Beds were comfortable, the place was clean and well appointed and kitchen had everything needed for meal prep. It is also nice to have dedicated garage parking for one vehicle. Lots of beach supplies too! The location is really ideal: very walkable for enjoying the beach and bay and all the shops and bars and restaurants nearby. Quick drive to Balboa Park, the Zoo, downtown, etc. Definitely recommend and would happily stay there again.

Owner was great and helpful

This was the most comfortable place to stay for our big family. We had a blast. We walked to coffee and the bay and beach. It had been our favorite vacation house we have stayed at.

What a perfect location! Right off the beach and next to the bay! The host couldn’t be more wonderful- the best ever! He made sure that we had everything we needed in a well stocked home. He is hands on without any intrusion.

Great house and great location!!!

Nothing better than a week at the beach with kids and grandkids. The house was in a great location between bay and beach. Lee was the perfect host - met us when we came in, encouraged us to call him with any wants/needs and to enjoy the time. Beds were comfy. A great stay!

The house was nice and in a great neighborhood. I loved looking at all the cute homes as I walked along the bay. Walking distance to both the bay and the ocean were good, with the bay being within steps. The ocean is a couple of blocks. Lee met us at the house and was very welcoming. I would recommend staying here, but just know there are a lot of stairs in the house if you have old knees like mine.

Very little counter space in bathrooms, other than that all was well! Great location

We just returned after a wonderful vacation in MB staying in this rental. Lee was an amazing host. He met us at the house to walk us thru the property, point out important details and share his favorite locations and restaurants in the area. He was also quick to respond with any questions we had during the week. His rental was very clean, comfortable, well furnished and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. We would definitely stay here again and again!

The owner was amazing. Took the time to stop by and meet us and show us around. Left menus and information for us. Has everything needed for the beach, chairs, umbrellas, towels, games, even a wagon to pull everything. I was able to cook several meals due to having everything needed in the kitchen. The beds were comfortable. The location was amazing, just steps from the beach. Highly recommend staying here. We would book again!

Great Place and excellent location to the beach and bay.

Truly enjoyed this property! Beds were super comfortable, bathrooms/kitchen very clean, a garage that fit my Chevy Equinox with some room, literally less than a 2 minute walk to the beach, 30 seconds to the bay, Better Buzz Coffee and The Hub convenient store right around the corner.. plenty of restaurants in walking distance- location is perfect! Lee was extremely helpful and kind. Stocked with boogey boards, lawn chairs, beach toys, and beach towels. Has a propane grill for when you want to stay in and cook dinner. It also has a hose on the bottom porch to rinse your feet of the sand before going into the unit. Has a washer and dryer in the garage which was nice too! Highly recommend this unit.

We were family and friends of a MCRD boot camp graduate and had a wonderful time being two blocks from the ocean and two blocks from the bay. We were super comfortable and Lee could not have been nicer or more accommodating.

This property was in a great location with a very quick walk to the beach, lots of good restaurants and stores nearby, and the neighborhood was lively but also seemed very safe and was quiet at night. The property is very clean, beds were incredibly comfortable, kitchen had everything we needed, and there were even lots of beach items--towels, chairs, beach toys, a wagon to cart things to the beach which was so nice to have.Lee was such a good host! He met us when we arrived to make sure we found the place easily and help us get acquainted with the property and the area. He was so friendly and really made us feel welcome. Thank you so much! We felt right at home here! The property is in a great location. Lots of things within walking distance. The house is bright with natural light. Lots of space for everyone. The master bedroom bed is so comfortable!!

This was our first stay using Vrbo and we couldn't be happier. This property was absolutely perfect and the hosts were incredibly accommodating. The location was amazing giving us easy access to everything and the property was stocked with everything you to enjoy the beach. Better than expected, can't wait to come back...

We enjoyed staying so close to Mission bay and the Pacific Ocean. Just a few minutes walk to get to both. Lots of great restaurants within walking distance, too. Comfortable home with everything we needed. Lee was a super kind and helpful host.

The house is perfectly situated with minutes walk to either ocean or bay as well as several cafes and dining options. We enjoyed watching sunsets and catching a coffee or meal without getting into the car. The house was clean and well stocked. The owner communicationwas terrific. We would readily return.

Perfect location, great place!

The host works very hard to ensure everything is provided as stated - and it was! Many thoughtful little nice-to-haves if needed - toothpaste, shaving cream, sunscreen, etc. His restaurant recommendations were right on. (Try Moe's for Social Hour, and the pizza place down the way.) We enjoyed the beach and tried out our new metal detector - didn't find any diamond rings, though. Never got a chance to try out the barbecue, but the patio is large and has plenty of room to sit out and people watch - we would have used it more if we hadn't been sightseeing and visiting family. Enjoyed a couple of Dodger games on the large tv (sorry, Padres/Mets fans!) Beds were ridiculously comfortable. Would definitely stay again.

Perfect for a beach trip

The stay was outstanding for beginning to end. Lee greeted us at the property gave us a tour. The property was stocked with beach, chairs and umbrella and a cart. View to the Bayside and the beach. House was squeaky clean. Kitchen fully stocked With utensils and appliances. They even supplied. Toiletries that you might’ve forgotten. I don’t often review. But I was itching to author this one. Outstanding.

We had a great stay. The house enjoys a great location with beach, bay, restaurants, and a market all within very close proximity. The house was perfect for our three small kids (2-6 years old). Lee was extremely responsive and helped resolve all our needs during our stay. The garage is large and relatively easy to get in and out of. We would definitely return and rent here again.
