Ocean Access + BBQ Pit: Surfside Beach Family Home

The house was perfect for my family's gathering. The view the access to the beach.

Clean rooms,great views the house it self can use some upgrades like paint and some siding replacement more for esthetics deck did not feel satble so we didn't use it wather pressure in downstairs bath very minimum other then that a good little spot for a weekend get away

property was clean for the most part.. host was very nice also maintenance guy. Beds that we slept on had hair on the beds like the sheet were not washed and flooring were not cleaned in certain areas. House is at an excellent location and very nice. I guess when you pay 248 for cleaning so i expect cleaning.. like instruction state leave as you come in so i expect cleaning cause im paying for it.. but it was a pleasant and relaxing weekend.

The owner/realtor was easy to communicate with, very helpful and quick to respond to my emails. Great beachfront location. AC works really well, it gets extremely cold at night. The house needs extensive deep cleaning and TLC. The downstairs bathroom did not seem cleaned properly upon arrival and smelled of urine. I cleaned it with cleaning products that I brought. The air vents were full of mold spots and dust. The faucet and shower water is brown and smells of rust. Two of the windows in the dining room do not lock properly. There is a big dip in the kitchen floor. Every kitchen utensil is extremely old/questionable cleanliness so bring your own. I would not book this beach house again.

Really enjoyed staying here. Great location on the beach. We had 3 adults , 2 kids and 2 teens and there was plenty of room. Loved the swings on the deck facing the Gulf. No problems , comfortable and had a great time. Check in was smooth , kitchen well equipped, beds big and comfortable and good BBQ pit. Left you some charcoal. Go and have fun !

The house was perfect for the occasion. Very clean beautiful view and had a great location.

The location was great, just steps from the beach. The house was clean, the beds comfortable and the air conditioning was cold. Cleaning supplies, bath & hair products and paper goods were supplied, which was a real bonus. Nice setup for families with beach toys, some games and books available. What keeps this from being a 5 star property is the condition of the house. The keyless entry did not work but fortunately keys are available. The upstairs shower was beautiful but no hot water, lukewarm at best. One of the window blinds fell out of the window frame when raising it because the wood around the windows were rotted. I emailed but no reply. It stormed one day pretty hard and the windows leaked. We had a bowl to catch the water and a few towels to soak up the rest. The top board of the railing was loose and gave away when my daughter put her hand on it, she thought she was going over the rail! That happened our last night there or I would have been calling someone. The only access to the upstairs deck was from outside and those steps were narrow and steep. The downstairs floors were unlevel and the linoleum was buckled in several places. A whole house water filter would be a major upgrade. The water smelled terrible, but that is a Surfside problem, not a homeowner problem. My reason for choosing this house was the ability to bring my dog which we decided not to. This house could be a total jewel if it had some major repairs. As is it is overpriced.

The house setup is fantastic, and beach access is just a short walk away from the backyard. My only recommendation is to bring bottled water for drinking and washing bottles if you have a baby. There is a clean water faucet to the right when you’re facing the sink, but it's a small tank and can run out of water quickly, especially when caring for a baby and a two-year-old.

Clean, however, house needs many updates. The owner needs to spend some money in many areas to provide guest a better experience. Some light fixtures & sink fixtures look to be dated to 70's. Back deck was wonderful to sit and look at the ocean & beach. A very short walk through the backyard & sand dunes put you on the beach. Backside upstairs bedroom has a balcony overlooking the beach - it is required to go downstairs, step outside to then climb very steep steps to gain access to this balcony - not user friendly (particularly senior citizens) nor practical by any means.

The location was great and the layout of the house was perfect for us. Getting the house unlocked was tricky and after numerous attempts we got in. We couldn't get any hot water in the upstairs bathroom so the maintenance guy came and it seems one must turn the faucet just right or it goes back to cold. There was no body soap nor hair dryer which has never occurred before in all the rentals we have used.

The proximity to the beach is unbeatable! Plus the backyard area is like a tiny private beach itself.The bedrooms are arranged well and the house although small, very comfortably sleeps 12.However, it could use an intense deep cleaning. It’s clear the housekeepers only do your basic sweeping of floors and wipe down of kitchen surfaces. Many areas were caked with dust and the kitchen walls shows signs of old food splatter. In addition some of the cookware was dirty and rusted. One of the kitchen barstools was splintered and had an exposed screw. Two of our party’s members cut their legs in it.This property has the potential to be a gem, but needs some serious TLC.

We loved our stay at this lovely home! It was perfect and had everything we needed pit. The fire pit was fabulous and we grilled hotdogs and hamburgers on the grill. We were just steps from the beach. We will definitely come again!

Wonderful stay. Clean and comfortable. Easy access to the beach. Being able to use the firepit was nice as we all wanted to be outside, but it was a bit chilly the weekend we stayed.

The beach house fit our situation nicely. Beautiful view, lots of beds, and a great fire pit!

This property is small and comfy, everything was ok, but the upstairs bathroom is nasty water not draining when u take shower and all water from faucets smells like rotten eggs and sulphur, refrigerator had mold growing inside, soap holder very rusty downstairs bathroom. On the beach but nothing to rinse off feet before coming back in house. Fire pit totally rusted out.
