Egg Harbor, Wisconsin
Nestled in the woods near the shores of Green Bay this nostalgic log home awaits your arrival - cleaned and sanitized for your safety & peace of mind.
The bay, with its wonderful Door County sunsets, is just a five-minute walk down the road. The lodge's southern exposure provides plenty of light for a very open, cheery feeling. There is sleeping for eight people with three bedrooms plus a loft. Accommodations include two full baths, fully equipped kitchen, dining room, living room with a natural stone fireplace, and a laundry room. A covered front porch wraps around to a back deck that offers a therapeutic hot tub (subject to winter conditions).
Each bedroom features log beds, hand-made by the home's builder. A king-sized bed is located in the master bedroom on the main floor. A stunning log staircase leads to the second floor, where you will find two more bedrooms and a full bath. One upstairs bedroom provides a queen-sized bed and the second upstairs bedroom features a bunk bed which has a full-sized bottom and twin-sized top. Each of the second floor bedrooms have their own sliding patio doors onto a covered deck off the back of the home. The loft area is a cozy reading spot with a love seat (which can be pulled out into a twin bed). There is also a pull-out bed in the living room couch by the fireplace.
The house is beautifully decorated with custom-made barn board and distressed pine furniture through-out, as well as custom wrought-iron light fixtures in the kitchen and dining room. Please feel free to ask for details on our cleaning & sanitation practices.
You may not even want to leave the house, but if you do you are also just a four mile drive straight down Bay Shore Drive to Frank E. Murphy Park, where you will find a sandy beach and a public boat launch in the summer. There are numerous snow mobile trails throughout the county. Enjoy beautiful fall foliage or the hopeful blooms of spring.
Nearby towns include Egg Harbor village, Sturgeon Bay and quaint Carlsville. A scenic drive will lead you to any of the beautiful villages on the Door Peninsula.

Green Apple Lodge was super charming and very cozy. We used the well appointed kitchen for all our meals, made a fire every night, and used the hot tub several times too! Loved the Christmas decor and placing gifts under the tree. We walked our dog in the area everyday. It was so quiet in this remote area and not far to drive into Egg Harbor or up further to Fish Creek and Sister Bay. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!
You can’t go wrong with the Green Apple Lodge. It’s nestled in the greenery right off of Lake Michigan and it comes with everything you’ll ever need. It’s clean, dog friendly, and the quintessential up north cabin. It made our getaway with family and friends one to remember!
Nice house. Lots of light. Well stocked. Had a great time with family.
We enjoyed our vacation in Door County, the location of the property, and the experience of staying in a log home. The hot tub was a big hit. Discovering that the dryer was not functional after our first trip to the beach presented some challenges.
Spent a week at the cabin with family. The region is spectacular and cabin is amazing! Hidden in the woods but just a short walk to the lake! Highly recommend!
Great place, great host, great area!
Picked this VRBO because of hot tub and we could bring my dog. Plenty of space for 6 adults and a dog. The Green Apple Lodge was clean and decorated nicely. Had all the cooking wear we use and want. The only 'down fall was the bunk bed was too uncomfortable for my son-in-law so he slept on couch - but everyone else was comfortable and slept soundly. Great place to stay!
Very nice place for a getaway quick. My wife and I enjoyed our shared birthday weekend. Bevause of time of eyar, we cooked a couple nights there and we basically had everything we needed. Nothing beats that hot tub when the snowflakes were coming down! Thanks for a wonderful stay.
Beautifully secluded with a hot tub was such a peaceful family weekend. Dog friendly is a plus for us. We enjoyed time with my mom, son, DIL and grandsons! Lots of bonding, games to play. One of the cleanest best stocked places we have stayed! Other than food and personal belongings everything is here making is very convenient. Owner very responsive in a timely manner. Would 100% stay here again!
The property was clean, spacious, and comfortable. It was relaxing to use the hot tub in winter. The property had all the kitchen supplies to cook meals. The property owners were not joking when they warned the internet was spotty but that just meant more time for conversation and board games!
My friends and I enjoyed a fabulous weekend at the green apple lodge! The cabin is so cute. It's very clean, spacious, we had plenty of room to hang out and not feel crowded. There were six of us that stayed. The hot tub was so nice to relax in. The cabin pretty much had all the amenities you need. With a full size kitchen we were able to prepare breakfast. It would be great to come back in the warmer weather. I would definitely recommend.
Wonderful property in a great location. Be sure to walk down to the lake - amazing sunsets!
We were again pleased with this property! Beautiful log home with ample amenities. Off the beaten path while still close enough to experience all Door County has to offer. Our only complaint is the poor drainage of the lower level shower…still not improved from our stay last year. However still a fantastic home with excellent communication from the owner! We will be back.
Really enjoyed the home. Nice big kitchen, big dining room and outdoor tables that fit all 7 of us. Hot tub was a big plus.
we had a great time in door county and loved the cabin. so did our dog. our favorite time was sitting on the deck listening to the wind through the trees. will definitely be back!
We enjoyed the property and location. There were a few things that would have positively added to our experience. This includes fixing the kitchen blind so they could go up, fixing the sliding glass door to the back deck and providing dish rags and bath soap. The blow dryer upstairs was broken but I can understand the owners would not know that if not told. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay.
My partner and I stayed at Green Apple Lodge and greatly enjoyed our time! The location is close enough to things to do (among them, check our Burnt Bluff Stone & Glass in Fish Creek-Ryan did an awesome glass blowing demonstration for us!) and still tucked away among gorgeous scenery. Patty was communicative and helpful. We learned upon getting there that the TV remote batteries were missing/dead, and she promptly offered to reimburse us for the cost of picking some up. The place has plenty of room to spread out, and would be great for friends or family to stay together. The downstairs bed was super comfortable and the sheets were amazingly soft-we slept well every night! I enjoyed having a kitchen to use and it is generally well-appointed. That said, I was surprised that there was not a baking sheet or foil, so give what's there a more thorough look for what you need than I did. All in all, it was a great time!
