Nelsonville, Ohio
Charming cottage in the heart of downtown Nelsonville, just a few blocks from town square. We are child/infant, pet, and ATV friendly. We have 1 king bed, 1 queen bed, and 1 futon (in the game room) for guests, along with a full sized crib.
Nostalgic in Nelsonville is a single story ranch with a crib and childproofing (locks, corner bumpers, etc) in-unit designed to be ideal for small families and guests traveling with infants. Hot tub and fire pit on the back second story deck is perfect for relaxing, fully fenced yard is great for pets. Vintage games and foosball to enjoy.
Guests are given an electronic lockbox code for the front door. There is a gravel parking spot to the left of the home, as well as a gravel parking pad behind the home along the back of our fence. Double gates and gravel inside the fence allow guests to pull ATV vehicles in and lock them inside our fenced in yard.
Half a mile from the Scenic Valley Railway (walkable if you desire) 6 miles from Long Ridge Trailhead, 2.5 miles from Monday Creek, 14 miles from Tecumseh Trails. Nelsonville is a small town that was hit hard from the housing market crash. It is slowly recovering and while there are a lot of cute houses around the town, there are also vacant and boarded up homes waiting for someone to restore them back to their potential. Please be aware of this before booking and do not stay if this makes you uncomfortable. All the homes in our immediate block/area are well maintained and our neighbors are very nice.

It was a very cute house, the owners suggested a really great restaurant calling Starbrick. The hot tub was fantastic! And it was a good price for its proximity to Hocking Hills. The biggest issues were: the parking spot wasn't easy to see and the description wasn't easy to understand, especially in the dark on a narrow street. We weren't allowed to use one key cash, despite being told originally it was eligible. They suggest this pizza place in the literature but its prices listed everywhere online are inaccurate. But the biggest downside was the property has a list of chores guests are responsible for prior to check-out. Still overall it was cozy with plenty of amenities. Would enjoy staying again.
Such a wonderful place and host. Family is planning on using again in near future. Only issue was with shower water. It was hot or cold nothing in between.
Everything here was amazing, clean and well organized. You really don’t need much but food and yourself everything was wonderful and stress free
We drove 5 hours to see the sights in Hocking Hills. Arrived at the home and had a fantastic time w/ family. Home was clean and the back yard being fenced was great for our pup. The beds were super comfy. Overall a great stay and would do it again if I were coming back to that area.
We had a wonderful stay. The house was clean and accommodating and the host was very responsive
The interior of the property was clean and new, the back yard great for my dog. Air Conditioner worked great during the hot weekend and the beds were very comfortable.
The home was lovely and had lots of amenities that made our stay very relaxing. The location wasn't bad, it's an actual neighborhood but it was pretty quiet and only 20 minutes from hocking hills trails. I also greatly appreciated having a fenced in yard with two dogs.
The game room is awesome!
Property was pleasant, just like pictures.
We really enjoyed our stay at this quaint little house! There were 4 adults, 3 children & our dog. There was plenty of room for all of us and the house was nicely furnished. The hot tub was amazing after a long day of hiking the beautiful trails. The drive to the trails was about 30 mins. from the house. Everything was pretty clean and well kept. There are a few minor critiques. The bathroom door does not really allow a lot of privacy as there is a large gap when the door is slid all the way shut and it doesn't lock. There is also a need for a few trash bins under the porch for the extra trash bags. The bedroom door in the back of house didn't lock. The toilet doesn't have the best suction power when flushing. However, overall, I would definitely recommend this property!
Home was clean and well stocked. Enjoyed the hot tub and all the games (foosball, darts, board games). Fenced in yard was awesome for dogs. Would recommend trash cans underneath deck for trash disposal. Neighborhood was a little sketchy but they have made the best of situation. Home is updated and cozy!
The house was very cozy, felt very welcomed. The owner was very helpful. Would definitely recommend this house for any looking for a good getaway
Excellent great stay would definitely recommend
Beautifully detailed and decorated. Very luxurious. Would stay again.
This house was perfect for our family vacation. She had it very toddler and child friendly including toys, crib, baby gate and a high chair. The hot tub was perfect after a long day of hiking at hocking hills. Any time I had a question she was very quick to respond.
