Northern Exposure is a nicely furnished 3 bedroom home that can sleep up to 9 in a secluded North Island neighborhood, Captains View. This quiet neighborhood is at the tip of Tybee Island, where the beach follows the point at which the Savannah River meets the Atlantic Ocean. There is a walkway over the dunes very nearby, which makes for a perfect way to walk the beach in the mornings to view the sunrise over the ocean. This home is a great option for family vacations on Tybee Island.
<br>The living area is comfortably furnished and includes a queen sleeper sofa and 40in flat-screen TV and DVD. The dining room seats 8 and has an expansion leaf to accommodate up to 10 comfortably. The eat-in kitchen also has a table that seats 4. There is also no shortage of outdoor space to enjoy with a front porch, along with a partial wrap around deck. The deck is located off the kitchen and offers an outdoor dining table that seats 6, additional seating, and a gas grill, perfect for summer cooking. The front porch is a perfect spot to watch the sunset. There is a one-half bath also located on the main level. The upstairs of the home features 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths. The primary bedroom is furnished with a king and has an attached bath with a whirlpool tub and shower. Both guest bedrooms are furnished with Queen beds. The home also offers WIFI/high-speed wireless internet. There is a gas grill is available for cookouts and an outdoor shower.

The north beach of Tybee Island is where the Savannah River meets the Atlantic Ocean. There are smaller waves on this section of the beach which is very popular with families. You also will have scenic views of the beach of dolphins, shrimp boats, large container ships passing by on the way to the Port of Savannah and very beautiful sunsets. The closest beach access is a short walk away, with a long boardwalk which across the neighborhood's turtle pond.

    For the price of the rental it was not great. Starting off check in was at 4:00, we were not sent a code until 4:30. One bedroom sheets didn’t even look like they were changed. siphon were definitely not prepared to siphon 10 gallons of water daily, from the portable AC units. We were not aware of the portable AC units either. After traveling most of the day in the hot weather we were ready for a nice cool home to come into. Instead we had to got shut all the shutters and turn the portable AC units low just for get the rooms comfortable.Also master bedroom had a extension cord from outer wall across the room to the bathroom (with a one year old that is into EVERYTHING). GFI also tripped with just using an hairdryer had to get into garage to flip the breaker. The smoke detector also beeped for two days, we changed the battery for TVR. Guest shower has horrible temp regulation and pressure. Overall had a great time in Tybee and Savannah with family. Just wish I would have known about a few inconveniences for the price I paid.

    This property was so close to the beach. It was clean and had all the amenities we could hope for on a trip with 3 kids. House was close to restaurants and the neighbors were quiet.

    This wonderful rental was physically as seen via the many photos available on the rental sites. I always like to state in any review both the positives & negatives of a rental as these can really assist renters with their future needs. This rental has tons of positives as it is in a nice community and the home itself very well maintained. Having said that the biggest negative was that of the master bedroom's bedding. We couldn't use this fantastic room as the bedding was such that when you laid on the bed it became a V shape and both people on the bed rolled to the middle. No one in our group could sleep on this thing so the master bedroom went unused. Only other little negative is that the home backs right up to the RV Park AND Dog Park but they created no issues for our stay...just noting! We would definitely stay here again IF that bed is replaced in the master bedroom. A beautiful home and Tybee Island is such a fun place to visit! Mocksville, NC
