Beautiful scenery. The water feature of the property sells it. But your almost impassable roads to get there are a big deterrent. I cant go back for another visit because of fear I would damage the underside of my vehicle. If you could fix the roads, this property would stay booked 365 a year.
We really enjoyed the property. We saw a bald eagle fishing. The house was clean and the views were so beautiful.
We had stayed in this neighborhood last year, so we knew what to expect at this quiet rural community by the sea. The woods, dirt road, etc. The house is really well located. Just one away from the little beach (which made it easy to launch paddle boards at low tide.) It is truly amazing the dedication these owners and neighbors have to their village. Mother nature is in charge on this point of land. Pay attention to the guests instructions on the kitchen counter with tips for respecting the fragile environment and neighbors. We felt lucky to have enjoyed the place mid-week. Very quiet. Breezy and wavy! Nice dock, fishing and bird watching. At times, if felt/sounded like we were on a mountain top at sea level. Great outdoor shower (lock the door securely so the wind doesn't open it in the middle of the night.) Loved the ice maker and filtered water spigot on the sink. Nice screen porch, picnic table, and space below the house to store your water stuff (just be sure it's secured so the wind doesn't take it out to sea). Didn't mind the slow wifi (we were able to work/get email/do a zoom meeting). Well-equipt kitchen. Plan on eating at the house so you don't have to leave (you can't beat the view). Two vehicles fit. If you have more or a boat trailer, it could get dicey. Be kind, chat with the neighbors and work it out. Cozy outdoor land space because you're right on the edge of the water!
We just got back home from our week in this terrific vacation home. We were a bit nervous when the road transitioned to unpaved surface. But any concern melted away when we pulled up to the house. It is very well appointed, with beautiful beach decor and the setting cannot be beat. Check in was seamless and the host was very responsive and accommodating. All in all, the only thing we change is how quickly the time flew by.
We just got back from staying here. The views are absolutely amazing. You are right on the water! We watched the sunrise at the beach one morning, which is only a block from the house. So nice to wade in the water. Kids loved picking up crabs and getting seashells. While sitting on the couch, we could see dolphins! Enjoyed fishing off their pier which is only a few feet from their screened in porch. The bed was comfy and everything was really clean. Went to a local winery nearby one day and explored the town of Mathews and grabbed a pizza to eat back at the house. We plan to go back again!
This place is awesome, stayed here with family for the weekend and couldn’t be happier. Place is really welcoming, really spacious, awesome beds, clean house, in front of the water too. It also has all you need in it. Grill, towels, even 2 kayaks and a fire pit. Only think I recommend owner is to upgrade wifi it is a little slow but other than that place is perfect.
