Did not meet or converse directly with the host and mostly the amenities were good, although finding a pin on the carpet of one bedroom and an open safety pin on another bedroom carpet was worrying with two young children in no shoes. Also, found it strange that one needs to use an extension cord to use the microwave in the pantry. Beds were comfortable and luckily one son is an expert in home automation and TV's as the antennae power plug switch is broken so no wonder TV reception can be intermittent as advised. Eventually found a utensil to light the fire which was handy as none of us are smokers, so did not think to take matches or light with us. Overall, apart from a few minor hitches the family and especially the children had a nice break and kids loved the penguin parade (would recommend to anyone going to the parade to spend the extra and do the underground area as it was dry and not cold and we go to see the penguins waddling up to their burrows only inches away from hoppy little faces pressed against the windows.

So clean and decor was beautiful. All the beds and pillows were perfect. Wanted to take bed home. We all loved our stay here. Can’t rate it high enough. Had aerial trouble with tv but a phone call to Cassandra and we were set. Everything we needed was available. Close to beach and shops and very peaceful. Highly recommend . Kind Regards Judy Parkington

It's an excellent accommodation, located not too far from shopping and restaurants as well as major attractions, with all amenities thoughtfully provided. Great for families with children. We had a wonderful time.

The house has the opportunity to be a great rental, however at present it is lacking, the bbq really needs throwing away it looks disgusting, & whoever was there last didn’t clean it, so we couldn’t use as none of us felt it our responsibility to clean before use & it needed a really good clean! Having to be constantly washing dishes whilst away was annoying, particularly when we’ve all gone away for a break, a dishwasher would be useful! Some new towels are needed they looked old & tatty & plenty of comments were made that it was like using sand paper to dry off,!, it wasn’t particularly clean in the cupboards & draws, even had to wipe the pantry shelves over before using them, would have benefited from a nice outdoor sofa for everyone to sit on instead of a concrete bench & very uncomfortable outdoor chairs! With some extra additions as mentioned above & an attention to cleanliness it would be a great place to stay! I am so sorry it’s probably not the feedback you wanted to hear, but without honest feeedback it does not give the owner the opportunity to develop.

We went to Phillip Island with the family to see the penguin parade yesterday. The house was spotlessly clean and very well appointed and located between Cowes and the penguin parade. The host was very helpful and communicated very well.

Our family of eight (two adults, one senior, and five children aged 1-17) enjoyed the best night's sleep we've ever had in this charming house! We were only able to stay one night due to work commitments, but we wished we could have stayed longer. The house itself was impeccably clean and beautifully appointed. We especially loved the spacious bedrooms, each with the most amazing comfortable beds. The well-equipped kitchen made preparing a quick breakfast a breeze, and the comfortable living area was perfect for relaxing. We all appreciated the peaceful and quiet atmosphere. It truly felt like a home away from home.

We had a lovely weekend in Cowes and the property was really good. Clean, loads of kitchen and cleaning equipment, and the bedrooms and bathrooms were lovely. The property is in a quiet location and easy to find and get in to. Thanks for a lovely stay

This home exceeded all our expectations! It was absolutely perfect for 3 families. The house was very clean, the beds were comfortable, the linen was clean, it had everything we needed & it was close enough to the Main Street of Cowes without being too close. The photos online show the property for what it is. We will be back next year!

I have stayed with family of 8 people in there second weekdays of January 2024. For some reason, Stayz.com.au did not count the number of children as gests so I made apology to the host for it. I was expecting to see the keypad as it was shown on the photo but it changed to the normal key lock. And there was no sale shade at the back and the BBQ wasn't usable condition either (appeared to be not used or cleaned for a while). Not a great place for BBQ regardless of the weather. The dryer was full of bed sheets. The bunk bed room didn't have any ceiling fan so I had to use dusty noisy fan. Kitchen setting was not great to cook for family of 8 and I believe the pan had gone cleaner after I cleaned and used it. Also they claimed for broken blind from bunk bed room. The bunk bed was stuck on the window side and the broken blind was from there. I did not find anyone in my family who broke it after thorough discussion with kids but I can tell it was very easy to be broken due to bunk bed position. One of the bedroom blind was broken already but they did not claimed for it so obviously they knew but did not inform me. I hope they used the fund what they claimed for, this time. I understand it was peak season but cannot justify the rate for 2night with this condition and really disappointed from the fact they claimed for the breakage my family did not make. The money was taken from my account already and there was nothing I could stop it. Not recommended.
