Nice little stroll to beach

We absolutely loved our 10days here. We spent Xmas here. The beauty of the beach made us fantasise about owing a holiday bach at Cooks. Although the weather wasn’t the best the kids found plenty to occupy them. We felt so fortunate that the owner allowed us to use their water equipment like kayaks, boards and life jackets. Had a real home away from home feel: Our meals outside on the deck was wonderful. The bach was a quick walk to the river which is stunning and kid friendly. The host was very kind and accommodating. Fully recommend this place.

Paula was accessible, responsive and generous in many ways to improve our stay and counter potential problems due to inclement, storm weather. Amenities more than met needs of 3 generations

Excellent property for our group - good size rooms, large deck, separate space downstairs, bikes and kayaks all a real bonus. Large yard for cars and room to move around. Shops, beach and river all within walking or biking distance. Excellent communication from Owner. Highly recommend.

We had a great time here-it’s a short walk to the beach and about 15 min walk to shops 2 min drive). the section is large for games and the two levels work well for all ages with a nice deck area for chill time. We didn’t end up using the kayaks but bikes were handy, also the ping pong table. Beds were good, two bathrooms handy and kitchen was functionable. A great holiday-no mosquitos!

Great communication from the host and easy check in. Fantastic location short walk from the beach, well appointed with relaxing beach feel. The listing does state that there are no internal stairs between the upstairs and down which is fine for groups of adults but might be less so for younger children so bear this in mind. Overall there was plenty of room so we were able to work around it. We had a great time, thank you.

Love this place!

We had 5 adults and 3 children staying at the Bach. We all loved it. The location was fabulous for us as we visited the beach (and the estuary) often, and it was less than a 5 minute walk. The street and area generally felt very safe and family friendly, and it was nice and peaceful at the house. The house was warm, comfortable and well equipped. The yard is big and fenced so plenty of room for the kids to run around. We ate heaps of feijoas from the tree in the yard. There were also kayaks to use. Communication with Paula was great, with an immediate response when required. Highly recommended and we will be back.

Fantastic kiwi bach, we really enjoyed our stay here. Everything you need, comfy beds, bikes, kayaks etc 10/10 will be back again!

Great property for our family group of 8. Had everything we needed and we particularly enjoyed the outdoor area and the kayaks!
