Nice Cape Cod home near the Mississippi River (Scenic River Inn)

We loved the view!

Very affordable, fully furnished house at a perfect location. Easy off street parking. Will definitely be back again.

Nice little area, plenty of places to go within walking distance.

Everything good. Except water pressure was awful.

Enjoyed my stay by the river! House was nice. A nice spot to park my boat as I spent most of my time fishing. Was nice to have gas station, variety store and food/tavern options within walking distance. The rumble and whistle of trains at night takes a little getting used to.......but that's part of the river experience!

I ended up not staying at the property due to my personal issue. The host worked with me and was good to communicate with. In area for family wedding. If a small town feeling is what you want, this property might be what you want. The house is very pretty from the outside. I never went inside, again due to my personal reasons, but the host’s prior reviews would indicate it is as she has depicted the property.

Probably the 10-15th time staying here with a group of friends. Deb is a great host and definitely will be back here again and again. Great place on the Great River Road!

Onwer let us check in early, so to beat snow moving into area, even at great inconvenience to her the morning of the snow. Great communication and will stay again

Nice place would book again

Stayed for a weekend hunting trip with friends. Property was conveniently located and allowed us to have our dog with which is a plus. Only negative is the water pressure for taking a shower, but wasn’t a deal breaker for our group.

This home brought back so many memories of my grandparents Olson’s home in Gays Mills. Older home with old home noises, nicely furnished and country decorated. Owners were quick to answer and accommodating. Bonus was the basement access to another restroom and adult hangout. Beautiful view of the Mississippi River and sunsets, spacious rooms and nice backyard. Great access to main road. Grocery shopped on the way. We had to get use to the trains blowing their horn when they came through at night. We would and plan to stay here again!

Property was very clean, amenities were great and met the exact need we were looking for! Highly recommend staying here if you’re looking to get out hunting or fishing on the Mississippi. Boat launch is across the street and very convenient.

It had everything you need and then some to be comfortable. Owners are very friendly and accommodating. Allowed early check in which really helped out! Will be back for sure!
