NH Country Retreat Family Reunions & Weddings

This house and property were perfect for what we needed! Lots of rooms and beds, beautiful screen porch, horse shoe pits, and the most beautiful views. Chris was an excellent host, always responsive and even called to check in while we were there! Thank you for sharing this family home with us!

This house worked out really well for an adult family group attending a wedding at nearby Whiteface Hollow. We actually spent very little time in the house on this beautiful fall weekend. The house was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the bathrooms had plenty of clean towels. As a bonus the surrounding property was beautiful; rolling fields, the foliage, and a little pond.

We were in town for a family wedding - the location was perfect, the property was beautiful and the house was amazing. The host was very helpful coordinating a few last minute details on our end. Highly recommend staying here.

Lovely experience. Our mini family reunion included 4 generations ranging in age from 10 months to 95 years. Chris Alt is an excellent host and we really enjoyed our stay.

From the beginning, the host, Chris, was responsive and helpful answering any questions. We were a multi- generational group gathering from 3 states for a family wedding in the area. This property was perfect and was a quintessential NH experience. The vistas of fields and mountains were stunning and several from our group hiked on around the property. It was beautiful. And the stars at night without any light “ noise” were glorious. The house was perfect for us- enough beds, well- appointed bathrooms with plenty of towels. Its real charm, though, was in knowing it was a true family home where history and family legacy were celebrated and honored. It was a privilege to stay there.

We had a lovely time at Chris's home in New Hampshire. My friends and I had a great time exploring the land and area, playing games in the living room and relaxing in the screened porch area. Thanks for extending your home to us!

This home was even more beautiful than the pictures suggested. We loved every moment of our stay. The trails from the property were stunning, and we hope to come back in the future :)

We had plenty of beds for the 9 of us and the layout of the house was explained well by Chris so no surprises there. The only glitch we had was that 2 of our members have walking problems and even though there were beds on the first floor, one had a high step into the bedroom and the other was blocked so that a walker would not fit through. I should have mentioned the ambulatory problem to Chris beforehand considering the age of the home. Also the beds on the first floor are quite high and the ones on the second floor are normal height. There is a step stool in the upstairs bath.

A great location to gather and stay with family. We enjoyed the hiking trails around the property and the easy access to White Face Hollow down the street.
