Located in the heart of the Hancock neighborhood, this home is just 1 mile from UT-Austin, St. David's Medical & 10 minutes to Downtown, Rainey & 6th. Delight in the comforts of a home away from home as you cook in the well-equipped kitchen or throw some burgers on the grill in the charming backyard. You can rest easy in your two private bedrooms or stretch out in the spacious living room with extra large TV. Pet friendly!

We're conveniently located just across the Hancock Golf Course & Park where you can enjoy a nice walk on the trail. A ten minute walk will get you to one of the coolest neighborhoods in Austin- Hyde Park where you'll find many excellent restaurants, bars, and coffee shops! This home is HIGHLY desirable for UT Football games - you'll enjoy free parking here and a brief 20 minute walk will get you to UT and the stadium!

Large Two Bedroom One Bathroom plus air mattress. Bedroom One has a comfortable king bed, in-room TV, spacious closet and luggage rack. Bedroom Two features a mid-century framed queen bed. Queen air mattress available for up to two additional guests.

The living room has a very large 75 inch smart TV which you can connect your accounts like Netflix to. There is no cable but you will get a variety of local television channels.

The bathroom has a tub/shower combo with a new shower head for strong water pressure.

The kitchen is spacious and well-equipped. There are board games available for your use plus a washer and dryer in unit.

Fenced-in backyard and doggie door for friendly, well-behaved pets up to date on flea, tick & vaccinations. Please let us know if you will be bringing a pet, $30 pet fee per pet per night applies.

Getting around this residential neighborhood often involves walking, jogging, or biking to its local bars, cafes, and eateries renowned for their outdoor patios and intimate vibes. Hancock’s soothing atmosphere makes it seem far away from 6th Street’s noise, but jump on the interstate bordering this neighborhood and you’ll be Downtown before the band goes on break.

The home is a duplex and guests will have access to unit B with a shared backyard. A musician lives in unit A and has a music studio in the backyard which she may access during your stay. Free parking for both units is in the back of the home so you will see the owners of Unit A walking through the backyard to their unit.

We love that we can share our home with you but please treat the home, belongings, and property with care. We reserve the right to remove guests without refund for violating these house rules, misuse of the space as a short-term lodging accommodation, or conduct that disturbs the general peace and comfort of other guests, managers, property caretakers, and homeowners.

1. Parents/Guardians must closely supervise their toddlers and children at all times.

2. Well-behaved and well-trained pets may be permitted with prior approval from the host. An additional fee of $30.00USD per pet per night applies. Pets must be treated with flea & tick preventative and up to date on shots.

3. No Unregistered Guests. Please abide by occupancy limits. People other than those set forth above may not be on the property at any given time. Any person on the property is the sole responsibility of Guest. If there are more guests than disclosed in the Rental Party, Guest will be charged $50 per additional guest for each day of the reservation and all guests may be evicted without refund and a $250.00USD service fee.

4. The property is privately owned; the owners or property manager are not responsible for any accidents, injuries or illness that occurs while on the premises or its facilities.

5. The Homeowners, Bonhost LLC and its representatives are not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or valuables of the guest. By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that all guests are expressly assuming the risk of any harm arising from their use of the premises or others whom they invite to use the premise.

6. No illegal substances are to be used, sold, or distributed on the property.

7. No parties and/or loud music. Please respect the neighbors and their privacy. The property is equipped with a noise monitoring system. Excessive noise may result in termination of your stay without refund and a $250.00USD service fee.

8. Keep the property and all furnishings in good order. If any furniture is moved, please move it back to its original position upon checkout.

9. Smoking is allowed outside only. Please dispose of cigarette butts in the outdoor trash. You will be charged $500.00USD if we suspect smoking indoors and additional remediation expenses may be imposed.

10. Only use appliances for their intended uses.

11. Practice safety at all times.

12. Parking: Please refer to house manual for parking instructions. Any illegally parked cars are subject to towing; applicable fines/towing fees are the sole responsibility of the vehicle owner.

13. Housekeeping: Please keep the home tidy and follow checkout procedures. There is no daily housekeeping service. Daily maid service is not included in the rental rate. While linens and bath towels are included in the unit, we do not permit towels or linens to be taken from the Unit. Do not leave wet towels on the furniture.

14. Checkout is at 11:00AM. Late checkouts may be subject to a $50.00 per hour fee as we often have new guests arriving and schedule cleaners to arrive soon after 11:00AM.

15. Weather, Disease, Acts of God and Unforeseen Circumstances:
Bonhost, LLC is not liable for any inconveniences, delays, or Guests inability to access a unit as a result of any temporary or permanent issues which arise from weather, construction, road closures or conditions, natural disasters, reasons for travel including the cancelation of events or conferences, government orders, diseases, pandemics, viruses, illnesses, closings, pollution or other acts of God which are beyond Bonhost, LLC’s control. No refunds will be given for any inconveniences, delays or cancellations due to, but not limited to, aforementioned conditions. We encourage Guest to purchase a travel insurance policy that will allow you to cancel for any reason.

    We appreciated the cleanliness and how well stocked the kitchen was. The location is very close to the college campus and made getting there a breeze. Everything else was close by as well. We didn’t use the backyard at all other than getting to our vehicle but I can imagine it would be helpful for pets and nice to sit on if mosquitoes weren’t an issue. The alleyway that you park in was quite run down. If you enter from Montrose st the potholes are so large you might damage your vehicle so I highly suggest entering through Liberty st. The area where you park for the home is well kept but everything else surrounding it was overgrown and a bit run down looking, and just a bit of a shocker when you first pull in. Nevertheless we felt safe and the home is immaculate. There was one day where I tried to nap and was awoken by a bang at the door. By the time I made it to the door I could see a worker walking to the front and hear him say “no one is home we can go ahead” I felt a bit panicky that they were needing access to the house and I was in my pajamas half asleep so I reached out to the manager at the number and the VRBO messaging service and she responded that she would look into it but she never got back to me. The noise from the workers was up against my room and my window and what sounded like the roof. Needless to say my nap was over before it began. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay. It was nice that the kitchen had everything! We would recommend it.

    My son and I arrived late Thursday and checked out on Sunday. While we were there we spent a decent amount of time at the house and everything was in great shape.. The inside and outside were well kept and all the amenities we needed were there and everything worked well. We like the way the duplex has a front entrance for unit 1 and rear entrance for Unit 2 with separate yards for each.. Any way loved it and although we did not bring dogs we are considering another trip with one of our furry friends since the place is very well equipped for dogs. Also the location was super convenient to downtown and the Moody Center .

    This truly felt like home away from home. Every thing we needed was available, even little things we hadn’t thought about possibly needing. The home was very clean and exactly as the listing had described. We were in Austin to celebrate the graduation of our daughter from University of Texas Austin. As luck would have it her house is literally around the block. The nice patio area in the back was a delightful spot to gather as a family and enjoy our time together.

    Within walking distance of restaurants, coffee shops and thrift stores but, also, a quiet location. Loved the modern updates mixed with preserving some of the original touches. Bonuses were the large kitchen, fenced yard and how close we were to everything! (Literally listened to the Texas game from the backyard) One of the best equipped places we’ve ever stayed…Would definitely stay here again.

    We only stayed one night, but we greatly enjoyed it. It is very close to campus, but the street was quiet and peaceful. It was easy to park and the backyard was clean with good furniture. We brought a dog and the dog door plus the backyard made it great. We inly had two small nitpicks. First, we had to pay for damage insurance and a damage deposit, and I feel like it should be either/or. Second, the thermostat would keep resetting itself to 80 pr 85 degrees even in the middle of the night. Overall, we would stay again and It was great for our short visit

    My family and I recently stayed at this location. It is in a great area and within 15 min of groceries and must see hot spots. We also really enjoyed sitting on the patio for morning coffee. Our host was quick to respond to any questions we had. Unit B is clean and well stocked with anything you may need. We would definitely stay here again!
