Newly renovated!!! Waterfront home with private beach and boat access.

Beautiful views and beautiful area! The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed for our family Thanksgiving dinner! Lots of games to be played and dog friendly. TY so much for having us!

Beautiful location and home

Overall this was a nice stay, the property manager was very quick to respond at any time of the day. The only thing I will say and this is huge for me …. Is the cleaning…..I’m not sure if people don’t stay often or just the lack of the cleaners effort. There were spider webs going from the kitchen knives to the microwave/cabinets plus a few other places but the kitchen totally caught me off guard knowing that would be a popular place used. The upstairs bath tub I had to clean out myself before putting my kiddos in it, because it had black smudges in it. When cleaning up the upstairs bedroom we stayed I looked under the bed for anything we would’ve dropped or left behind and that had an item under it so that made me wonder did they clean the floors? The house overall was nice, great neighborhood, good communication and in great shape but cleanliness is a big thing for me.

Beautiful home and lake access! New renovations are impressive. Quiet neighborhood and very accommodating for families. Plenty of space both indoors and outdoors! Great for cooking, family game and movie time, neighborhood walks, and relaxing on the dock.

Loved the kitchen and adjacent rooms BR's etc. The stairs leading down to the dock was difficult to manage - 75 steps from top of stairs to the bottom

My family and I had a great stay at Gibbs Retreat. The house was perfect for our family, very spacious, comfortable, clean, and appeared to have lots of recent updates. The neighborhood was very nice , quiet and friendly folks. The view of the lake from the deck was quite impressive as well. Host was very responsive and helpful prior to and during our stay. We will definitely be returning to Smith Mountain lake again and if this house is avaliable we would certainly choose it.

We stayed for a week with our 22’ boat and had a wonderful time. The house is very spacious and comfortable. The renovated kitchen was stocked with every tool imaginable which made cooking for our family of 5 very convenient. The shady deck was lovely for eating al fresco or sitting with a good book. The view was outstanding. It was definitely worth the drive from NJ to meet our adult kids who came from NC and DC. We’ll definitely come again. Thanks Betty Ann & Lonnie!

Great house, great views! Better than we expected. An unfortunate plumbing issue prevented our stay, but the hosts were responsive and super helpful. We'll try again.

We had a great stay at this cabin! It’s been recently updated and was very clean and comfortable. There were plenty of beds—perfect for our group of seven plus a small dog. The two master bedrooms each had their own attached bathrooms, which was a big plus. The location is ideal, right on a beautiful part of Smith Lake. The boat dock was a highlight; we spent most of our time out on the water fishing and relaxing. There are quite a few steps down to the lake, but it was manageable and well worth it. We’d definitely recommend this place to anyone planning a trip to Smith Lake!

Great location on the lake with beautiful water views. The neighborhood is quiet and we enjoyed taking walks each day. Had a quiet and cozy Thanksgiving with family at the lake and plan to do it again! The hosts were amazing and very responsive and we had no issues during our stay. Looking forward to our next stay at Smith Mountain Lake!

We had a lovely weekend getaway. The house was clean and comfortable. The elevated view of the lake was lovely, and we really enjoyed the fire pit on the deck in the evenings. The house is on a quiet street and about a 15 minute drive to stores and restaurants, but it is nice to be away from any hustle and bustle!

This lake house proved to be a great place for our family to meet up. Very clean, and well equipped. A good location for spending time on & around Smith Mountain Lake.

Very nice property. Plenty of room for myself, my wife and our dog. Easy access by car and boat. Nice boathouse/dock will easily accommodate 3 boats. Will definitely consider a return trip.

Betty was very communicative, the house was clean and well layed out with a fantastic outdoor deck area!

We only used the upstairs of the house and it was great to have 3 bedrooms/2 bathrooms all on one floor. The owner was wonderful to work with and very prompt to answer our questions. The house has been nicely updated. It was clean, it was great for us !

Great neighborhood and home for family with children to visit. Nice water access, room for kids to hang out. Consider bringing a baby gate if you have an infant or toddler as steps down to walk out basement don’t have a door. Would absolutely go back.

The place is as seen online. The dock is great and the beach is a really nice plus. We booked it bc we thought we could be outside in evening/night as no quiet hours in the listing. This ended up being an issue for us. So, if you want to be able to be outside at night you should talk to host before booking. There are more rules than advertising online.

We had a wonderful stay. The layout of the house was perfect for a family with kids upstairs and two adults in the basement. Beautiful view of the lake from the spacious deck with lots of stairs (normal for this neighborhood) but not very steep. Had a small beach and dock that were a nice to have. The deck was gated in which was great to let the dogs out knowing they weren't going anywhere. Big spacious kitchen fully stocked with everything you need. Conveniently located. Not far from amenities. Neighborhood is very peaceful. Owner is very responsive to any questions/needs.

Nice place. Property manger is outstanding and responds to any concerns quickly. Property itself could use some upkeep, for example the trees should be cut back near the water. Had some ants to deal with, but a house in the woods near the water will have insects. Overall, nice place for an affordable price.
