Paradise, Michigan
This home was renovated in 2019 and now features all the modern amenities as well as a spectacular view! This property is open year round Great for family and snowmobiling! It is also able to be combined with "the shack" to be able to sleep 22!! Located 2 miles out of paradise, close to Tahquamenon falls, whitefish point and much more! Close to ATV trails, snowmobile trails, fishing etc
The property is clean and the actual home size is much larger than the pictures show. The only ding i would give it is that the grill is actually a griddle, so if you were expecting burgers on the grill, you adapted to learning how to griddle a burger.
We stayed here for a long weekend to visit family in the area. The house was nicely decorated and equipped with everything that you would need on a trip. Check in was very easy and the owner was responsive to our messages. It rained for the majority of our trip but we were able to witness a beautiful sunrise from the living room one morning. We also saw a few freighters in the Bay. We’d definitely stay again.
If you want a quiet, relaxing get away, you can find it at the lake house. The memory of sitting by the fire and gazing across Whitefish Bay is my new happy place. I highly recommend this rental.
Sweet little lake house right on the water was a perfect retreat for our family of 4. We loved watching the sunrise, and playing bags when we got home after a day of exploring the U.P. Would definitely stay again!
We stayed for 10 days at this great location. The house was wonderful, and the local contact connected several times to make sure everything was going all right. Kitchen was well-stocked (best we've seen!), and the house was super clean -- washer/dryer was great, and we really enjoyed the fire ring. Beds and pillows were comfortable, and we were surprised there was a thermostat (one night dropped into the 40s, so the furnace was a welcome surprise!). Only downside was that there was no storage option for our clothes aside from a few hangers in the closets -- nearly all of the drawer/shelf space in the bed room was taken up by extra linens and towels. I used the spare bedroom for my clothes, and husband kept his in his suitcase, which worked, but for 10 days was a little challenging. That aside, we'd definitely stay here again -- it was a much needed retreat for us. Thanks so much for a lovely time!
The lake house was perfect for our family of three & dog. A lot of thought was put into the amenities & decor. Great location proximal to Paradise, Whitefish Point, parks and inland lakes. We will return!
Perfect place to stay if you want to relax watching the lake views , beautiful, from the fire pit lounge chairs. The home is very comfortable inside if you have to stay inside. Only a couple miles from the town of Paradise with great restaurants and nice convenient stores. This home also makes a great starting point for all the popular site seeing locations. 1 1/2 hour drives and you can see a lot. We are coming back next year.
Our family had a generally pleasant stay at this rental. Although the home has been renovated, several of the areas seemed a little beat up and in need of some touch up attention. However, none of this impeded our enjoyment of the home. The unit was nicely furnished and comfortable. Plenty of games, ample seating and a well stocked kitchen. Bedrooms are small, but the bed in the front bedroom was comfortable. We enjoyed sitting at the fire pit and viewing the lake.
House was perfect for our family. It was clean and had everything we could need and then some. Perfect location to travel to various attractions. Saw the most AMAZING sunrise.
we had a great stay at this property. we found every thing to be very nice. we cooked in alot. lots of kitchen and cooking supplies. trails weren't far away and we found everything to be very nice
Wish we would have had more time!! The house is on a main road, but traffic is very light; didn't bother us at all. The house looks just like the pictures and has everything you need. Weather wasn't great on our visit so we were bummed we didn't get to use the firepit, but the sunrise made up for it. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be going back.
Easy check in. Inside & outside were clean. Gorgeous views of Canada and Lake Superior was right there in the backyard. Perfect spot for star gazing! Area was quiet and you could hear the lake and the waves.
Gorgeous views of Lake Superior!!! The home was nicely decorated and had all of the amenities we needed (washer, dryer, microwave, etc). There was generous amount of firewood provided...so nice not to have to run out and buy tiny $5 bundles! The local host was amazing...communicating with the actual property owner was way more difficult than it should have been. During our stay the renters next door had three dogs that constantly barked at us and came into our yard to use the bathroom, etc...this really took away from the relaxing part. The property owner said she did address this and doesn't condo e off leash dogs. But, the worst part was the smell. As soon as we checked in, there was a rotten underlying smell that we couldn't figure out, so we opened the windows and it seemed to resolve, however the bathroom just always smelled terrible, we thought it was just the water itself ...but by the last day, it became obvious that it was sewer smell. By the last day no one even wanted to shower. The host said it was resolved and in her defense, since we assumed it was just well water smell, we didn't reach out during our stay to address it. I only mention it in case another renter smells something, they need to call asap to get it resolved...it's likely not just the well water as we wrongly assumed. The local contact is excellent and I'm confident he will do everything to fix the issue!
We've stayed at this cabin before, so we knew what to expect. Still, it did not fail to please. The cabin is right on Lake Superior, with beautiful views. The cabin is clean, reasonably modern, bright and airy. Our only problem was a leaking icemaker, which we had to unplug. Other than that, it was a great time.
It was good. Could be cleaned and organized better
Fifteen minutes to Taquamenon Falls, one hour from the Soo Locks., ten minutes from the White Fish Point Ship wreck Museum; who could ask for more. But wait, there is more. Sunrise side of Whitefish bay, fire pit at night, Lake Superior lapping at the shore while you doze off in the evening. Incredible! Host/owner very eager to please.
The cottage was very nice and well equipped for our stay. Our only issue was the lack of quality lighting in the main areas. A few lamps would help for reading at night. I tried to put a puzzle together and my old eyes and limited overhead lighting just did not cut it. If you are coming for a longer stay, I would recommend buying groceries and bringing diverse foods with you, as one can only eat so much fried food. We did not realize the other parts of the property would be rented out separately, makes sense, but know that you might have others in the adjacent buildings.
My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! The cabin had everything we needed and then some. We loved waking up to the Lake Superior view and ending our day with s’mores at the fire pit. Super close to Tahquamenon Falls and Whitefish point and not too far from other places we visited like Munising Falls. Overall, 10/10 would recommend and our family will definitely be staying here again in the future!
