Newly Renovated Home near Kalahari Resorts

The check in progress was super efficient. The house was in a great location and very clean. Perfect for what we needed.

The house was a very nice place to lay our heads for sure! Everything was clean and as expected just as the description has told us it would be. Being six moms away for a convention we immediately assumed there had been some big trouble with other tenants with the amount of rules that had been given us beginning at the booking to double check the occupants because if not we would loose or be charged extra. There is a laundry list of DO NOTS that made it very hard to relax in fear we would loose the hefty deposit. Down to messaging the owner half way through the stay to make sure our bottoms with something we had noticed. The response of the owner was extremely timely and I hate to say anything negative. Like I said, we can only assume there were big problems with previous stays. Not my house not my rules. We abided and all was well but it came with extreme diligence on our part.

House was just right, location is great so the stay was good except the Internet was out all day everyday only working at night except the last day. It was it out all day. The Owner was responsive but unable to correct the issue.

4 nights with my wife and I visiting family in the area. The price seemed to fit the overall stay. The residence IMO is not worth a 4-star rating, but the host was responsive and had good communication with access. There is some work to be done if it to become comparable to other listings and I have passed on my suggestions to the host. I would stay again if they address some minor issues. Overall it served us well for the price.

Let’s start with getting charged for an additional person without that being listed in the property information. I was very clear about who was in my party & ended up with less people but got charged a fee I wasn’t told about. The property location is a little sketchy/undesirable. No trash bags, not even 1 to get started. The home smelled like cigarette smoke even though they have a strict no smoking policy. They advertise they provide coffee & tea but there wasn’t any to be found. The furniture is uncomfortable and not suitable for the amount of people they can accommodate. The floors are concrete & they have a strict “no shoes indoors” policy so bring socks or slippers. The house rules will also require that you vacuum or sweep before leaving even though you pay a cleaning fee. The beds are uncomfortable, the sheets thin, the pillows are awful. The washing machine isn’t leveled so it moves around the laundry room. The rule book is ridiculous, can’t move furniture around, no shoes, clean up, wash dishes, try to wash & dry towels (the list goes on) & to top it off, NO ESCORTS allowed! That was a little insulting. We contacted someone when we arrived about the smoke smell as we didn’t wish to get charged for the tenant before us breaking the rules. They offered to come out the next day & air it out but said we would have to vacate while they did it. Appreciated the offer but we were there visiting family who were coming over so we declined the offer. The rule book begs for a 5 star review, I also got an email saying I shouldn’t mention anything negative in my review & give 5 stars & that they would give me 5 stars in return! I don’t believe in bribery & I think that all reviews should be honest so that others can make informed decisions about where they choose to stay. Very disappointed in this property. I wouldn’t recommend it or choose it for future visits. I wish I had better things to say based on how much I paid to stay here, but again, I believe in honesty.
