Great location, near all of the local attractions. Very clean and well cared for property. We would definitely stay again. For those who mind, you are directly next to owners private home and neighbors on the other. Although it is rural, you are near others.

Our stay at The Olde Homestead made our fall trip to Acadia Valley perfect. It was ideally located to state parks and towns. The rooms were well furnished with everything that we needed. It was super clean and everything was in great shape. The bed and couches were comfortable and the kitchen and dining room served us well. The outside setting was nicely landscaped. Thanks to our hosts who communicated with lots of information. We would book again when we visit that area next time.

It was a perfect place for the family to visit. We had a wonderful host and my kids loved the visiting dog and watching the horse. The master bedroom is in the back of the house separated by a step that gives the bedroom more of an isolated feel from the rest of the house.

This property is the best, most beautiful one in the area, perfect spot for a short drive to all of the State Parks. The house is well equipped with all utensils, cookware & dishes, along with outdoor barbecue needs.Very peaceful, nice front deck and two large patios, plus a double garage with a ping pong table and outdoor games. The firepit made for a nice end to long outing in the daytime.This location is perfect for our 3 adult couples to experience Elephant Rock (right around the corner), Taum Sauk Mountain & Johnson shut in's too. You could spend a full day taking it all in. Afree of charge - Love it! s table together.

The house is nicely renovated and clean. There were plenty of towels and blankets and everything was comfortable and homey! We wish we would have had more time to play with the games in the garage! The neighborhood welcoming committee ( a tiny white dog named Sophie) was the sweetest. She greeted us as we got out of our car when we arrived. There's lots of space to relax inside and outside. The owners are very nice. If you're headed to Pilot Knob, this is a great home away from home!

We enjoyed the property very much. It was nice and cozy and conveniently located close to Elephant Rocks and Johnson Shut Ins. If we come back to the area, we would definitely stay at this property again. We were in town for a family girls trip and it suited us well.

Our family had such a great time at the olde homestead and we especially appreciated all of the extras like the Rec room in the garage, the fire pit, and the animals at the property. Our hosts treated us like the first guest they ever had, even after several years of hosting. The house was adorable and the proximity to the state parks was perfect! They have thought of everything and made us feel right at home!

The place was very clean and cute great location for visiting Elephant Rock, Johnson Shut in, Millstream gardens, many more things. House was as it shows the owners were very welcoming and informative. I would highly recommend the place it would sleep 6 very easy.

The house is well cared for, clean, comfortable, and the details of the house made us feel right at home! The location is also wonderful - so close to great hiking and views. This house was a great place for us to stay while we explored Elephant Rocks and Johnson's Shut-Ins. The house just the right size for my family and accommodated my young kids well. It was located within minutes of the beautiful parks, and we stumbled upon the Battle of Pilot Knob Historic Site, which the kids loved seeing. The host was responsive and kind. This rental was perfect for our trip!

I went there with 3 of my lifelong friends to ride Harley Davidsons through the Arcadia Valley. The Olde Homestead is a beautifully remodeled property in a great location. The house is clean & newly furnished with 3 nice bedrooms (king & 2 fulls) and 2 full bathrooms, living room, etc. 2 decks/patio and a garage let you spend time outside regardless of the weather. The area is great for sightseeing, and it was great for motorcycle riding and the property is perfectly located for both. Restuarant's are close, people in area, and the hosts were super helpful answering our questions. Just an outstanding experience that I highly recommend.
