The cabin is shabby and deficient compared to other cabins at this price point. The exterior paint is peeling off in large slabs, making the place look like a dump.Cabins we have rented at this price point provided reasonably well-appointed kitchens with decent cookware, stemware, ice cube trays and a dishwasher. This cabin provided disorganized piles of yard-sale crap, no stemware, no ice cube trays and no dishwasher.Cabins we have rented at this price point also provided laundry facilities with full-size detergent, fabric softener and dryer sheets. For our 2-week stay Vacasa provided one single-use packet of laundry detergent with instructions to use it to launder our bedding prior to checkout. The Wi-Fi signal was weak, with much buffering and loss of signal. The TV in the bedroom was not connected to Wi-Fi, rendering it useless.Vacasa's claim of seamless check-in is baloney. They stated they would send an email or text the day before check-in when they uploaded the lock box code and Wi-Fi access info. That never happened. The lock box code was eventually uploaded, but not the Wi-Fi info. I had to call customer support twice to get the correct info.

Loved the location of the house. The setting was perfectly private! 3 kayaks were wonderful, usually only 2. The house was our favorite living room setup! We found it very comfy and a place for all 5 of us to relax. Air conditioning works great! Typically most rentals will have some left over amenities from previous visitors; tin foil, spices, garbage bags…this did not. We were hoping to catch some fish, but this lake is so crystal clear we didn’t have luck. We did love swimming in the lake!!!! Thanks for a great stay

The first floor is nice and spacious. The upstairs is cramped - for sleeping only. The owner locked the thermostat which prevented me from turning on the air conditioning - it took many hours to resolve. Vacasa was helpful and prompt. There was a pathetic lack of glassware. The pier was not stable. There was only seating for six on backless stools around the kitchen table. Basic supplies like coffee filters and garbage bags was limited. I expected more for the cost.On the positive side, the deck was nice as was the looped driveway and ground access to the basement making fishing gear storage convenient. The location and lake was marvelous.

The lake and location is fabulous. The basement outside access was great for storing fishing gear. The looped drive was great for both multiple cars as well as maneuvering the boat. The generator came in handy the last night into Saturday departure. Property has issues. I would not recommend it.

Nice place. Would stay again. Only issue was that the driveway was blocked with a tree when we arrived. We couldn't get into the property without moving/cutting up the down tree.

Wonderful property with all the amenities. View is amazing, lake is crystal clear, beds are comfortable and the living space is large. Nice big area to park vehicles with a turn around for boat trailers. Would definitely recommend, we have been coming here 2 years in a row planning on a 3rd reservation.

Without a doubt the view and the deck were the highlight. A few too many steps but worth the climb.

The upstairs porch and lawn fire pit overlooking the lake are the best parts of this home. The sunrises are gorgeous!

Took the family for a peaceful vacation to spend time together. We enjoyed the views and the fire pit held a nice fire every night. The house is as pictured and was comfortable. The kayak’s were a bonus and the kids enjoyed them. Would stay again. It was a little drive to get anywhere but it was a beautiful drive and we visited several lakes and even went to Lake Superior. What a beautiful area! We wanted seclusion so having a 15-20 minute drive was no big deal. We lioved the Up North atmosphere.

Every year (since 1989), my college buddies and I get together for fishing, friendship and fires. We need a place that can accommodate 6-8 adult men, with several loud snorers needing their own room. This place was prefect for that. As fisherman, we had three boats and the dock was able to fit all three comfortably. Note, when launching use the northern launch in the park on bay View road. It is paved. The southern launch that is close by, is not and does not have a lot of room to leave a vehicle and trailer (room for 2 or 3). The kitchen had everything we needed to cook. Probably need more living room recliners...only two and they were popular with our group. Bed were comfortable enough. Outdoors...the firepit was nice and large. There is only a charcoal grill, but we made it work. We will be back.

The layout of the house was great for a larger group. The kitchen was adequately supplied for cooking. The decor is very nice with a definite Northwoods feel. Beds were comfortable. The deck was great. The entrance to the basement was great and had great storage for fishing gear. If we come back to the area, we would stay here again.
