This quiet neighborhood lies in the suburbs of Santa Rosa, in California's Wine Country. In fact, the nearest winery is no more than a four-minute drive. Getting around
The property has parking for two cars (one in the driveway, one the garage). Highway 101 is just over 2 miles away and will take you South to San Francisco in about an hour and 20 minutes. Running along most of the same route is the Sonoma Marin Area Rail Transit (SMART) which departs from Sonoma County Airport but currently only reaches down to San Rafael. There is also no shortage of local wine tour operators to choose from if you don't want to drive.
Please note:
Surveillance or recording devices on property - The house has Nest video doorbell (outside only)
As described. Quiet and pleasant.
Very roomy, lots of open space, peaceful neighborhood, many supplies provided for stay
The house is centrally located. We were 30-40 minutes from all of our activities to the east and west. The host is quick to respond to any communications. Only downfalls were not being able to use the t.v. remotes, looking for extra toilet paper in the garage, and rips in the fitted sheets on the bed in the master.
Could have had more furniture. Some dishes dirty in cubbord.
What a great visit! Sonoma and Napa can be quite expensive to stay in, but I love Santa Rosa, Sebastopol and Healdsburg, all so very close to this stay. The home itself is just like the photos, clean and simple, and the neighborhood is quiet. I even waved to a few friendly neighbors during our stay. It has all the necessities needed for an easy stay, although we didn't cook much and spent more time out and about. All in all, it was a great value and location, hope to stay again in the future!
Overall rated fair.
The house is fine. Large with new interior features, clean and spacious. My impression was that the landlord or owner manages it from a distance. It is advertised to hold 4 people, if i remember correctly. Actually the bedrooms would accommodate 6. But there is only seating for 2 or three in front of the TV. The kitchen is lacking in things necessary for cooking. Measuring cups and spoons, spatulas, hot pads, and dish clothes and towels and can opener. There are all the necessary kitchen appliances. The automatic locking system on the front door is set for a few seconds after it is opened, so be sure to flip the the deadbolt to hold it ajar while you attempt to unload your car. Otherwise you will be locked out, and if your phone is in the house, have no access to the code or a way to call anyone. This happened to me. Fortunately my son lived nearby, I had given him the code in case he got to the house with my other son while I was at the store. All in all, the house was fine. I would consider staying again because the location is conveniently near my family. However I would not give this property a five star rating with out some further attention to the details that make a stay enjoyable.
Very good communication with owner. Newly remodeled
The weekend was for a Girls' Weekend (50 and over). The place was very good value for the accomodations. The owner was communicative and responsive during our stay. It's perfect for a low key, no frill vacation. It has a BBQ and setting area on patio. Neighborhood is very busy as it's in a very active family neighborhood. Thus, be kind to neighbors and don't plan to throw a party or be loud. Great for a family with children or as we did a girls' weekend.
The place was clean and comfortable. Sleeping for 8 but living room seating is comfortable for 2-3 only. Place needs another couch or living room chairs.
