Brand-new construction on an oversized, leafy green lot combines with an unbeatable location just minutes from MacKerricher State Park and the ocean to create the perfect Fort Bragg getaway. And the spectacular Mendocino coastline, with its plentiful cliffside trails and beaches, is an easy car-ride away.
At home, you’ll enjoy coffee or a cocktail on the quiet deck while the kids and family dog play in the large, grassy yard. Inside, you’ll find a bright, new living space. The open concept means everyone can gather together, and the high ceilings, new furnishings, and soothing color palate enhance that vacation vibe. The chef will love the well-equipped kitchen, outfitted with a full suite of stainless steel appliances and thoughtfully stocked with essentials like spices and cooking oil. Dine together at the table for eight before heading out.
At the end of a day exploring, fire up the gas grill at home for an evening cookout. Stream your favorite movies in the loft upstairs, play a friendly game of ping-pong, or grab a board game for some more together time. Call it a night in one of two comfortable bedrooms, but not before toasting your good luck at booking such a charming coastal escape.

Home sits in a vey quiet neighberhood close to town.
Second time staying at this wonderful house. Close to everything in a quiet, lovely neighborhood. Saw a fox, deer and grey squirrels each day. Love that we could bring our dog, The Third Amigo. Highly recommend this well cared for property.
I’m smitten with this rental. It’s very clean, well appointed, modern, and perfectly located. I love the bird feeder and picnic bench in the yard, and the proximity to the coastal trail/state park across the road. Surprisingly fast WiFi.
Great location with quite neighborhood close to town. Really had a nice stay only hang up for us was if you bring your dog they can not go upstairs. Upstairs is where the mastered (King) and TV room is so we were not going to leave our dog downstairs all alone.
Quiet neighborhood, great place if you have pets
My husband, our Shepsky and I loved the Tidepool Retreat. It was quiet, clean, spacious and perfect for a vacation.
Appeared nearly brand new. Big bedrooms. Sofa slept another two (fairly) comfortably. Pet-friendly with good first floor setup for those staying with a dog. Private location walkable to the coast / state park and nearby to towns, hikes and other sights. House was clean and had everything we needed. Good communication on check-in / out. Only thing that didn’t cooperate was the weather! Would recommend to a friend.
We loved the location, the cleanliness, and the value of this home for our stay in Ft. Bragg.
We celebrated our 12th birthday here (twins) - we loved the beaches, CV Starr center, ping pong and the big TV for movies! We like the pictures up in the house!
The home was perfect for our weekend getaway! We loved the spacious kitchen and the high ceilings. Everything was clean and comfortable. The short walk to MacKerricher State Park was beautiful. We spent the morning at the tidepools, watching whales, and breathing the cool ocean air. We hope to return to this cozy house, and maybe the next time we'll bring our kids!
After a long drive through the winding roads of Northern California, greeted by the overstretching arms of the redwoods, you will find yourself welcomed by this quaint and adorable home. One could only begin to describe this beautiful abode as homely and a space where minds go to be cleared after a long month of work. Alternatively, this is a place where you can find yourself reenergized by the fresh air, the soothing tumble of the ocean tide, and the vitality of nature surrounding you. Through this stay, you will find yourself refreshed and leaving anew ready to tackle the world ahead of you.
Brand-new with open floor plan, cabin feel, spacious and Homey ~ fun games including cornhole and ping-pong. Close to the beach and tide pools, redwoods, skunk Train… and many other activities. Could not recommend more!
We stayed here with a little group and absolutely loved it! So close to the town of fort Bragg and not too far from Mendocino. The house felt so homey! The house is very updated! Kitchen has a lot of appliances! The game room has a pool table, a few board games and some puzzles. We didn’t want to leave the house. It felt so cozy! The rooms are spacious. We loved our stay! Definitely would stay here again!
Clean, roomy and well stocked kitchen. Literally across the street from the state park so you don't have to drive to the beach. About a 3.5 mile walk along the beach to town. Only down side is there is no outdoor area to hang out. I mean there is the front porch, but that faces the street. It would be nice if there was some kind of picnic table or the like in the back yard. Also would be nice if it had some kind of fenced area for dogs. Its a dogs allowed home, but nowhere for the pooch to run around - unless your dog doesn't like to chase squirrels, other dogs, cats, lizards, or deer (and if your's doesn't please give me the name of your dog's trainer). I gave it 5 stars though because, unless those two points are critical to you, the house is fine. Also we had FANTASTIC help from Vacasa when the low battery signal started going off on the smoke alarm - Kat @ Vacasa got Mike out there right away and not only did he fix the situation, he also was kind enough to entertain our questions about the area and give great advice on where to go. Will rent from Vacasa again.
Tidepool retreat was a lovely place to come home to each day after exploring the Mendocino Coast. The house was clean, comfortable and inviting.
We loved the high ceilings to let light in. Quality furnishings and well laid out floor plan. Perfect for our family.
The house was so clean and the layout is beautiful and relaxing. The open kitchen/lounge is great for relaxing and chatting while preparing dinner and cocktails! The distance to MacKerricher makes an enjoyable short hike to access beaches, tidepools and wildlife. Enjoyed running along the haul road in the morning to Pudding Creek trestle bridge. Also worth checking out the Skunk Train rail bikes - especially if you are local to Mendocino, Humboldt or Lake County (discount).
We had a fabulous stay at the Tidepool Retreat. The layout of the house was ideal for a relaxed family vacation. The kitchen had all the necessities + some luxuries (fabulous toaster, electric kettle, cute wine glasses, sharp knives). The town of Fort Bragg was cute with lots of shops and character. The nearby beach and running/walking trails were amazing with FREE parking/entry. For sure go to Harvest Market (check out the orphan cheeses) and try the sea food in Noyo Harbor ... where there is also a nice dog friendly beach. 100 starts!
My family really enjoyed the stay there. The house’s got all the essential we need and is in a convenient location for a family weekend getaway. The beaches along the coast are all beautiful. We definitely had a great time there.
Our family thoroughly enjoyed our short stay at the Tidepool Retreat! The house is in immaculate condition and kitchen is well stocked. Right next to the beach and close to downtown, super convenient. Only problem was smoke alarm was out of battery and started going off in the middle of the night on our last day.
This house was very clean and the layout was great! Perfect location in great neighborhood that was close to beaches and a short drive into town. Thank You for offering this beautiful home. It is surely being well cared for!
