Wake up on a Venice walk street, in a 1907 Craftsman where the back gate opens onto the path down to the sand. The entire second floor is yours, a king bed under vaulted ceilings, a private balcony for morning coffee, and a projector and Sonos sound for the end of the night. Downstairs, a kitchen worth cooking in, a table for six, and a fenced yard with a fire pit, a grill, and string lights overhead. The beach and the bike path are at the end of the block.

A 1907 Craftsman on one of the Venice walk streets, the narrow pedestrian lanes that run toward the ocean with no cars on them. Open the gate at the back of the yard and the sand is a few minutes away on foot. Inside, the house has kept what makes these homes worth staying in, transom windows, wide plank old growth floors, high ceilings, and light that moves through the rooms all day.

The yard is where most of a stay here happens. It is fenced and private, with a turf and stone patio, a fire pit, a gas grill, string lights overhead, and a hanging basket chair that somebody will claim on the first afternoon. The screened sunroom off the living room keeps the doors open between inside and out, so dinner drifts from the table to the fire without anyone deciding to move.

The kitchen is built for real cooking rather than reheating, with a gas range and oven, a French door refrigerator, a dishwasher, and long counters with an island to work from. Coffee, an electric kettle, a toaster, and a large toaster oven are all waiting, so the first morning asks nothing of you. Barstools at the sunroom bar give everyone somewhere to sit while one person cooks, the dining table seats six, and the living room is a few steps away with couches turned toward the television and a quiet reading nook off to the side.

Upstairs is yours alone. The entire second floor is the primary suite, a king bed under vaulted ceilings, a coffee and reading nook at the top of the stairs, a desk in its own alcove, and a private balcony with an umbrella and chairs for the first hour of the morning. At night it becomes a theater, a projector above the headboard, an automatic screen that drops at the touch of a button, and full Sonos surround sound. The bathroom has double sinks, a soaking tub, and a filtered showerhead, and the walk in closet means nobody lives out of a suitcase.

The two bedrooms downstairs sit well away from the primary, each with a full bed and closet space, sharing a full bathroom a few steps from both doors. The smaller one doubles easily as a quiet place to work. Laundry is tucked into a half bath off the entry, which keeps it out of the way of everything else.

Three bedrooms, two and a half baths, roughly 1,900 square feet, and parking of your own at the rear. Cook, eat outside, walk to the water, come back with sand on your feet.

Guests will have access to the entire home and the fenced yard. There will be no one else on the property unless otherwise discussed with you in advance.

The house sits on one of the Venice walk streets, the narrow pedestrian lanes that run toward the ocean with no cars on them. It is one of the quieter ways to be this close to the water, and the walk from the back gate to the sand takes a couple of minutes.

Ocean Front Walk and the beach bike path are at the end of the street, along with a well known local surf break. The Venice Fishing Pier and the Venice Canals are both nearby, and the loop around the canals is one of the better walks in Los Angeles at either end of the day. Washington Boulevard is close for restaurants, coffee, and groceries, and Abbot Kinney Boulevard, with its shops, galleries, and restaurants, is a short bike ride or a longer walk.

Marina del Rey is just south, Santa Monica is a few minutes up the coast, and LAX is roughly 15 to 20 minutes away by car.

This is a tightly knit residential neighborhood of full time neighbors. We ask guests to keep noise down after dark and treat the walk street as the shared front yard it is.

Most people choose to have a car when visiting Southern California. There are an abundant amount of unique and significant attractions within two hours of this home. If you`re an explorer, we recommend a car.

That said, this part of Venice is highly walkable and very bikeable, which is one of our favorite things about the area. The beach, the bike path, Washington Boulevard, and Abbot Kinney are all reachable on foot or by a short ride. Uber and Lyft are readily available throughout the area.

Maximum stay at this home is 28 nights.

Dogs are welcome with a $300 pet fee per stay. We are not able to accommodate cats. Service and assistance animals are exempt from this fee.

There are exterior security cameras on the property covering the outdoor approaches only. There are no cameras or recording devices of any kind inside the home.

Wavecrest Ave is a pedestrian walk street. Drive to Wavecrest Court at the rear of the home for parking and entry. The area is actively enforced for towing, so please use the home`s designated spaces.

There is a 10 day grace period to return any items taken from the home at check out. Replacement costs will be charged to guests if items are not received within 10 days of check out.

Please note that this is a smoke free property. Any violation of the no smoking policy will result in a minimum $250 fine.

Utility Usage: Utilities are included up to the property`s recent average usage. Any excessive use above that amount may result in additional charges. If applicable, payment for utility overages is due within 14 days of check out.

- Damages and/or failure to pick up after your pet may result in additional charges at check-out. Pets and animals are not permitted at the property at any time whatsoever unless otherwise agreed upon in writing prior to booking. Failure to comply with this will result in an additional charge of up to $1000 and/or eviction without limiting any other legal or equitable remedies available to Owner and/or Company.

- For any items left behind after check-out, guests will be charged the shipping costs and an additional service fee of $25.

- A minimum of $25 will be charged per lost or unreturned keys, fobs, or access cards. Please ensure they are returned before check-out.

- Please note that this is a non-smoking property. Any violation of the no-smoking policy will result in a $250 fine.

- Quiet hours are from 10 PM to 8 AM. Please be mindful of the noise level during these hours to respect neighbors and others in the area.

- Guests are responsible for any damage to the property or its contents during their stay. Any damages must be reported immediately to the host to ensure proper documentation.

- Please dispose of all trash in the designated bins provided. If the trash bins are full, please notify the host for further instructions.

- Any unregistered guests are not allowed to stay overnight without prior written approval from the host. Additional guests may result in an additional charge.
