***All pictures show current constant water levels***.
The water levels were lowered to fix the dam, but water is still around 6-9 feet around the dock and there is a 4 ft wide ladder to get in and out of the water safely. **** Home does sleep up to 10, but pricing is based on number of Guest and there may be an extra guest fee for over six people***
I have a mold allergy. When we arrived the entire house had been heavily sprayed with Febreze. We realized it had a mold problem as the Febreze wore off at 10 PM. We immediately asked for a refund on the rest of our stay, which we received. I have no idea how this very old property has the high rating it does. Many of the lights don't work. The only bedroom closet is locked and there is no dresser in that room. The other two bedrooms have some metal shelving with a rod for hanging clothes. The master doesn't have a bathroom. You have to go down a hall, go through the front entry and through the bunk room to get to the bathroom. Towels are old, thin and mismatched. This property is very sub par compared to every other VRBO we have rented.
We had a great time!!!! The water was beautiful and the kayaks were so much fun to travel around and explore. House was beautiful. I’m ready to rent again.
The property was nice it does need some up keep. The inside of the house was nice but the outside we had to clean up and they need new outside furniture. Over all we had a nice time.
Everything was excellent! Property was very clean and comfortable. Accommodations were amazing. We enjoyed our stay greatly! Perfect.
Awesome view from the back porch. We really enjoyed our little family get away.
Everything was very nice.
Property is very nice, layout is a little quirky but we made it work. Rooms for improvement, 1. Kitchen knives, 2. metal bunk beds are always terrible (have you ever slept on one) 3. Coffee maker super slow 4. Consider water filtration or bottled water cooler (these are always great at any rental) 5. Birds roosting over front entrance created a constant mess. 6. Fireplace did not seem to draw smoke you and out so we give up. What we loved; 1. Master bed was comfy 2. Decor suites location, 3. View and fire pit 4. Location
Great property on the river!
Every year a group of us go to the Guadalupe. This year was AWESOME! We had 10 adults and we fit really well in this house. Although the kitchen and living room aren't *HUGE*, they are quite ample in size and the extra large deck off the kitchen definitely made it all seem bigger. The non-room front entry way worked out great for two of our adult guys who slept on the day bed and trundle. The only slight issue was not understanding that the bunk room is actually off of the master (in the hallway between the master and the master bath, but only accessible through the master or through the garage). It wasn't quite as private as we had hoped in the master bedroom. The AC worked great, which is a huge issue for us in river houses, except it was slightly warm in the bunk room and master bedroom. The lake is really deep right off the dock and we floated in the river every day. We loved the area, especially how close it is to Wal-Mart, but still feels like you're in the middle of nowhere.. Overall, wonderful house! Would definitely rent again!
This was a wonderful home and the 7 of us - 4 children and 3 adults really had a good time. The kayaks and all the river toys were very special. We could not have enjoyed it more. This was our 2nd VRB experience and we have been very happy with both.
