Great place for a large family, lots of room and great kitchen for whole family to gather and cook. The kids (& honestly adults) loved the theater room in the evenings to watch movies--but we spent most of our time outdoors during the day. Close enough to town to get groceries but far enough away, felt like a real vacation. Will say--definitely need 4-wheel drive in the winter but was already told this. The cookware in the kitchen needs some updating, but we did bring some of our own stuff so not an issue--overall, highly recommend this place especially for a family of various age range.
This house was a perfect property for our family to meet and celebrate Christmas. There was plenty of room for everyone and the theatre room and game room was a bonus!!!
We had a great time and stay. We over looked the following but would recommend that there are baby gates for stairs. The property needs a detailed deep clean from Floor to Ceiling. Disappointing when you pay someone to clean and it is not done to represent what you are renting to guest. Light fixtures with bugs and very dusty with cob webs on lots of things. Most of the dishes in cabinets were dirty and had to be washed prior to using. Other peoples food being left behind in fridge and pantry is not something I want to use. We had to items requested for repair and neither of them worked after maintenance came. We always use Vrbo for home vacations but this is the first time a home did not represent the brand. The home is beautiful and the view is great just needs some TLC in details.
This was listed as a premium location but had numerous flaws. It hadn’t snowed in days before our arrival and all streets and other neighbor driveways were clear however even with our 4 wheel drive vehicles we were unable to get up the driveway due to the property owner not plowing due to a previous snow. When we called they came the next morning but in the mean time that night we walked up the hill. We stayed there on Dec 15th and there were still pumpkin and fall decorations everywhere. A tree was put together but backwards. The master shower head leaked and the only tv on the first floor did not work. Both of these items were not able to be fixed during our stay. The bunk bed was missing a bolt that was corrected the second day. The game room had no heat and the games were outdated. The movie room projector was loose and dangling. The property manager was annoyed and inconvenienced to have to be taking care of the problems. There was dust everywhere and it did not appear to have been cleaned in awhile. The deck and steps to the hot tub were icy and the property manager said he hadn’t had time to come over and take care of it and the sun would melt it on our first day there. The downstairs dryer did not work. Very disappointing stay.
This was truly a gem of a property to get away from it all (but within a quick drive from the city/airport). Even though the photos on the listing are beautiful, don't believe them. The actual house is even more gorgeous! So many beautiful details and loads of space for five families. We could've comfortably fit even more people if needed! The host was very responsive and informative from booking through check out. Couldn't have asked for a better place for a reunion - would absolutely stay there again!
The property is clean, large and fun. Everything that's needed was provided and the theater is a nice touch. The kids loved playing in the garage and adults enjoyed some darts. We saw Fox and deer and had fun going up to the playground and taking a small hike up the mountain side to see the views. The main space works really well for gathering and kids playing. Everyone said they would rent this home again!
House is massive and very private. Some of the sleeping arrangements and layout are a bit strange- it really only has 4 private bedrooms and 3 baths. Rest of group is sleeping in public areas and on various futons, pull outs, etc. The decks front and back are amazing and a real strength of the house, as is the master, the kitchen layout (though it is missing some basic items to be able to cook for a group with), and the movie theater room. No AC! Which is common in Colorado, but the listing said heating + cooling. Thermostats only heat and it gets to about 80 degrees upstairs in the CO summer. For a house this price, owner should consider some window AC units upstairs and in the master. Wifi is also very weak, it will drop your device(s) constantly which makes staying connected or doing any work difficult because there is little to no cell service. Hot tub instructions also didn’t make sense, and manager replies with very few words but did figure it out for us and the tub was very hot and nice. Manager also emailed check in could be at 2pm but cleaners didn’t finish until 5pm so a small hiccup there where we were waiting around Surrounding area is beautiful and tranquil, plenty of parking at the house. Overall it worked for my group but isn’t quite as nice of a house as advertised and could be updated inside or have more accurate disclosures in the listing in some areas. 4/5 stars
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We had family coming from both coasts and a wide age range staying with us. The kids really enjoyed the theater room, the hot tub and the game room/toy set up downstairs. The views were phenomenal, the beds were so comfortable and the home was incredibly clean. We feel lucky to have had the chance to stay here.
The views are stunning and the amenities of the house are endless. Plenty of room for 16 adults. Theatre room was great.
The property is beautiful, upscale and spacious. Not very far from major cities.
Stunning views, cozy feel even though the house was massive. Will book again
beautiful property and manager very responsive but if there is snow on the ground, you need a 4-wheel drive to get up drive. Secluded and lovely, but make sure you have the right car
