The Space:

There's a moment, usually with a coffee on the patio the first morning, when the pace of the city just falls away. That's what this home does. The lower unit at Hidalgo is a bright, airy one-bedroom with a floor plan that opens straight out to a private entertainment patio and garden — the kind of seamless indoor-outdoor flow that makes a small home feel like a retreat. Mid-century bones, thoughtful finishes, and a real sense of seclusion behind a gated drive.



The garden is the whole point. It's yours alone: a 5-person hot tub for the evenings and space to eat outside or just do nothing. There's a shared outdoor gym and yoga mats by the garage if you want to keep your routine, and inside you've got everything for a longer, work-from-anywhere stay — full kitchen, fast wifi, washer/dryer, a smart TV loaded with streaming, and a record player for slow mornings.

This is the lower home of a private two-unit duplex: the garden and hot tub are yours alone, while the gated driveway/parking, the outdoor gym and the portable BBQ are shared with the upstairs home. The fire pit is on the upstairs deck and belongs to the upper home.

Whole Foods and the neighborhood shops are a quick hop, and the Reservoir loop is right there when you want to move.

Guest Access:

The lower unit and its private garden are all yours. Self check-in with a lockbox at your door — the code is in your check-in details, so you can arrive on your own time. I'm only a message away the whole stay.



The Neighborhood:

You're in the Silver Lake hills above the Reservoir — one of LA's most walkable, most-loved eastside neighborhoods. Coffee, wine, great food, and the Reservoir loop are all close, with Los Feliz, Frogtown, and Glassell Park just minutes out.



Getting Around:

A gated driveway keeps things private, with street parking on the block and an EV charger in the back drive if you're in a Tesla or EV. Rideshare is quick and plentiful, and Downtown, Los Feliz, and Hollywood are all short drives.



Other Things to Note:

No parties or events. Disruptive late-night noise counts as a party; quiet hours are 10pm–8am out of respect for the neighbors. Noise complaints or a police visit = fine and possible eviction.

No smoking or vaping anywhere on the property, indoors or in the garden.

Pets considered case-by-case — just ask before booking.

The hot tub is included and is used at your own risk: maximum 5 people, children supervised at all times, no glass, and please don't tamper with the controls, chemicals or equipment. Full hot tub rules are in the house manual.

The outdoor gym is shared and used at your own risk.

For safety, there are exterior security cameras (entry/exterior only, no interior and no audio), as disclosed.

Minimum age to book is 21.
