The location was fantastic- one of our favorite neighborhoods to stay in when visiting Bend. The house is unique and quirky and we enjoyed the character. Small details like dusty blinds in the bedrooms, a dead plant in the kitchen, and a barely functioning coffee pot could be improved on. Overall, we liked the space and multi-level living, having a garage to store gear was great, and we rode and walked everywhere.

We had a very comfortable time at this home. The kitchen was great to cook in, the beds were comfortable, and the water was plenty hot enough.I have just 2 recommendations: the main shower floor gets very slippery and it would be nice to have a shower mat available just for safety reasons. I think the online listing should talk about the amount of stairs to access the home (inside and out), especially for elderly visitors or people who have some mobility issues.Other than that, the home was great and we really enjoyed the location.

We had a great stay at this fun home. We were just a few minutes away from everything that Bend has to offer, it seemed, and the home itself was comfortable and very clean. Nice views from the decks.

Good location and plenty of room to spread out. Home was a bit stuffy when we arrived but with the air cleaners and windows it aired out quick. Great deck hang out space.

Elmwood Place aka “The Fun House” was a good place to stay for my 2 friends and me. Beds were comfortable, and the house was clean and roomy. We enjoyed a little ping pong, and liked getting to watch the deer graze the hill behind the house. We especially enjoyed the big windows in the third story living room that let us watch weather come in and even a little April snow. Be prepared for a steep driveway and then a flight of stairs to get to the entrance, and then another flight of stairs to get to the kitchen. Also, I was disappointed that I could not really see the river from the house. “Peekaboo” views really means that if you are actively looking for it, you can catch a tiny, tiny glimpse of river through the trees in one or two places on the property. Overall, it was a good stay. :)

Such a fun house, close to restaurants, running trail and the river. Yes, lots of steps, but we only felt them after hikes and runs :)

Driveway could be a problem if snowy and icy! Could use additional tv in living room. Ok layout, a little funky, but worked. Not great wslkibility.

The driveway is very very difficult to maneuver! If there was lots of snow and ice it would be dangerous. For walking up and down and driving! There are no tissues in the house. Having to use toilet paper to blow your nose seems silly. Garage was not working well or at all most of the trip. Also, there should be a tv upstairs on the kitchen level. That’s where people gather and hang out.

Great communication with host. Home was clean. Well stocked with games. The ping pong table was a great feature. The pellet and the gas stoves in the two living spaces were wonderful. Home was toasty warm. Four stars only due to lack of power in the far end of the upstairs living room, making the space dark and unable to access the stereo system. Additionally, the reverse layout of the home, with the main living upstairs and two bedrooms downstairs made it noisy for downstairs guests sleeping later.

The house is so cool we referred to it as the Fun House during our stay. The kitchen was stocked so well that we pulled Thanksgiving off without a hitch. House is in a great location to walk to the river and Old Mill area.

it is a great house for a group and we enjoyed it very much. couple of suggestions. we arrived after dark and all the lights IN the house were on BUT the outside ones were not and it was tough navigating the walk way and stairs in darkness out side not knowing where it went. we did use cell phone lights a little to help. we were very surprised there was no mention of the amount of stairs. was a little tough as our group were all over 70 but we did manage. we did need fans as there was only one in the house and the air had not been turned on and after a hot humid day it was very warn upstairs and in the bedrooms. we were short some linen supplies for a group of 6 BUT when we called the office they took care of all our needs quickly. a little nitpicking yes but all in all we enjoyed it a lot. funny story on the driveway. we had a van and drove up the hill. we parked and opened the tailgate to take out the luggage. as we were doing it one piece slid out and landed on it wheels and headed down the driveway. went at a pretty good clip but a big flower bush stopped it before going into the ditch. we were joking it was like watching a cheap netflix movie, good times

The location was great and the management company was friendly and super helpful! There are ALOT of stairs. Three flights of long stairs from the driveway to the kitchen. We had two toddlers and my parents who are in their 60s/70s and the stairs were hard. The house was clean but funky with lots of trinketsWe floated the river a lot - there’s a great entry point that’s a five minute walk from the house and we’d leave a car at the bottom of the float. Very fun!

Ping-pong, fire pit, outdoor grill, beautiful scenery, and comfy, surroundingsake for a great stay. Location generally good, but closer to the amenities would be a bit better. Some nitpicking things. The beautiful stoneware was difficult to reach on the high shelf.(heavy) and the kitchen lighting was difficult to find and not quite enough. Those are small items, thought you might want to know, would have no problem recommending this place or staying here again.
