place worked out great for our NYE getaway. both our college-aged kids and our furry babies had a great time. hot tub was nice, kitchen was decently appointed. having the ability to do laundry was nice as well. only drawback was the jerk who owned the place at the end of the beach access road - tried to tell us it was a private drive and that we needed to go to the pier to get on the beach. we loved the vintage beach vibe of both this house and Rodanthe. we've stayed in the OBX over 20 times but never this far south - but it worked out GREAT and we loved the fact that nothing was ever crowded and we'd often have the entire beach to ourselves. we'd definitely come back!!

This was our second stay and we love this house! Great layout for family and kids can spread out. It really feels like a home. Plenty of things in the kitchen if you cook like we do! Love the short walk to the beach. Nice and quiet. Will rent again!

Clean and spacious and perfect for a family getaway! Access to the beach was difficult, but we stayed mid Oct during a Nor Easter! Never got to walk the beach, but the hot tub made up for it! Will be back!!! Thank you to the property owners for quick communication during our unique experience and for being so accommodating at addressing our concerns about the weather!

Nice house and area. Convenient to beach and pier. Secluded and peaceful for us and pets.

Everything was really nice except for the fact that you couldn't adjust the temperature of the house. It was locked and we stayed pretty chilly while we were inside. We walked around with sweatshirts and sweatpants to try to stay comfortable. If I could change anything that would be it but overall a nice place to stay. Do not use the VRBO feature to get directions put the address in the GPS

Clean beautiful 3 floor 3 bathroom four bedroom,1 four bunk bottom level bedroom with on suite bathroom great for noisy kids lol not far from beach very private location and private beach. Friendly owner again house is gorgeous. Neighbor across the driveway can be rude if you have kids, fun or, a dog while on vacation!,God forbid you enjoy yourself! other then that nothing wrong with the house or location.

Exactly as listed. Well equipped kitchen. Plenty of outdoor space, large hot tub and easy access to beach. Definitely will stay again.

We loved our stay. It was especially wonderful to be able to have our dogs. Our group ranged from 77 to 6 years old. Everyone has plenty of space. We would love to visit again during spring or summer.

The house was as advertised. It’s in a great location and it was an easy walk to the beach. The house has a great deal of privacy and the two decks make excellent places to get outside and enjoy the views. You can see the ocean from the top deck as well as the sound. If you’re looking for a location to get away from the crowds further up north and enjoy the nature, This is an excellent choice.

Loved the house. Loved the proximity to the beach. Loved the beach supplies. Loved the hot tub. Did not love the mosquitoes, but that can't be helped. Wish linens were supplied as our trunk was packed with linens and we didn't have room for other things we would like to have brought. Other places have supplied a bag of linens that we put on the beds. All in all though, it was a great stay. Thank you!

Nice for families

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The property was as listed, and pictures are accurate. It’s very close to the ocean, a short walk up a private drive, and the beach is private so it’s not overcrowded at all which was awesome. We had a clogged drain and the property owners had someone at the house in two hours flat. That was very appreciated. The only complaint I have is the place is in definite need of a deep cleaning and some fresh paint. Overall a great place to stay and a great price!

The property was as described. Some of the communications were unclear, blankets were provided so we didn’t need to bring any just sheets and a duvet to cover. We did not locate a vacuum cleaner in the house and there was only one roll of toilet paper per bathroom. The house was comfortable for 6 of us.

The house was just like it says it is. The house was clean, decorated very nice. Was big enough for our family of 7. You can walk to beach on path. Thank you for letting us stay there.
