Not a transparent transaction. Large deposit was not clearly disclosed and then held for 15 days after we vacated because that is the policy. This transaction involved Expedia, the Local Agency and VRBO. It required numerous phone calls to find out when our deposit would be returned. None of these agencies would accept responsibility .

Here’s a balanced, well-worded review you can use: --- Overall, we had a pleasant stay, with a few notable drawbacks. On the positive side, the bed and linens were extremely comfortable, and the studio itself is very cute and thoughtfully set up. The property was easy to find, located in a quiet neighborhood, and check-in was simple and seamless. Communication with the host was also smooth and responsive. There were, however, a few issues. The shower head was difficult to adjust, which made for less-than-ideal water pressure. We also noticed several marks and small holes on the walls where décor appeared to have been removed but not repaired, which took away from the overall appearance. The spa cover is quite worn and could use replacement. The biggest disappointment was the lack of a working coffee maker. The listing advertised one, and while there was a Keurig (not our preference, but we were willing to use it), it did not work and clearly needed to be cleaned or descaled. When we reached out, it sounded like this was already known but hadn’t been addressed. The host mentioned making note of it for future guests, but unfortunately that didn’t help during our stay. As morning coffee drinkers staying several miles from the nearest coffee shop, this was a significant inconvenience. With a few updates and better attention to these details, this could be a really great place to stay.

We had a lovely stay. Very close to Joshua Tree National Park but also in a very quiet part of town. The kitchen had everything you could need. AC kept us cool and was very quiet. A good spot to look at the night sky from your hot tub. The washer and dryer were a big plus.

This is a very nice property! It was perfect for my family. It’s quiet, clean, has a really nice vibe, and close to lots of food areas. Communication was also awesome! I’d definitely stay here again!

Pleasurable overnight stay

I loved it here. The jacuzzi and hammocks under the stars are an amazing experience. the backyard has full privacy. House is very cozy and well layed out.

Lovely home in a quiet, isolated location and very close to the park. Pet friendly and great communication from the host.The only issue we experienced was with the hot tub. The chemical levels seemed high and caused skin irritation. Everything else about the stay was great.

The location of this property was perfect for what we came for — very convenient and exactly where we needed to be. The space itself is cute and has a lot of potential, but unfortunately our stay didn’t go quite as smoothly as we hoped.We brought our own food for the weekend, but the refrigerator wasn’t keeping things cold, and most of our food spoiled within the first night. We reached out to the host, but the situation wasn’t really resolved and we ended up having to throw away quite a bit. It was a disappointment since we don’t eat out and rely on the food we bring with us.We also had some trouble with the hot tub — it seemed to be heavily treated with chemicals and was uncomfortable to use, so we avoided it after the first attempt. That was unfortunate since it was one of the features that drew us to book this place.Overall, the location worked out great for us, but a few maintenance issues and communication challenges kept it from being the relaxing stay we were hoping for.

The property was exactly as advertised, and had everything we needed! The house was close to Joshua Tree, was well equipped, and the hot tub was an especially nice treat at the end of the day. The owner was easy to reach when needed and responded quickly if we had a question. It was great!

Everything was as described. Private place with everything needed for light cooking & a soak in the hot tub after a full day at Joshua Tree NP.Bed was super comfy, we slept great! The whole place was very clean & cute.Having a washer & dryer was a big bonus.Check in was a breeze & communication was exceptional. We'd definitely stay again!
