We have had a lovely stay at Moon River Cottage. The location is perfect - close to Old Town Florence, on a quiet street and perched on the river with a spectacular view. Access was easy - the instructions that were emailed in advance were perfect. The house is very well appointed with almost all amenities you need for a stay. Kitchen has lots of pots and pans and an excellent set of chef's knives, which was wonderful for preparing meals. Bedrooms are quite comfortable, however the heating units, when they come on are quite loud and will wake light sleepers. Best to leave them turned off if possible. The main bathroom shower is in the bathtub and is very slippery so use the mat provided. There's lots of hot water and good water pressure. Unlike all other VRBO rentals I've had, this one seems to be managed by a company, rather than an individual and information about the property was brief. When I asked what kind of coffee maker there was in the kitchen, the response was a regular coffeemaker. Turns out it is a Keurig that makes either a pot of coffee or uses individual pods. I could have brought my pods instead of buying ground coffee. There wasn't any information at the house about how things operated and only generic information about local sights/restaurants, etc. There were no toiletries (save for one makeup remover pad) in the bathrooms, so we had to buy our own hand soap and shower gel. I don't expect VRBO rentals to have toiletries like shampoo, etc., but hand soap seems pretty basic and necessary. There was dish soap in the kitchen but no kitchen sponge or cloth - had to buy those too. Trash from the previous tenant was left in the kitchen so we had to deal with that. That being said, I would still stay here again, especially knowing better what to bring with me.

This older home has been beautifully updated. Very clean and cozy! Amazing view of river and dunes. Tucked in the trees this home feels secluded but is only about one mile from HWY 101.

This amazing home on the river is a nature lover's paradise! From the birds, to the seals, to the river's own beauty- it's not to be missed! The home is very comfortable and well set up. Everything you need is provided! We cannot wait to return!

The house and view were just what we needed for relaxation and to celebrate the on-set of Christmastime. The host was accommodating and answered all our questions in a timely manner.We plan on staying again in the future but may bring items like a spatula or perhaps extra paper towels. We were not able to use the fireplace as perhaps the battery needs to be replaced in the remote? This was not a deal breaker at all :)Thank you for everything, Della!!!!

Wonderful cottage on the river. It had everything we needed with a great view. In other places we have stayed, there was a notebook describing how to operate things like the tv that was very helpful. We definitely would stay here again!

The home was tastefully and comfortably furnished. There is a lovely view from the living room and outside areas. We were both delighted with the accommodations.

Beautiful property, well stocked kitchen, great view.Would have been better for 2 older couples to have more shelves in the master bath, and a larger bed in the guest bedroom. We had a great time despite these 2 issues.

My husband and I plus another couple had a wonderful stay! Moon River Cottage was perfect for 2 couples. We loved the peaceful river view, the well equipped kitchen and the proximity to town and recreation opportunities. The cottage was spotless and we appreciated enough parking space for our kayak trailer. We would happily return here.

Wonderful property with great views and location.The only downside was the comfort of the king mattress in the master bedroom. It felt like it had broken down…soft around the edges compressed and hard everywhere else.

This is our 2nd time staying here, and it was a perfect place for our longer stay in Florence. The location cannot be beat, both for access to everything and for the beautiful scene at the back of the house. Watching the birds, seals, boats, wind surfers, kayakers, occasional river otters, and deer from this very private yard was so relaxing and entertaining. Great viewing from outside or inside the house. Having a washer & dryer was incredibly helpful. Our only negative comments relate to towels (ours were pretty pathetic and smelled of fragrance & mildew), and kitchen items (many of the white cups had chips or cracks in them, as did the HEAVY plates). We would have preferred lighter dishes (that did better in the microwave), and more of them. Also, there was only one dishcloth for our extended stay here, and only a few hand towels.

This house was a perfect get away for us all. Very comfortable and clean.

Property was exactly as expected and very comfortable. Only thing I would change is increased seating for the living area (larger couch or another couch.

The cottage is located along the banks of the river where you are able to walk during low tide. Getting to the river is a little slippery but not too difficult. Walk up river to the exploding whale park and loop down the road back to the cottage for a short hike. The cottage is very well appointed and very clean with everything like new. Two queen beds were very comfortable. The deck outside allows you relax and watch the peaceful river with very little boat traffic. We had a deer visit one morning! It's located very close to town and not far from beaches and hiking trails. It was a perfect spot for two friends to visit and would work for two couples or small families. I will be back!

Extremely homey, well stocked, beds comfortable, newly renovated, all the amenities plus more, gorgeous view, private yard, convenient location! We’d definitely stay here again!

House was perfect for the three of us! Loved the view! House had everything we needed. The only thing I would recommend to the owner is to maybe have a ottoman to put your feet up in the living room. Other wise perfect little getaway. The courtyard in the front was so pretty, the landscaping in the back with that view so amazing! Thank you, we will defiantly come back!

We are enjoying our stay. The home is clean and comfortable, nicely decorated. The view is outstanding. I have mobility issues and this home is one level. We will be back.

Charming home with the most spectacular view of the Siuslaw River and Dunes beyond.

We really enjoyed our stay. It was relaxing and peaceful to watch the river. We would love to return in the summer so we can enjoy the amazing outdoor space.

My biggest problem with this home is the heating system. Noisy and a challenge to get the temperature we desired. The other disappointment was the audio system. While tv had a package we were not use to, we couldn’t understand how to get music. When we arrived there was lovely music playing but trying to get music back we were not able to achieve. Other than that this is a beautiful home and of course the view was really nice to watch. The paneling and stone fireplace make the living area really nice. The sunroom was an extra unexpected surprise to this home. Comfortable furniture and we slept really well………after I turned the heat/fan way down in the master bedroom.

We have stayed at this home 4 times now. The fact that we are repeat guests should speak for itself!

We absolutely love this house it’s so warm and inviting! We arrived and the warm glow of the fireplace started our time off so cozy. Absolutely the cleanest freshest stay we have had anywhere. All new appliances and nice furnishings. Super comfortable bed and bathrooms so beautifully done. Huge walk in shower in master was great.

Super clean house right on the river. Terrific views, perfect for 4 people. Nice kitchen, 2-car garage, so quiet. Only draw back is no walkable food options. But driving is easy!

This is the perfect location in Florence! Quick to downtown and beaches and trails. The house is entirely remodeled and very comfortable. We will definitely be coming back again.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Riverfront Cottage. The house was very clean and fresh, beds and bathrooms were comfortable and well-appointed. The view to the Siuslaw river was spectacular and the location is quiet and peaceful. The only note I would give, is that the kitchen was lacking in a few necessities (i.e., a corkscrew, sugar), which required some extra trips to the grocery store, which was close by. We left the corkscrew behind for the next guests to enjoy! Overall, a very pleasant stay.
