Brand new First Basin Lake James rental located in Steuben County, Indiana on the most sought after chain of lakes in the State! Home was just completed in May of 2019 and features 4 large bedrooms with 4 full baths. Sleeps 14-16 people and everything is brand new from the linens to the furniture. This is a completely new home. Pontoon boat is available upon request for rental. Summer prime which is June and July I only accept Saturday to Saturday bookings.

Stayed Jul 20, 2025Since we have kids in 3 states it’s challenging to get gifts home after our Christmas so about 5 years ago we decided to just pay for our family vacation and that would be everyone’s Christmas. Making memories and not having things that break or your outgrow. We had a lovely time at Lake James and hope to come back in 2 years

Stayed May 2, 2025Cal and Laura were amazing hosts. We had family from Connecticut, New York, Michigan, and Kansas in for our daughter’s graduation from Trine. The house was spacious with all we could have needed. The deck was my go to spot for my morning coffee and evening glass of wine. The kids enjoyed the fire-pit making s'mores. If you need a clean, well-stocked place for a large group for graduation or really any time visiting the area I would highly recommend it.

Stayed Dec 26, 2024we were here with our extended familywe used to have a home over on Lone Tree Pointour kids used to love coming in the winter and enjoying the park, the tobaggon run and the innso this year we brought up the next generation to enjoy the area and we were not dissapointeda good time was had by all our VRBO house was great and the owners were very responsive to any questions we hadlook forward to coming back in the future

Stayed Jul 13, 2024Swimming off the dock with ladder was just right for both adults and kids. The lower deck is much bigger than it looks in pictures - plenty of room for people to sit, chat, snack, and come and go. Loved the view from the upper deck in the morning and evening. It was a wonderful lake vacation!
