Frank is amazing host! Thank you ...
Went very well. We’ll be back.
The property is secluded but just a short drive to Asheville. The property was clean and the host delivered a perfect place for a weekend getaway.
We had a few days to get away, hoping to catch some fall color. The Hideout was a perfect place for my family and I to get away to. Centrally located, very clean, and spacious. The layout of the cabin was perfect for our group. The bed swings on the back porch were a hit! Looking to come back and spend more time visiting the area and will definitely consider staying here again.
We booked this property to spend the weekend getting to know the area for our wedding next year. The property was amazing, and Frank was very helpful!
Fantastic location, fantastic house. The house was close enough to town to buy groceries but felt out in the woods and private. Ride share was available to downtown Asheville for us to enjoy the many breweries. Frank was a great host, house was perfect.
The location itself is great! Quick trip into Asheville, or east drive to Chimney Rock, as well as grocery stores, brewery, etc, all very close. Our first day there we even had a black bear walk down the driveway and wonder off into the wood’s surrounding the house! The only thing I would call out is the VERY steep & curvey driveway. It can be intimidating, and may scare people not familiar with mountain homes. Just take your time and you’ll be fine, it’s not that bad. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay.
Visiting Asheville for the first time for my wife’s birthday. Frank was very responsive and helpful with great recommendations on things to do in the area. The property was fantastic, very private, serene with all the amenities we could hope for. We will definitely be back!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house is beautiful and the screened in porch with bed swings is really nice and peaceful. Location is great and we enjoyed several restaurants close by that Frank recommended at check-in.
Had a nice little get away with our family of 5. A couple of the kids slept on sleeping porches which were really neat to go with the large screened in porches. Definitely will be coming back
Our group enjoyed our stay at this home very much. Frank the owner was welcoming and accommodating. The house had everything we needed and the porch bed swings were great for relaxing on the back porch. Would recommend to anyone coming to the Asheville area.
Frank was great to deal with, and the property was better than we could have imagined. The wraparound screened-in porch made the place even better. Naps on the swinging beds for the win. One of the best stocked VRBOs that we have stayed in. We had everything we needed and more. We will be back. There were three couples, and everyone had their own suite.
Excellent location to downtown Asheville and the Chimney Rock/Lake Lure area. Very clean property with plenty of space to spread out. Frank the owner is very friendly and responsive. Would absolutely stay again!
The house was beautiful, and Frank was amazing to work with. He was very knowledgeable about the area, and gave us some great pointers on things to do and places to eat. Even set up horseback riding for our family. Wonderful vacation!!
Super private with beautiful views but only 15-20 minutes from downtown Asheville. Perfect combination. We loved the wood stove and opened of the home.
Our family of six enjoyed this beautiful, clean property for a three night visit to Asheville! The owner/operator was the best host! He met us at our convenience for an early check-in, provided more than expected of all home necessities including fresh eggs and a Christmas tree! Would love to return in the future! The driveway is steep and a bit intimidating but as Frank assured us, we got a little more comfortable with each trip.
Our stay at the Hideout was fantastic! The property was beautiful and wooded and felt very private. The house is lovely and had everything we could ask for. We felt very spoiled here! The outdoor 'floating beds' were fun and there was plenty of room for our group. Frank was awesome--super communicative and friendly, and their farm-fresh eggs made for some incredible breakfasts! Would LOVE to make this an annual visit!
Great house with modern touches. Loved the very large enclosed porch with the relaxing day bed swings. We enjoyed the view up on the hill as well!
Really enjoyed our stay. Frank, the property manager, was very easy to communicate with and he was super accommodating. The house exceeded our expectations. We enjoyed a dip in the hot tub in the afternoon. All attractions were 20 minutes away - hiking, kayaking, downtown Asheville, etc. would recommend this house. We even saw a family of bears. Just know the driveway is steep - not a problem - just need to go slow.
Wonderful!
We had a wonderful experience at The Hideout. The property was clean and well stocked. Check in was seamless and Frank, the host, was available to answer any of our questions. The location was an easy trip to downtown, the Biltmore and the Blue Ridge Parkway. As city folks the driveway was a bit of a challenge but we did get the hang of it. The beds were comfortable and some members of our party even slept on the swinging porch beds at night to enjoy the cool nighttime temperatures. There is plenty of room for a large family or multiple couples vacationing together. We even had the pleasure of seeing a mama bear and her two clubs frolicking nearby. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend The Hideout.
House was amazing. Wrap around porch was awesome and showers were great as well. We had an amazing stay. Frank was a GREAT host!
