Nestled in the heart of the Hocking Hills.... Hummingbird Holler

The property was amazing and identical to the listing. It was very clean and comfortable with everything you would need. The outside was picturesque with the running creek and array of bird sounds. It’s the perfect place to get away and relax.

Our family really enjoyed our stay at Hummingbird Holler. All we needed for our comfort was provided and clean. Owner was prompt in messaging and attentive, process of checking in and out was very efficient. A lot of care and personal touch was put into this accommodation to feel like a home away from home - even got to see our first hummingbird of the season this morning while enjoying a quiet cup of coffee!

We absolutely loved this property! The house was warm and welcoming. The yard was amazing! The lawn is beautiful, and even though we didn't use the firepit, we really enjoyed sitting out on the patio in the sun while our dog played in the stream. Loved the location. Just a short drive to Hocking Hills State Park but far enough to be so peaceful and away from the crowds. We would definitely stay here again

This was our 2nd time here and we loved it as much as the first time. Home is comfortable, clean, and exactly like the photos in the listing. The host is kind and communicative. My son absolutely loves the little creek out front - he caught (and released) minnows, salamanders, crayfish, and frogs! The house location is close to everywhere … old mans cave, ash cave, lake Logan, rock house, and clear creek metro park.

The property is absolutely beautiful! A lot of room for dogs to run and kids to play. The house is beautiful and very clean. We had an amazing getaway with our family!

Kevin was very welcoming and neat story behind the plants around the house. House was very clean and hospitable. 4 of us stayed there and everyone said the beds were comfortable. We were there in February, I'd like to see the place when the flowers are blooming. Very beautiful setting, even in winter. We will definitely be back.

The house is very nice and the hosts are very friendly. The kitchen is well stocked. Beds were comfortable and plenty of towels and supplies were provided. The hosts provided firewood for the fire pit as well.

We loved everything about our stay at Hummingbird Holler! The only complaint was that we couldn’t stay for longer… Everything we needed and more (making use of the boardgames!) was provided on top of the beautiful outdoor space. We’re already planning our next trip back!

Wonderful place to stay for a little escape the hustle and bustle! I just recommend you get the entry code before your arrival, as there is almost no cell service. Beautiful property and very clean!

Be warned the road its on is scary to pull onto as its a downhill steep slope. House was absolutely beautiful spacious and the area gorgeous and quiet. Was a little bummed the karaoke machine was inoperable. Would absolutely book again! Has 3 bedrooms and one has fullsize bunkbeds in it!

The cabin was very comfortable, clean, and well stocked. We enjoyed ourselves tremendously… it was certainly a family oriented environment.. The beds were super comfortable and the other amenities were very nice and clean. We had a wonderful time and would like to visit again. This was my first experience with VRBO, having exclusively used Airxxx for years. Perhaps the differences between the two platforms contributed to my expectations. At 300 per night, I anticipated a higher quality stay.The location is fantastic, conveniently close to the hiking spots at Hocking Hills. The home was clean, and the grounds were lovely. However, a few minor improvements could elevate the experience to match the price point.Towels:I expected softer, more absorbent towels. The ones provided fell short of this basic standard. Amenities: The host supplied a low-quality hand soap that didn’t lather well, and there were no additional shower amenities like shampoo. In my experience with Airxxx, decent hand soap and basic toiletries are standard. Bedding: The master bedroom pillows were old and very mishapen, making for an uncomfortable sleep. Games:We attempted to play three games, all of which were missing pieces and seemed outdated. Our 16-year-old struggled with the trivia in the games, as much of it felt irrelevant. Carbon Monoxide Detector:There was an issue with the CO detector; it announced a loss of power every time the electricity went out—this happened 5-6 times overnight.Noise Issues: The sump pump was noisy throughout the night, which kept both my husband and me awake. Power Outages: We experienced multiple power outages, which ultimately broke my CPAP machine. If you rely on such devices, be cautious.Bathroom Situation: With only one bathroom, getting

Host was very courteous and helpful and responded quickly. I wasn't able to stay in the cabin due to bad weather so I cannot rate my stay, but wanted to send a kind note regarding the host Kevin who was awesome and provided great communication and easy check in details.

It had the perfect location. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Only issue was that one of the doors wouldn’t fully lock. They had plenty of wood for a campfire and even had a lighter. It had everything you needed in the kitchen to cook. My partner and friends also loved this place! We enjoyed our stay.

Good impression

We loved our stay at Hummingbird Holler. This was our 3rd trip to Hocking Hills but our first time at this rental and was by far our favorite. All the amenities, the decorating, the cleanliness, the property and the comfort were top notch. Although it rained we still enjoyed relaxing on the porch. They even made sure our dog felt welcome.Definitely recommend this beautiful place.

The pictures didn't do it justice. Beautifully decorated, everything you'd ever need and then some. I spent a couple of hours each day sitting on the porch watching the hummingbirds. Sometimes they even buzzed me. Everything is new and works. The best thought out rental I've ever been in. 90% of the time the only sounds I heard were cicadas, frogs and birds.

A beautiful property and home. My daughter and I, along with our dogs, enjoyed walking around the property. Especially was thankful for air conditioning since the temps were in the 90s. We would definitely rent here again.

Not real sure how anyone could rate this place anything other than fantastic. We have stayed in a alot of places through the years and this has to be the best. Had everything you could want or need, and it was clean when we arrived and the property was well groomed. Was exactly what we were looking for and best part was we could bring our furry kids.

Really nice property that was perfect for our us and our kids. They had so much fun checking out the creek and using the shooting area for their BB guns. It's a very fun and unique property that is quiet and off a main road. The kitchen was nice and we appreciated the gas stove. The bed was very comfortable and we were glad it was a king because our kids are young and love sleeping with us in strange places. The only thing that could make it better would be a second toilet but despite that we would stay here again.

My brothers, husband, dog and I love this location. The Manager, Kevin, is the best. The property is beautiful, quiet, and close to everything you will need. Wood for fires, grill, outdoor entertaining space. It's the greatest. The Hocking Hills area offers unlimited outdoor experiences, and this property is in the middle of it.

This is a great place to stay in the hocking hills area. House and property were clean and spacious. We enjoyed sitting on the porches in the morning drinking coffee. The kids enjoyed the creek running through the property and the tree swing. Would come back at a later date.

The location was amazing Loved that we could unwind and have family time.We got to be by the fire pit dancing and making smores. At night we did board games and watched tv. Having grandma fayes so close was a blessing. We forgot to pack a few things and had to make a few trips to the store.

This is an excellent property with many amenities. The owners are very attentive to any needs or concerns. The property is very clean. Be aware that cell phone service may be limited so I recommend taking a screenshot/writing down all directions and info ahead of time to avoid inconvenience.

This home was very clean, everything you need was there (besides food of course), so peaceful with the stream going thru there front yard, yard was well maintained, and it an amazing location! I highly recommend this place over any hotel stay!!!

My wife and I have been coming down since 2021. We come down each Spring and Fall. We've gotten to know the owner, Kevin Brown, and he would do anything to make your stay more pleasurable. There are plenty of properties to rent in the area, but we wouldn't stay anywhere else. It is convenient to Laurelville for any of your needs. And if you want to see hummingbirds, this is the place!

Hummingbird Holler was as described and even better. The home was spacious with plenty of beds that were super comfortable. The grounds are truly beautiful and our dogs loved it. No worries about traffic in this out of the way cabin. Everything you need is supplied. Check in was easy and check out even easier. We were also minutes away from many of the caves and hikes. Communication with Kevin was responsive and informative. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.

Something for everyone. The kids enjoyed the stream, swing, and open space. My dog was disappointed to come back to the city, seeing him run the grounds, he has never run so fast. Our favorite place was the big porch in the morning. The rippling stream In the back ground, birds in the tree tops, a hot cup of coffee, and some comfortable chairs to absorb it all. Perfect place for some quality time. My family is already asking when we can come back.

2nd time back to this property. We really enjoy the peace and quiet of the land. I enjoy the shooting range and the kids loved playing in the creek and the swings. We will likely be back in the future.

My dogs and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this lovely property. The house was clean, comfortable, and inviting, and the location in the woods was idyllic and serene. Be sure to take the time to sit on the swing and enjoy the sight and sound of the stream. Just be aware that Internet service in the area is spotty so have your directions printed.

Even though we were met with misfortune on our trip up to Hummingbird Holler, our host was super helpful and encouraging, going above and beyond what was needed of them. It was no more than 15 minutes to any of the key hiking areas of Hocking Hills and less than 10 minutes away from a few grocery/convenient stores. We will definitely be coming back.

We spent two wonderful nights in the Hocking Hills, and one bright winter day walking through four separate caves amidst snow, frozen waterfalls, and spectacular hiking. Our house was perfect and our host, Kevin, was extremely communicative and helpful in every way possible. This was a five-start experience for two couples in their 70s.

Surrounded by nature without visible neighbors, it was great to sit on the porch listening to the creek running and birds chirping while we drank our coffee. Didn’t get use the fire pit but the area looked great with plenty of wood to burn.

This place was perfect for our long Thanksgiving weekend. Lots of room and very clean and cozy. We had all of our food and drink and never had to leave the place. I walked the property several times with my little dog, who loved the accommodations as well. We would like to come back in slightly warmer weather to really enjoy the outdoor space. Overall a great place to relax and unwind. We will definitely be returning to Hummingbird Holler!

My wife and I come down to Hummingbird each spring and fall season. We have done this for the last four years. We always consider this a five star stay. The owner is a great host and very easy to communicate with.

We’ve been coming to stay in this cabin every year since just after covid. One year I think we visited in the fall and the spring. It’s an awesome place and centrally located to so much: hiking, OU, Columbus and for us… family. The cabin is perfect. It’s roomy, well equipped for outdoor and indoor recreation, and clean. Don’t hesitate in booking this one! And go to the Ridge Inn for dinner. :)

Five acres of wooded hillside beauty! The house and property were clean and had all the necessities provided. The owner stayed in touch the entire time, even alerting us of a serious weather event nearby.

Everything was awesome! Had a little trouble getting the key from the lockbox,but everything else was as promised.

If you like peace and quiet this home is for you. Very clean and spacious. The yard is nice and there is even a trail to walk on the property. I would suggest you bring your own pillows if you don't like hard pillows but otherwise everything was perfect.

Very nice house and property. Owner provides lots of amenities. Furniture and beds are very comfortable. Loved the porch swing and the rocking chairs on the front porch. Our 2 complaints are the bathroom fan is really loud and would love a paper map of the area. My GPS took us down some pretty scary roads and had us pull in to people's driveways and a campground looking for Old Man's cave! Got to Old Mans' cave eventually and asked for a paper map! LOL I left it in the cottage in the living room with the other brochures. Would definitely recommend.

The property sits nicely along a seldom used road. One of the reasons I picked this property was for the creek running through, and it did not disappoint. My fiance enjoyed walking the creek and catching frogs, salamanders, and crawfish. The pups loved exploring the property too. Inside is laid out well, everything was easy to find. The games and puzzles that are stocked were a nice evening activity as we wound down for the day. Felt like home as soon as we arrived!

Everything was wise regular! The ONLY suggestion would be a hot tub It was cleans, beautiful property, had everything you’d need for the kitchen and outside cooking with a great firpit The beds were comfortable and wow was a clean!

Enjoyed the hummingbirds & thank you for the coffee! I was taking allergy medication, and it helped me stay awake!

From the easy to spot pink deer driving up to the property, to checking out, everything was thought of. We loved this property, it was beautiful and every small detail was thought through. We had dry wood for a fire with smores even though it sprinkled, because the wood is covered. We had targets for the shooting range, coffee for the keurig, a bandaid when necessary, and games to play. Everything is clean, there's a binder with instructions for anything you wondered about, and communication was great. We were offered early check in and late check out because there wasn't anyone coming in the next day. Perfect stay. THANKS

This was our 2nd time staying and won't be the last! Kevin was quick to answer any of our needs and is the perfect host. Our favorite memories are drinking coffee on the porch and being greeted by more hummingbirds than we can count, target practice at the shooting range, and finishing the day relaxing by the firepit. Hummingbird Hollar is truly is a hidden gem. We can't wait until next year...if not sooner!

We absolutely loved our 1 night stay at hummingbird holler. Wish we could’ve stayed longer, but we were coming back from weeklong vacation in West Virginia And just needed to stop off for the night. We had heard good things about the Hocking Hills area and decided to stop for a day, do some hiking, and stay nearby. Enjoyed our night at the house playing on the grounds outside and enjoyed a bonfire under the stars. Very clean, comfortable and well appointed. Would certainly stay again if we ever come through the area.

The property was lovely and quiet. Like a home away. Location close to all the Hocking Hills hiking places. With many food allergies, we were able to cook all breakfasts and suppers, carried our lunches. We spent some time one evening at the house and had a campfire. Lovely visit. Highly recommend.

Honestly, we feel like Hummingbird Holler is our home. This is our 3rd year staying and it is the only place we can take a deep breath and relax on vacation. Kevin is awesome and everything is a breeze. It is definitely our happy place.
