Stayed Jul 31, 2022This house is more expensive than its competitors in the area, but it’s well worth it if you prize “bright and spacious.” It’s truly bright and spacious, and very well designed for a group. This is especially important if you think you might not be spending all your time outside.

Stayed Aug 28, 2025Great house, perfect distance from Bar Harbor. Secluded. The water was not what it was portrayed in the picture. Not a big deal for my family but I would not use it on the opening page.

Stayed Oct 18, 2024We had a wonderful time here. The place is very sweet. It is well located - outside of Bar Harbor but very close. It is definitely not fancy - but has everything you need.

Stayed Aug 31, 2024The hosts were superb! Communications started well before we arrived at their house on Otter Creek Drive. Everything that was expected was there upon arrival. Amazingly, hiking trails were found right out the front door. We were able to walk to other trails nearly by and made it to the top of Cadillac Mountain! We give the Spruces our very best wishes and hope that we can arrange for another visit next year.

Stayed Aug 10, 2024Had a great time. Kids had fun at the hidden water pond. Kyle was great to deal with. Very easy check in. When we had issues he replied quickly and was helpful. Would just say the house maybe could have been a little cleaner. Overall, a good stay and super location.

Stayed Jul 24, 2024My crew came up to enjoy the beauty of nature with several planned hikes throughout Acadia. The most appealing aspect of this property was the proximity to Acadia. It was LITERALLY a 4 minute drive to the Acadia entrance and probably 5 minutes to the center of Bar Harbors shopping area. Communition with the host was flawless.

Stayed Jul 20, 2024When visiting Maine and Acadia National Park, there is no better place to stay than Woods and Waters! This open-concept family home is located at the base of Cadillac Mountain, steps from Acadia Park. Its location is absolutely perfect! The house has a detailed (waterproof) map of the many trails of Acadia that are left, right and all-around this wonderful property. It is a short drive (less than 4 mi) down the street to get to downtown Bar Harbor (Otter Creek turns into Main Street Bar Harbor. It was wonderful to go to downtown for the whale watching and shopping but yet retreat back to Woods and Waters for the cozy, relaxed get away in the woods. We even explored the trails on the property and found the creek and watering hole. The kids swam and made wonderful memories. Catrina was extremely responsive and helpful before and during our trip. This home is a definite YES!!!

Stayed Jun 23, 2024Property is close to town and close to Acadia which makes it great after a long day of hiking or sightseeing. Skylights are great at night in the master bedroom but make it a little difficult when the sun creeps in before 5 in the morning. We didn’t do much cooking but the kitchen was well stocked with utensils and cookware. Would recommend having more plentiful paper towels and toilet paper available for guests as those aren’t things we usually worry about running out of at other properties visited in the past. It was also nice having a house in the woods and we were able to hike to the creek nearby. The window units worked well keeping the home cool during the day with the summer heat but otherwise weren’t necessary at night time when things cooled down. Overall would recommend staying at Woods and Waters.
