Volcano, Hawaii
Welcome to the Island of Hawai'i
The island of Hawai'i is the youngest and largest island in the Hawaiian chain. Nearly twice as big as all of the other Hawaiian Islands combined (hence, its nickname, “Big Island”), its sheer size is awe-inspiring. You can travel through all but four of the world's different climate zones here, ranging from Wet Tropical to Polar Tundra, a result of the shielding effect and elevations of the massive volcanoes Maunakea and Maunaloa. From the many geological features at Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park to the snow-capped heights of Maunakea; from the lush valleys of the Hilo and Hamakua Coasts to the jet-black sands of Punaluu Beach, the island of Hawai'i is an unrivaled expression of the power of nature. However you decide to experience the island, it is sure to leave you humbled!

Come experience off the grid living!
This property is off the grid. We ask that you conserve water, gas, and other resources as much as possible when staying at this property. We have a rain catchment system that uses filtration to provide drinking water from the rain. This system is limited in the amount of water that it can produce. It provides plenty of water for guests; however, waste and overuse will deplete the resource faster. The propane is delivered to the property and is also in limited supply. Again, there is plenty to use, we just ask you please conserve resources as much as possible.
Very peaceful and safe neighborhood. Many of the neighbors enjoy living away from the world. Please be respectful of their desire to remain off the grid. We ask that you keep sound to a minimum and that you have the highest respect for the land.
(IMPORTANT disclaimer: do not smoke or use the gas dryer or fire pit when a gas dryer or gas fireplace is on. Turn off the gas dryer or gas fireplace before using any fire!)

Mahalo for your Kokua
We had a great stay at Aaron’s place. It was clean and there was room enough for all 5 of us. Communication was perfect and the extra touch of s’mores ingredients Ana pancake mix show Aaron cares about his guests. We started here on our 2 week vacation in Hawaii and enjoyed this part of the island. Definitely would stay again.
This was a great place to call home for the weekend. It was clean, comfortable and more than what I/we were expecting. The location, weather and temperature was great coming from the cooler side of the island in Waimea. We were all comfortable which was huge with a 6 year old & an 18 month old. Aaron was easy to work with and very accommodating. The pictures do not do this place justice. It’s truly a wonderful home away from home. We will definitely be back!
There were five of us and we were only there for one night but the house is big and spacious and immaculately clean. The house is tucked away with the rain forest around it so it was quiet and felt secluded and it is only a few minutes from the Volcano National Park. It was a very enjoyable stay. Aaron was easy to contact and very nice! My only suggestion would be for more places to sit and relax in the living room. Everything else was great! I would definitely recommend this place.
