This is a beautifully restored home 3.5 miles from the French Quarter. Very safe neighborhood. Plenty of Parking. Also, very close to a boat launch which offers the best fishing in the country. Stay an extra day or two. Bring a boat or charter a fishing captain and go fishing.
The house has 4 king beds. There are 3 full baths and a half bath. We completed remodeling the house in February 2020. Next door is a another house with 4 king beds and 3.5 baths. We completed remodeling the second house in 2015. We have central air and heat and a washer/dryer in the house. The house has a pergola with table and chairs and a nice side porch with table and chairs. The front porch is a nice place to sit in the afternoons with sun setting behind the house. From the porch, or a 2 block walk to the river, you can watch the cruse liners, paddle boats and cargo ships go up and down the Mississippi river. This is Southern relaxation at it's best. The French Quarter is 10-15 minutes away.
No Smoking. No Pets.

The house is perfect for a family! Very spacious.
The house itself is nice but it does need some upgrades the bed pillows, sheets, comforters and mattress needs updating the pillows have no stuffing they are very flat. The shower curtains and rugs needs to be replaced they are worn and washed out. The chair in the living room needs to be replaced when you sit it goes almoyto the floor. The kitchen door needs to be sealed you can see outside. Very nice home but really needs updating
First time to New Orleans and house was good and not far away from attractions.
Everything on the property was fine. Just like it was listed
This house and location was just what we were looking for! Three teens had their own room. Never waited more than 10 min for an Uber and ride into NO was about 10-15 min. Mr. Landry was very responsive and showed up to fix a chirping smoke detector when we arrived. Plenty of room to eat and watch tv. Bring K cups for coffee. The first couple of nights were cold and the downstairs was quite drafty so bring an extra sweater and fuzzy socks if you get cold! As others have mentioned, hot and cold are reversed on faucets. If you plan to cook, may want to bring some Measuring cups, bowls, knife and cookie/ baking sheet. Not a lot of provisions but most folks don’t come to NO to cook, so wasn’t a big deal to us, but these are things I like To know. We felt very safe here. A must see is sunset behind the city at the Miss River just blocks from the house. We and several others sat and watched the sun set. Conseco Market very near the house has great take and eat options. Get some donuts at Gerard’s. My hubby recommends the Maple Bacon! The Arabi Food market was closed so we didn’t get to try that spot. The home was clean, plenty of linens provided. Would highly recommend this home and would definitely stay here again. Thanks Mr Landry for your hospitality!
We came here for my 21st birthday and enjoyed our stay! The only bad thing I would say is that the showers and the downstairs area was a little cold.
We had a wonderful stay in Arabi. The house was perfect for our needs and was very nice and comfortable. We all felt at home. The rooms were all spacious. The downstairs area had everything we needed! We rented a car and the trip down to Bourbon St and surrounding areas was super easy to drive to from the location. We would definitely stay again!
It was nice and close to everything.
The house was bigger than it looked in the pictures. Super pretty. Owner was awesome. Owner’s son was awesome. Great property in a great neighborhood. Love that the river is right down the street.
Property was perfect for what we needed for a long weekend in New Orleans for 7 people.
We really enjoyed our stay at this location. The rental was exactly as listed on Vrbo. The house was very clean and spacious. The location was convenient and the neighborhood was very peaceful.
The owner of this residence was very accommodating. The neighbors were friendly and the stay was outstanding.. thank you again from coach KJ and triple Threat sports
Loved the bedrooms and bathrooms. The upstairs area was extremely nice and spacious. We were able to get Lyfts to go to Bourbon street and typically our wait was only 8 minutes- night or day. Thank you for your hospitality.
Good experience overall
First of all, this is the week that the tornado hit this area but only the power was knocked out. Started off with a strong paint smell in the bedroom. No big deal I figured, I would just sleep with the window cracked even though it was going down to the upper 40’s. Got in bed at night and realized that there was only a sheet and no blanket in the bedroom in this house, so I had to close the window and all of us had to sleep in a sweatshirt and clothes. Now the power. The owner lives nearby and did hook up a generator the day after the tornado. We were considering leaving but he said he thought the power would be back up the next day. Generators are very loud and 3 bedrooms were right next to the generator which made sleep very difficult. 2 people had medical devices that needed power so the generator needed to stay on. On top of that, for whatever reason multiple smoke alarms started beeping at 3:30 am so obviously no sleep the first night. When asked about the power the next day he said it should be going back on that day. When asked about fixing the smoke alarms so they wouldn’t beep all night his response was “there is a ladder in the closet”. Wait what???? I said some of ceilings were 12’ high with a 4' ladder and asked him to take care of them. Of course, no power that night and he did nothing with the smoke alarms so they started beeping at 4 am. One person had to sleep on the couch in the other house the rest of the time, one basically said he just drank so much that he could get a few hours sleep and I only got another couple hours of sleep. Same story, I was told power should be back on and I took down some smoke alarms. No power that night, other smoke alarms were beeping and again no sleep. I have afib and 3 days of no sleep put me in a prolonged afib attack and I had to buy a ticket home and cut my trip short to get my heart under control. I get the tornado was not his fault but when asked about a credit for putting up with these conditions the response was “come on back next year and I will give you a good deal”. Yeah, no. Most people are nice when everything is going good, you see someone’s true colors when things go wrong.
This house was terrific. It had plenty of room for our large family and the kitchen had everything we needed for serving simple meals. The neighborhood was nice and quiet.
