Stayed Mar 20, 2026Great communication with the host. House is in a quiet neighborhood about 15 min from the French Quarter and 30 min from the airport. Plenty of street parking, which is a huge bonus in NOLA. House has great character, clean and nicely appointed. House could use a little TLC here and there, but overall in good condition. Beds were very comfortable.

Stayed Mar 12, 2026We had a nice stay -thank you. we were welcome by a classic old house with huge porch and high ceilings. the house was perfect for our multigenerational group of 6. Property was very close to listing- the beds all clean and king size. No pictures of bathrooms but they too were clean and great. 2 tubs and one walk in shower . There was a small half bath off dining room that no one even needed to use but an option if needed.Kitchen pretty well stocked with basics. Plenty of towels - old but clean. Freezer door handle was nearly falling off - we needed to shut ice maker it was making noise at night ( but no ice) Temperature control was great- used extra blankets first evening as it was cold ( each room also had space heaters and some fans for hot days). Think there was AC but we didn’t need. Many TVs but we didn’t use any so can’t say if they work. 2 hair dryers Our only concern not knowing area at all was the flimsy locks on all doors and front room window/doors. Arriving at night it felt a bit unsafe but we were there for 3nights and it was fine. The house is old but modern at same time. Interior is beautiful and classy ( better than photos) It was overall quiet however you should know that the front room can hear car traffic and oddly on Thursday evening there was an unusual amount of cars driving by at 11-12. We assumed it was overflow from sugar factory up the street which the person sleeping in front room said they could hear a humming all night.

Stayed Oct 23, 2025This is a beautiful authentic piece of New Orleans architecture in a safe neighborhood, and it's super easy to reach the main downtown tourist destinations (French Quarter) by car or taxi/ ride-sharing service. We were a large group (14 aduluts, 3 children under 2 years old: grandparents, parents and kids), and everyone was comfortable and had enough space in the house to socialize or withdraw for some privacy. (We rented the other half of the house as well- a separate listing). This half of the house had all the bedrooms on the ground floor which was good for some family members who didn't want to climb stairs. (You just need to get up the four or five porch steps to get in the front door). The kitchen was well stocked. The beds were super comfortable. I grew up in New Orleans and know the city well. This is a great location if you want to park your car on the street without fear of it being broken into. (which is not the case in the Treme or Bywater neighborhoods just down the road). It's also a good choice if you need a little peace and quiet after all the action at the major tourist attractions. The host was helpful and responsive to our needs.Thrre were also some good, down-home authentic New Orleans restaurants nearby- some even walking distance, and grocery stores were close by as well. This place is a gem!

Stayed May 15, 2025The rooms are spacious, and there are plenty of bathrooms. The neighborhood is quiet and the neighbors would wave as they walked by with their dogs. A nice quiet place for our group to share a meal together and sleep in comfort.

Stayed Feb 27, 2025Excellent stay in a quiet neighborhood only a fifteen minute drive to the French Quarter, where the parades and festivities were. Plenty of parking for the vehicles we rented, and bus stops a few blocks walk away. There were several small shops within walking distance, but many were closed for the celebrations. Larry was easy to reach when we needed anything. The house was clean and bright. Well stocked cooking and eating necessities, but we did buy more toilet paper, as there was only enough for a couple days, and no laundry soap. Would definitely recommend for a small group or family vacation!

Stayed Sep 12, 2024My husband & I, along with two other couples who are dear, lifelong friends, take an annual trip together. We call ourselves the “Travel Buddies”. NOLA is now at the top of the ranking of the best trip ever! Our authentic low country 1905 bungalow was the crowning jewel of our trip!
