Nautical Soul, Modern Comfort: Canalfront Park Living in Heart of Historic Lewes

Very easy communication and well equipped home near everything Lewes has to offer.

I hesitate to give this wonderful property such a glowing review because I do not want the word out on its amazingness!This is one of the cleanest, most organized, well-appointed, and interesting homes we have ever rented. Each bedroom smelled like clean linens, and it felt so good to slide into lovely and crisp sheets that first night after a long day of travel.The house is even more beautiful than the photos suggest! The furniture, floors, and kitchenware are all pristine. The towels, linens, and blankets are new and beautiful.We loved having access to two kitchens, for we stocked them both with waters and fruit. The giant washer and dryer made doing laundry a pleasure.The owners could not be kinder. They responded immediately and thoroughly.And we spent so much time on the front porch, talking to passers by, watching the little league teams play ball, and enjoying the early summer sky.This house is gorgeous!We hope to return next year!

This is probably one of the best, most beautiful, clean, and well stocked homes we have ever rented. The owners were beyond helpful, kind, and responsive. The two kitchens provided us with ample space to spread out our beach things as well as stock the refrigerators with water and fruit.Every bedroom was impeccably clean, organized, and up to date. I loved climbing into a crisp and cleanly laundered bed that first night after traveling.The couches, chairs, and rugs were perfect! The loft is a kids' dream: cozy and private yet open to the activities downstairs.We used the front porch often to have our coffee and chat with passersby. We love this house so so much!Thank you for a great stay!

A home that feels like home, with lots of natural light and comfy beds and seating! This super-clean, spacious and beautifully appointed gem, situated in the heart of Lewes, was perfect for our multigenerational family and friends. The central location is an easy walk to the canal, ballfields and sport courts, restaurants and shops. There were great indoor and outdoor spaces for groups, as well as private spaces for quieter moments. The mini-office with networked printer allowed those of us who needed to work the opportunity to do so without impacting the beach vibe. The array of sports equipment, beach items, bikes, and amenities were appreciated by all. Plenty of cookware, utensils, ceramics and glassware, etc., with large fridges in each kitchen. My family and I stayed here for 2 weeks and had a lovely time. The house is perfected located for walking into town and to the beach and accessing the canal for paddleboarding, kayaking, etc. Sean was easy to communicate with and the house was beautifully decorated and maintained. Also we first thought the two kitchens were a bit awkward, but realized it worked out great as we had 2 families sharing the house. We'd definitely stay again!

A great experience for multiple families wanting to be nearby to everything in Lewes. Very walkable. House was clean and very well stocked. Sean was very communicative and helpful. We will be back!

We had a great time in this beautiful home. Right before check-in the owner contacted me and wanted to give me a contact number and make sure we had what we needed. The house was beautiful, spacious and clean. It has plenty of room for the four kids we brought plus another couple. The front porch was our favorite place to sit in the evening. The kids would walk to the park across the street and play and we could relax on the beautiful front porch. This house was in walking distance to the great shops and of course Icecream. We loved the outside shower and the carriage house was well stocked with lots of things you would need for the beach. We loved this home.

This was our family's third stay in Lewes, DE, and our first two visits were to a beachfront home on Bay Avenue. To quote my husband, this visit to this home was a game changer for our family in understanding and appreciating the full value of a vacation stay in this charming town. This property was far larger than our family of four needed, but the wide open spaces and extra bedrooms became fun places for our elementary-aged kids to explore and pretend in. We agreed that our next stay would certainly accommodate 1-2 additional families staying with us. The spaces on the front of the house do have some audible sound from the park across the street and occasional loud vehicles but nothing we're not accustomed to living in a suburban area. And the access to those recreation areas - baseball field, tennis/pickleball courts, playground and weekly outdoor concert venue felt like far more of a plus for the property than any kind of minus. The house was incredibly well-appointed and we felt spoiled with an embarrassment of riches compared to our usual prospects in renting beach homes in coastal NC. The kitchen was well stocked with spices, oils and condiments we didn't have to buy; there were plenty of cleaning and paper products to keep things tidy; there were even shower toiletries available in every bathroom - including the outdoor shower. Beach and bath towels provided. The appliances were all in great working order, three-zone HVAC kept us comfortable during warm days and cooler evenings. All of this added up to a very comfortable, easy and convenient stay for us. The master bedroom on the back side of the house was quiet and the bed itself probably the most comfortable we've ever slept in away from home. Definitely stood out as did the two closets in the room - including a huge walk-in closet (not pictured in the listing, that I recall) - and plenty of USB ports for charging our family's many devices. The outdoor space was as lovely as any garden we saw when walking the historic streets of downtown Lewes. Space to lounge, grill, dine and play. Finally, Sean and Brittany were gracious hosts and we even had a brief visit with Sean as we were leaving the property. They were so friendly, so helpful and happy to share recommendations for where to go and what to see. We would highly recommend this property and look forward to an occasion to visit again and share it with friends and family in the future!

Great house for multiple families vacationing together. It has a full kitchen upstairs and downstairs with a master bedroom, additional bedrooms, living rooms and eating areAs on both floors. Plus a cool attic ‘kids room’ to pile any kids. The house is gorgeous and extremely thoughtfully stocked and set up for renters. Every time I thought ‘oh I wish I had….’ I turned around and easily found it. Plenty of towels and supplies and everything you could possibly need. The beds and pillow were extremely comfortable. The back yard is a beautiful garden oasis with tons of hooks and a drying line to dry your beach things. We enjoyed a huge yummy cucumber from their garden. The owner was considerate and helpful with great communication. The house was right next to town (but always very quiet inside) and close to the bay. Overall you can feel how much the owners love and care for the house and it makes you feel the same way when you are staying there. It’s a wonderful home away from home and a great place for a family vacation. We loved it. Thank you.

Our original rental cancelled on us with only 10 days notice which was stressful to say the least. Sean & Brittany were easily contacted & responsive when we scrambling to save our vacation. Pictures do no do this house justice. It has 2 fully equipped kitchens that made eating in easy for us. The second floor kitchen & living area became our nightly gathering spot. Linens & beach items were as promised. The location is ideal for walking into town for dinner, shopping etc. We throughly enjoyed our stay & would highly recommend this property!
