THE NEIGHBORHOOD: Daniel's Hill is a beautiful, historic neighborhood within walking distance of downtown Lynchburg's shops, restaurants, and events. At the end of the street is an entrance to the Blackwater Creek Trail system, which provides guests miles of paved (and unpaved) walking, hiking, & bike trails.
In our neighborhood, you'll find some brick-paved roads flanked with historic lamp posts, a bustling community center with a fenced-in park and playground, sidewalks in both directions, and architecturally impressive homes built from the 1820's to the early 1900's.
Our family of four, plus Grandma, stayed here for a long weekend. The home is very comfortable and well stocked in kitchen and with games puzzles, etc. Beds and linens were comfy. We enjoyed the proximity to downtown and the biking trails. Host was responsive to questions. Hope to return!
We had a little trouble with the door lock upon arrival, but that was quickly resolved with a phone call. The house was very comfortable. The neighborhood was beautifully quiet. I would happily stay here again if coming to this area. The home was stocked with everything necessary. I highly recommend this property.
Great time, great place, great friends. What more could you ask for?
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this home in the historic district of Lynchburg. The home had so much character and was restored beautifully. Our family loved our stay there and would certainly stay there again if we are back in Lynchburg!
Really cool historic home. Enjoyed the National park theme. Everything you could need was provided.
Historic 1873 home in downtown Lynchburg that is thoroughly modern inside. 10 minutes from LU and a short drive to Main Street and restaurants. Perfect location to call home while you explore the area and all it has to offer.
We enjoyed our stay immensley!!
Our stay was wonderful at this beautiful house. It was clean and comfy and had everything we needed. The ease of getting in was great. We had no problems and loved it. Will definitely stay again! Great management as well. Communication was perfect and very helpful. Thank you!!
A charming southern historic home with modern upgrades. Clean and as described a very pleasant stay.
Great place to stay! Extremely nice and cozy. Had everything we needed. It was such a wonderful place to spend time with family.
Very clean and well decorated older house. Quiet neighborhood. Drive very narrow for larger vehicle.
It was truly a home away from home.
PARK PLACE was a very comfortable and relaxing place to come home to after spending the day on LU campus. The kitchen is well furnished. I enjoyed the coffee maker and we cooked breakfast in the mornings before setting off again. We enjoyed some downtown restaurants which are also quaint and delicious. The host guide book was quite helpful. The driveway is gravel and very narrow. But we managed fine with the mazda cx5. This was such a nice place to stay, thank you!
Came for a tournament and wanted to be close to the downtown area— this was perfect! Way better than staying in a hotel.
The house was extra clean and beautiful. You won’t find a more accommodating place or owners. There is a short walk of 1/4 mile into town and anything you want to do. We will certainly be back.
I really enjoyed this house— it was clean, well stocked and the management company was very responsive. It’s in a great location (wake up early to go to Bacon St. Bagels). I had never spent time looking at the historic houses in Lynchburg, and this was a great trip to do it! We would absolutely stay again.
Cool place. God location. Great furnishings
The home is very welcoming, super clean, and everything you need is provided. It is situated in a quiet neighborhood. Communication with Kristina is super easy and she responds in a very timely manner. We would come back and stay again!
