Nice spacious, clean and beautiful house. A few suggestions to make. The larger bathroom is huge and beautiful. Loved the shower! Just need lights over the sink. So, the first night we were there it was extremely cold outside. We could not get the house warm! I understand that it is an old house and you can feel air coming in. We left on our coats, put on extra socks and even wrapped my 83 year old mother in a scarf and blankets. I wish someone had either set the heat up before we arrived around 5 PM or left details of how to work the remotes. I ended up googling the instructions on how to correctly use the remotes for the heat. The house was still extremely cold until the next morning after the heat was on a while and I opened the curtains for sunshine. The second night was much more pleasant!

The house was beautiful. I am very picky about cleanliness and typically I wipe down things upon checking in. This time I didn't need to clean or wipe anything. It's got everything you could need from luggage stands to extra pillows, blankets, towels, hairdryers, etc. The owner was very kind and answered my questions promptly. The neighborhood is really beautiful and historic with proximity to so many fun things to do. My husband, son and I didn't want to leave because it was such a wonderful place. The only thing I would say wasn't ideal ( but this might not be an issue all the time) was the master bedroom, office and master bathroom especially were really warm. We used fans and kept all the curtains closed but heat rises and it got toasty. This wouldn't stop me from staying here again because everything else was so perfect.

This home is beautiful. We were visiting family that live in the area. It is located a short walk away from where they live. The home is comfortable and well equipped. It has been beautifully restored but with just the right amount of the feel of the original home. Loved it!

Beautiful home, perfect location and very comfortable. We were in town to see our son and his wife who live in Lynchburg and it was a perfect place to visit and rest. Very close to anything you need as well.

This house was quite clean and roomy. The host is very quick to respond if you need anything. My friend and I stayed for 5 nights and felt safe and comfortable. We had to extend one night due to bad weather that we did not want to drive home in, and the host was great about getting that arranged! We even hosted a dinner party with local friends in the wonderful dining room! This house is sophisticated and modernized while maintaining its historic charm.

Absolutely the best home we have stayed in. The host has thought of all the little amenities that make you feel at home. The guidebook to the area was helpful. I especially loved the coffee bar! Thanks for a great time! We will be back.

We had a wonderful weekend visiting our son for his birthday. The home is absolutely beautiful! Loved all the original wood floors and the quaint front porch. Although we didn’t use them, the kitchen was well stocked with cookware. I especially appreciated that an appropriate amount of towels and washcloths were provided. So many other places we have stayed have literally provided one washcloth and towel for a stay of several nights. Very grateful that you all provided for our needs! Will definitely consider staying here again!

The house was nice but we had problems controlling the AC downstairs so I’m hoping they get that fixed for upcoming rentals. It’s an easy walk to town and restaurants. Unfortunately someone side swiped our rental car as it was parked on C street with more than enough room to drive by. That made for a frustrating last night/day!

This is a great home. Old home that has been very tastefully redone. Love the old charm mixed with the modernization. Very clean, comfortable place. The beds are super comfy. We came to town to visit LU with our daughter (17) and son came along as well (13). We all were impressed with the house. The neighborhood is an older one where some of the homes have been redone and some are still needing some work. But it’s in a great location to downtown, LU , and some of the other colleges in the area as well. We would stay here again.

We greatly enjoyed our time in this charming historic home. The neighborhood is quaint and quiet. The decor is lovely and the house is very clean. There are two beds, one with a firm mattress and the other is soft. (The upstairs master bathroom does get a little chilly in the morning.) Cozy study nook upstairs was perfect for work or school. We loved the variety of dining options that were so close by. The owners were very responsive and friendly. Highly recommend!

We stayed for a long weekend while my daughter danced in the Nutcracker downtown. The location was great - close to downtown, as well as biking trail by the river. We love the bagel shop! And the Christmas tree made us feel at home.

We loved our stay so much. We moved our daughter into her dorm at Liberty, and this home was such a little oasis while we were in Lynchburg. We loved all the historical charm of the home. So many cute fireplaces all throughout the house! Beautiful details that only come with old homes. I must say the king bed in the master bedroom was the most comfortable bed I have ever slept on. We would definitely love to stay here again.

Just returned from a weekend stay at this beautiful home. Although, being there for a nearby family reunion, we didn’t have a chance to explore the area, the location seemed perfect for doing just that! The description and pictures of the property are completely accurate. The beds were so, so comfortable, the house was very clean, and the AC kept us super cool during a hot weekend. The hosts provided a welcome basket of snacks, coffee pods and creamers, which was so appreciated after a long day of travel and a late arrival. Communication with the host was amazing…the best we’ve ever experienced, with nearly immediate answers to our questions. If you need a wonderful place to stay in the Lynchburg area, stay here! We just hope you don’t book it during the time we want to stay again! Haha!

My daughter and I visited my son who is attending medical school in Lynchburg. The home was just as it appears online and fully furnished with everything we needed. The beds were a highlight and so comfortable with plush linens. We hosted a brunch for a few friends, and there was plenty of room for all. Loved it, and can't wait to go back!
