Situated less than one block from the beach on a private lane, guests will love the short stroll to quiet mid-beach! This classic Tybee Island cottage has undergone major updates that make it feel fun and fresh with all new furnishings, a renovated kitchen, an outdoor living area, and more! It's the perfect spot to make vacation memories that will last a lifetime. In true Tybee cottage character, the main house is located on the second story of the home with the kitchen, living and dining areas, and three bedrooms. Through the front door, guests enter into the all-new renovated, fully equipped kitchen, making it perfect for preparing vacation meals for the family. The openness of the living and dining area gives the space a bright beachy feel that's sure to help you unwind on Tybee Time. The dining table has seating to accommodate 6. The living area features a sectional couch, additional seating, and a large wall-mounted flat-screen TV. Bedroom 1 is outfitted with a king-sized bed, a flat-screen TV, and has access to the upstairs hall bathroom that features a separate walk-in shower, a tub, and a double vanity. Bedroom 2 also has a king-sized bed and flat-screen TV and enjoys access to an ensuite half bathroom. Bedroom 3 features a queen-sized bed, a flat-screen TV, and access to the upstairs hall bathroom. Head downstairs to the ground level, the outdoor living area, two bedrooms, and a full bathroom. The outdoor living space underneath the home includes plenty of outdoor seating, a large mounted TV, a refrigerator, picnic dining table, and a ping pong table for hours of fun! The home's washer and dryer are also located on the ground level and there is a gas grill for cookouts. Bedroom 4 features a twin-sized bed, a single bed, and a wall-mounted flat-screen TV. Bedroom 5 featured a single-sized bed. Both of the bedrooms share a Jack and Jill bathroom with a walk-in shower. There is no public beach access on this lane but it is only a short stroll to the 10th street beach crossover - and no worries about traffic because you are at the beach-side of Butler Avenue! Please Note: There is no connecting interior staircase inside. Bedrooms 4 and 5 are accessed through separate doors in the downstairs entertainment area and are joined by a Jack and Jill bathroom. The upstairs of the home has central air and heat. Two mini-split a/c units cool the downstairs bedrooms.     Shocker! We reserved the home in mid-June for our stay on Aug. 24-26. Upon arrival to the home we entered through the kitchen, and I see mold on the refrigerator door where the water is dispensed, I turn around to look at the oven and the glass is missing on the oven door, upon further inspection of the home its flitty. Linens had been changed but the stain on the mattress protectors had me and all my guest afraid to sleep on the beds, hairs left in the showers that were supposed to be cleaned, the shower curtain hasn't been changed or washed in a long time. We found blood stains on the sofa and the home just has not been kept cleaned. We tried to contact the rental company when we arrived but because it was after 5 PM we were connected to the FL. office who sent us back to the GA. office to leave a message. So no one reached out at all on Friday, we ended up goin out and purchasing blankets & pillows to sleep on. Saturday, I sent another message requesting someone to contact me around 7 AM. we leave and go get breakfast i receive a text they want to know how our stay is going so far and to rate it thumbs up/down. Of course, I I said thumbs down and someone finally called. It was Candice, I told her everything that was wrong with the home, she was very apologetic and said she would get working it immediately. I received a call from Christian, told him everything he too, very apologetic, said he would make a report and get to working on it. Nothing was done during our stay!

    House was very clean and everything in the listing was spot on. There is enough room for large groups and it never felt crowded in the house. Slight walk to the beach isn’t a bad walk at all. Would definitely stay here again in the future, house was great!

    When we first arrived, we thought this beach house was fine except for the lack of hangers in the closets (and after we called, many hangers were promptly delivered). However it started raining and we discovered multiple leaks in the house, in the master BR closet (where shelves were warped no doubt as a result of previous leaks), in the main bathroom, and in the hallway of the downstairs apartment (the ceiling of the hallway had been patched up probably due to previous leaks). Someone came in to inspect the damage and we were quickly offered another cottage which turned out to be perfect (a big thank you to the management at Tybee Vacation Rentals). Mullet Manor needs to have repairs done before it is rented out again.

    My family had a wonderful time at the Mullet Manor. We enjoyed the beach and all the things to do on the island. We brought our bikes and rode everywhere, enjoyed the game area on the lower floor and loved how close the beach was. The house was just like what was described online. We would definitely stay again in the future!

    The upstairs part was immaculate and very nice. The down stairs area, which had two bedrooms, to finish off the total of 5 bedrooms, was very rustic and not anywhere near as nice as the upstairs area. This was like two separate properties. The twin bedroom was the side of a large closet connected to the jack and Jill bathroom that led to the other bedroom. Very dated and smelled very musty. A dehumidifier is desperately needed in the lower level.

    The upstairs part of the house was lovely and perfect in every way. The downstairs area was a much needed additional space for our group and the recreational area was nice even though the sleeping areas were much more rustic and really need to be updated. The two bedrooms downstairs smelled very very musty. I would recommend that the home owner consider adding a good dehumidifier to pull the moisture out of the air and drastically increase the comfort level as well as get rid of the odor. I really don't feel that the basement living area is usable at this time.

    This property was perfect for our bridging to Senior Girl Scouts to Savannah and Tybee Island. We used it to cook most dinners and all breakfasts for our week-long stay. It is just around the corner (very walkable - 10 minutes?) to Lighthouse, Marine Center and the public beach access. Driving, you can get gas, ice cream, souvenirs or grocery shop within 15 minutes. The neighborhood is very peaceful but active enough with dog walkers and golf cart riders. While you sit on the porch (which we used a lot), you can see the water through the trees but not the beach itself. The walk to the beach was an easy, across the street journey that took probably 10 minutes to arrive at the private beach. There are no lifeguards on that part, but I did see them drive through the area on their ATVs occasionally. There are lifeguards stationed on the public part that can be walked to on the beach or via the Marine Center area access. We appreciated the charcoal grill access, as well as having the outdoor shower. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans and all dishes needed. We did bring our own paring knives and glad we did. Other than that, we had everything we needed for utensils and such. Two major things about this street (not just this house): Parking is tough if you have a larger vehicle. We had two cars; a mini-van and Mazda 5. We fit perfectly with those sizes, but I have no idea what we would have done if we chose a larger vehicle to bring. The parking spaces are on a road but to visualize it would be to think of an alley-sized roadway; one-way passes and the need to not stick out onto the street. Due to the age of the neighborhood, it is understandable. It would have just been nice to understand that better before we came to ensure we chose proper vehicle. Again, we had no real issue, but others could. This property has A LOT of steps. Your parking space is at the back of the house and you unload everything starting with brick steps and then steps to the porch and then steps either upstairs to the bedrooms or downstairs to the basement bedroom/laundry. Again, it was not an issue for us but for someone not used to it or unable to, it would be a considerable hardship. Also noted, the bath upstairs only has a claw-foot tub with a shower/spray handle and no shower curtain going around it. This eliminated a shower option for us. We enjoyed ourselves very much & would definitely use this rental again!
