Muhlebach Family Retreat - A Luxury Mountain Getaway

The house was very clean and confortable, especially when traveling with the multiple families with kids. The host was very attentive, we had a great time and would highly recommend this house.

We had a wonderful time at the house! Three families stayed, with great entertainment for the kids. Awesome hill for sledding. Matt the host was very responsive to communication. So close to Tahoe Donner which is a great place to ski. Would stay again!

We had an amazing time staying at Matt's cabin with our kids and family friends. The first thing you realize is that because of the elevation of this cabin it actually gets significantly more snow than the general forecast in Truckee which is fantastic. There's tons of open space around the cabin. We made an epic sled run, built some impressive snowmen, and rolled giant snowballs that my kids will never forget. The layout of the house is fantastic. The wide open kitchen, dining room, and living room made for some very memorable meals and hangouts not to mention the hot tub on the balcony with the view over the snow covered tree tops. The bedrooms are all on the second floor and are very spacious and comfortable with plenty of bathrooms. The additional six bunk beds downstairs was a big hit with the kids and it felt like they were doing a super fun sleepover. Plus the adjacent game room with pool table, arcade machines, board games, and big screen TV meant that the kids had a blast and the adults in our party upstairs barely noticed them. Matt was a great host-- super responsive and helpful. It's only been a week since we stayed here and my two boys have already asked several times when we are going back. We've booked a dozen different cabins in Tahoe city and Truckee over the years, and this is one of our favorites. We can't wait to book this place again next year.

The host was very responsive. The home was absolutely beautiful and in a perfect location. Very handy that there were 2 washers and 2 dryers. We all had a hard time finding a comfortable pillow. It would be nice if there was a body wash in every bathroom so we didn’t have to keep remembering to borrow one from another bathroom before getting inside the shower. However, I loved the brand of products (hand soap, body wash, etc) that were purchased for the rental. One shower didn’t drain well and I brought it to the owner’s attention. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you’d need! Overall, we would definitely stay here again. Thank you.

Home was perfect for our large family. It was well stocked…more so than most we have rented. Owner Matt very responsive Simply lovely and beautiful area close to skiing and sledding for our grandchildren.

host was welcoming. everything worked in the house. plenty of room for everyone as well as the kids. having EV charging was a plus for some in our party. location was good and surrounding roads were easy to navigate.

This house is absolutely amazing! Our family spent Christmas here and made so many wonderful memories. The home is well stocked, beautifully maintained, and in a great location. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it.

We really enjoyed the spaciousness of this magnificent cabin and the playful aspects for the kids. Great open kitchen for Thanksgiving and we loved ending the day in the hot tub! It was as such a blessing to have our huge family all together, we hope to stay here again soon.

Good home for our group trip — clean and comfortable, just what we needed.

Excellent location and host. We have been to 7 different spots in the area and this one is everyone's favorite. We are a large group with 4 families and kiddos ranging from 0-11. The older kids LOVED the lower level!

We have stayed here three times and love it here. Beautiful home with a great location and beautiful area..lots of room. Close to activities. Always have a great time. Host is very good to communicate with and will work with you on your needs.

A great house for our 4 families; this is our second year in a row coming here and we hope to keep coming going forward! The owners are great, with excellent communication and clear instructions for arrival/departure. Really just no complaints whatsoever.

We liked the house & location, but needs some maintenance and minor repairs (patio door handle , shower door handle; hot tub maintenance, smoke detectors malfunctioning). The ad for the house said we had full access to the rec center pool & fitness, but I don’t recall it mentioning a $20. Fee per person6. The host was quickly responsive to texts. Again we loved the location and area, just had some issues with the house.

A great house and great host. Hope to come back again and again.

We had 8 adults visiting for a golf trip and the house worked perfect.
