Pros-beautiful house, setting and quiet location. Property manager was efficient and helpful. Cons-a few minor things/repairs that kept me from giving it 5 stars: -no shampoo or soap/body wash in any bathroom (my mistake for assuming this would be provided, as in a hotel.) -hand soap dispensers in every bathroom were almost empty and/or hidden under the kitchen sink -ice maker was broken. Property manager was aware of this yet did not make us aware in advance. Once discovered, we had to make a second trip into town to get ice. -Master BR closet was locked and unavailable. In its place, a cheap rolling rack was provided for hanging clothes. It's a shame the owner did not designate another closet elsewhere as the owner's closet. -downstairs flooring is painted concrete with a loose animal hide rug on top. We rolled up the rug as it quickly became a tripping hazard. The concrete floor kept the downstairs much cooler than upstairs, which wasn't much of an issue in Sept, but would be in colder months. -found a few dead bugs and spiders in the downstairs bedrooms and closets. I realize these are probably hard to avoid in the mountains. -the screen door to the porch was missing a handle.
The home and setting were beautiful and the restaurants and shops were great! We were most disappointed to have to purchase our own bath bar soaps for the showers. Something that would be provided with any overnight stay. Little wrapped bars of soap or mini bottles of body shampoo, shampoo and conditioner would not be that expensive to provide and there would be no concern if guests left with them. The Kleenex tissue container was empty and only enough laundry detergent to do one load. Also the pillows were not very comfortable and the downstairs beds created static electricity. Not the fault of the home, but we had an infant just learning to pull himself up and the beautiful coffee table caused great concern for injury.
I have been to Cashiers many times and this house is by far the best rental we have stayed in! Extremely clean, beautifully decorated, well stocked with all things - even plenty of firewood! The hike outside the back deck to the lake was easy and provided beautiful scenery. I will definitely be back!
Nice house, centrally located.
Perfect for our needs except porch furniture not comfortable.
As advertised home in Trillium. Brought back good memories from over 20 years of family visits to the area.
Found the bathrooms to be in need of a cleaning (lots of loose hairs), check in process was awful (were never sent the code, left waiting on hold at the property after the check in time) and coffee maker was a nespresso with only decaf pods. Well renovated but in need of better cleaning and improved property management. Kitchen not very well stocked.
check in instructions for the door lock are not correct. MBed: We have rented many VRBO’s and this is the first time the MB suite closet had a lock on it. Suitcases and bags had to be on the floor of the bedroom. I understand that owners usually have a storage closet for personal items, but not the MB closet. Kitchen: no usable Dishwasher soap, a few in a plastic cup were wet/ melted. Glasses, utensils, baking dish were dirty and greasy. we had to run dishwasher upon arrival. disposal stunk Dirty sponge in sink Master Bath: Towels stored under BR counter next to the toilet plunger. So we had to wash all of towels to assure they were clean. Laundry Room: had an iron, but no ironing board. Supposed to be a supply of TP and PT. There was one roll of TP and one roll of PT, which were very poor quality. We replaced the TP as what was supplied was like sandpaper. There are carpenter ants in the house. fireplaces are not gas as stated And finally, It is offensive and intrusive to be watched with the front door ring camera watching us come and go. So I blocked the camera and then I was threatened with Eviction! I received phone calls and emails that I did not see until hours later as the cell reception is not great in this area. I called Evolve and April was not available and when I requested a call back never heard anything except they “reached out to the owner” This ruined the rest of our time there as we were afraid were going to be evicted.
This is a very nice house. It has been extensively renovated and the furnishings are very nice. It has everything you need in a rental. The only factors which kept it from being a five-star was the fact that it had some pest issues that I am sure will be controlled in the future. The location within the development was great; the furniture and kitchen, etc were great. It even had parking, which is hard to come by in this area. We would stay there again.
The perfect escape mountain getaway to relax and recharge. The house was beautiful in pictures and even more beautiful in person. Unanimous approval from our entire group (six women) and that isn’t easy. ;)
Everything was great except there was not any firewood. We really wanted to build a fire but couldn’t.
Everything exactly as advertised. Beautiful home extremely well appointed. Very comfortable. Only complaint was inability to get the downstairs tv to respond. Other than that everything was top notch.
What a place to stay - only wish we could've stayed longer! The home is a perfect setting for a mountain getaway. Quiet, serene, and well put together. Our entire group raved about it the entire weekend and are already contemplating our next visit. Thanks!
Amazing weekend getaway spot - tucked away in a serene mountain setting. 10/10 will be coming back to this place in the future and will bring the kids next time!
Clean, comfortable home in nice location. Short hiking trail to creek and waterfall in backyard. Kitchen is well equipped. Beds are comfortable. Not really kid friendly. Concrete flooring in basement. No highchair or crib. Steep stairs to get downstairs. This info is only for if you are bringing young children. Not meant to take away from the review stars. Only issue we had was being able to watch TV. You need to download your home streaming service provider. We have cable at home and it only allows to use home wifi to stream. We were able to log in to Netflix and Amazon Prime but no live sports or news. Also would be nice if the homeowners would offer a amenity card to access Trillium's golf, tennis, pool and restaurants. Had to drive to Cashiers for dinners and golf. Happs was our favorite. Whiteside Brewery and Salbtown pizza were fun spots to go also.
house was very nice and clean. nice trail behind house to stream and short walk to chapel. it is convenient to Cashiers and Highlands and surrounding areas
We enjoyed our stay very much! We will book again!
