Guest Access:

You'll have the entire house and grounds to yourself, with the exception of a locked cleaning closet.

Check in is at 5pm and check out time is by 10am. We do our best to accommodate early check in and/or late check out requests. We offer these based upon our housekeeping team's approval as their schedule can be demanding and for an additional fee of $25 per request. Please note, the earliest check in time available is 2pm and the latest checkout time we can accommodate is noon.

The Neighborhood:

Enjoy Colorado living with an abundance of forested mountains in view over the Shining Mountain Golf Course. At Mountainview Lodge you'll be conveniently close to hiking (trailheads within a few minutes by car), fly-fishing (gold medal waters within 30 minutes at Deckers or 11-Mile Canyon or just a bit further to the world-famous dream stream), and more. Just a 30-minute drive from the property, the enchanting Ice Castles in Cripple Creek are a must-see during the winter season. Mountainview Lodge is nestled in a quiet forested neighborhood just a few minute drive from the charming downtown of Woodland Park which has lots of choices for shopping, local restaurants, a lovely park, breathtaking views of the North Slope of Pikes Peak everywhere you go.

Getting Around:

It's best to bring or rent a car. We highly recommend 4-wheel drive for winter. The driveway is steep and can be icy at times, but local roads are very well maintained.

Experience Colorado’s renowned ski culture with several world-class ski resorts just a short drive away:

• Breckenridge Ski Resort: 2 hours and 10 minutes

• Keystone Resort: 2 hours and 20 minutes

• Monarch Mountain: 1 hour and 50 minutes

Spend the day carving powder, snowboarding, or enjoying après-ski dining before returning to the peaceful serenity of Woodland Park.

Other Things to Note:

+ Exterior facing security cameras for the front door, driveway, and street. NO cameras facing hot tub or indoors.

+ Sleep in peace on our super soft linens which were laundered in a professional facility to ensure the highest possible amount of viruses and bacteria are utterly destroyed.

+ We reserve the right to collect ID directly from our guests before allowing access to the property. This is in addition to identification you may be asked to provide to the booking platform.

+ No smoking of any kind inside, please.

+ Our team sets out linens appropriate to the number of people on your reservation so please make sure your reservation accurately reflects the number in your party. Be aware that we charge a $30/night fee for additional guests after 4.

+ Guests must be able to climb stairs.

+ The driveway is steep and north facing, so it may have ice and snowpack during cold weather. We highly recommend a 4WD vehicle during snowy times of the year. If you do not feel comfortable driving up the driveway you may park on the street and walk up.

Interaction with Guests:

We love helping guests make the most of their time in our beautiful area and live very close by. However, we give our guests space unless they ask for help or want to say ‘hi’ in person. Our team will be available throughout your stay and is always happy to provide advice on local restaurants, attractions, and adventures.

This beautiful house has incredible views of the mountains. The hosts were so accommodating. The property was everything I hoped it would be and more. Plan to return in the fall with my whole family to view the leaves changing color.

The home is nice, but there was a very strong floral perfumery smell in the primary bedroom upon arrival that was surprising. Since it wasn't air conditioned we requested an additional free standing fan that was delivered very quickly. After having the windows open overnight it was much better. Seemed strange that housekeeping wasn't aware of the smell and neither was the owner. Also there were multiple communications where we indicated wanting to check in before 5pm if possible with no mention of additional charges. Day of arrival we were advised it would be $20/hour. Ultimately we checked in at 2pm, but the owner waived the additional charges due to the odor issue which was appreciated.

Overall a great stay! Close to many attractions and grocery store. Only bummer; if you’re not looking hard you won’t see it doesn’t have air conditioning. The house did cool down at night and they provided fans but was an unfortunate oversight while booking. Would stay again regardless.

Exactly as advertised and photos. Really nicely appointed property. Hot tub is simple to operate with the instructions right by the door. Deer in the yard. Lots of Clarks Nutcrackers and Stellers Jays. Beatiful sunrise from the front deck.

We have fallen in love with the summer weather and surroundings of Woodland Park, Colorado to escape the extreme summer heat of the Southwest. The daily visit from the local deer in the neighborhood add to the charm. Many great mountain hikes within a short distance. This location with its views, and modern home with all of its amenities is highly recommended. The homeowner and support staff were very attentive to any needs we might have (none were needed as everything was well supplied). Can easily accommodate a large family.

Great property! The house is very open and spacious and has beautiful views of the mountains. Our extended family (my parents in their 70s, 3 kids in their early twenties, and a 14 year old) spent a week in the house and had plenty of space to spread out. The house looks brand new and has all of the amenities people could want. The location was ideal for us since it is close to shops, restaurants, and places to visit (cliff dwellings, Olympic Museum, Garden of the Gods, hiking trails, trails for off-roading, Pike's peak cog train....). We ran into one small problem and were able to reach the owners almost immediately. They quickly took care of the issue. Fantastic customer service! I highly recommend this property!
